I haven't been concerned with normal wear but am concerned about getting the gun back / replacement cost if I had to use it in a defensive situation. As far as weight, I already carry and extra 75+ lbs. around -- another 2 or 3 lbs. won't make that much difference...

I also have a Ruger Single Six that stays in the boat loaded with 22 Magnum Shot Shells. They are much better for unwanted critters than the 22LR.

Has anyone seen/held/shot one of these? Looks like a Marlin Papoose clone. It looks easier to handle than a Henry Survival Rifle. It can be found cheaper than the other two. Is it the gun to fill a need that's just not there??? Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I've always been a fan of the Buckmark. Good quality, accurate and affordable. But, if the right High Standard was found...

I picked up a Sport King M recently. Haven't got to shoot it yet but hope to soon. Anybody got info or pictures of theirs?

I've looked at ths man's work and craftsmanship long enough-- It's time to own one... -
If it's going to cost this much to shoot, I'll just have to go back to throwing rocks at my cans...

Had a pistol stolen around Christmas. Have been notified it has been recovered but is still tied up in court. Big relief to know where it is and will eventually get it back. Got lucky!

Thanks -- It was reported...

Whoever stole my pistol and glasses from my truck this weekend-- I hope you put on the glasses and cannot see, shoot yourself in the foot and your mother runs around barking and cannot get anyone to help you! If you run across a Green/blued Keltec P-3AT serial number JR649 Please be aware it is stolen. Other than that, Have a Merry and safe Christmas!

If you ever get to shoot a S&W model 16 (they are chmbered for 32 H&R Mag but will shoot 32 longs) you will love it! My favorite shooter/plinker/small game/target wheel gun!

Many years ago, a friend was deer hunting as a guest on a large Texas ranch. He climbed up in a tree over a trail and had been sitting there a few hours. The weather was iffy so he took along an old black rain slicker. A couple of hours before dark, another hunter came sneaking down the trail looking every way but up. As he approached the tree, my friend pitched the raincoat down and screamed. The other hunter tried to run but fell tangled in the raincoat. My friend almost fell out of the tree laughing but when the other hunter realized what happened, he was not amused. My friend spent about another hour apologizing to keep the hunter from shooting him. Needless to say, he was never invited back to the ranch and has never played any tricks again on a person holding a weapon.

Best bang for buck, I'd go Savage...

I know I'm a little late with this but I own a Model 70 XTR Featherweight in .270 cal. It has been my field rifle since the mid 80s. I have had Brownings, Remingtons and other Winchesters but this one is the most accurate and best handling rifle I've ever owned. When I got it, the Redfield Widefield scopes were the "going thing" and I still have that 2x7 scope on it. Sounds like a bargin at that price.

I'm a lefty (Same as Billy the Kid was...) but right eye dominant so I shoot right handed. Usually, with either hand, I can hit the barn door if I'm standing close enough...

In early 1990s, a friend came over with two S&W 32 mag revolvers he bought from a dealer going out of business. He said he could only take one home due to wife restrictions. I gave him $200 (if I remember right) for a new in box Model 16 w/6 inch barrel, combat grips, target hammer and trigger. It is still my favorite handgun...

Best use I've ever seen for a treadmill...
