I invest in ammunition... If the country turns upside down it will be the new currency in one form or another.

I went through the S&W Armorer's school and as part of the class we got to tour the factory including the custom shop. It wasn't what I expected and reminded me of a very old school craftsman's shop. These guys are true artists who take great pride in their work. If I could afford it... You bet I would buy a custom from them especially in a revolver.

I use it and it works good enough to let me know finger placement on the side of the frame. On carry guns I never use it as it will stick to your clothing.

Ummm ok. When I think of some American's saying "speak English" we mean speak the actual native language English not the language of your country. If I immigrated to a country where English was the not primary language, I would be expected to learn that new language to better assimilate into that culture. If I didn't learn that new language I wouldn't be able to assimilate into my new country thus possible incurring the disdain of my new countrymen. Is this so hard to understand? Wouldn't you perceive anyone who refused to assimilate as being both rude and lazy wishing to enjoy all of the benefits of their new country and all it has to offer without even feeling the personal duty to learn it's official language? I as an American and one of native American Indian heritage welcomes you. I would ask you to please speak English so that we can better understand each other and our views. Let me be clear that I am not asking you to denounce or to forget your native culture because it's those qualities you bring that make this country such a great and wonderful place. I can tell you that I am sick of immigrants who come to this country and cry prejudice because we expect them to speak English. I don't know of any other country that gives so much but asks so little of both legal and illegal immigrants. Last night, I heard a BBC commentator talking about the Pakistani born Faisal Shahzad who is a naturalized citizen and has admitted to planting the recent car bomb in New York's Times Square. The commentator said stated that they wondered what made Shahzad turn against his "adopted" country. Faisal Shahzad didn't adopt this country it adopted him after he earned the right to be here. Do the best you can in your English and your grammar. Anyone who would make fun of you for doing your best is an idiot and you shouldn't pay them any attention. /Rant off

I can remember going to a call back in the early eighties (Before video). We had a guy walk into Albertson's Grocery at three in the morning walk around picking up a few things. Guy makes it to the check out empty handed but waits behind some lady who's getting her stuff rung up. Cashier finishes and the guy steps up to the cashier. He then grabs his shorts (Jogging) and pulls them down exposing himself. The cashier is in shock and begins to call the night stock guys who were in the back taking a break. Before they get there the guy squats down and takes a dump on the floor then smiles and runs out the door. A couple of the stock guys chase him a couple of blocks but they loose him. No... We didn't collect evidence....

How many rounds total do you think you've put through the rifle? If it's close or over 2K then you should rebuild your bolt assembly and as cheap as the parts are, I would rebuild it anyway. If you look at the extractor check the spring to see how it's seated. is it mashed all the way in or missing the spring insert? You also might take a look at your gas tube where it enters the upper receiver and see if it's bent.

Anyone out there looking for a good employee in the tri-cities area? Only worked for 2 different employers in past 25 years. Background is in law enforcement and recent experience as sales manager of a gun store. No terminations or work issues, No problems with drug tests, polygraph etc... Pretty well rounded. Would consider travel if interesting enough job offer.

Great post but I have to ask seeing your avatar.... 1. Do you have the t-shirt? 2. If so, does it have more or less of the magical power of the three wolf?

Not at all.

Over a lengthy law enforcement career, I attended quite a few officer survival courses. Each time I did the issue of maintaining a “reaction gap†and Lt. Dennis Tueller’s “21 foot rule†came up. For those not familiar with this rule it simply states that an average healthy male can cover a seven yard distance in 1.5 seconds (21feet). The rule is still VERY valid today and if you’re in doubt, measure it off and try it yourself. Now ask yourself if you could consistently draw from concealment and fire at least two combat accurate hits on a target moving towards you in 1.5 seconds. If you’re honest, I’ll bet most said no and if you said “yes†you’re in good shape but there are a few other things I want you to be aware of. One of the key points in the FBI’s 1989 “Handgun Wounding Factor’s and Effectiveness†report came up with some simple conclusions. 1. No certain caliber will immediately stop a perpetrator unless the brain is hit. a. Drugs, Alcohol, and the perpetrator’s mental state also play a significant role in them continuing to fight. 2. Barring destruction of the brain, the only other way to force incapacitation is to cause sufficient blood loss so that the subject can no longer function. a. This takes time. b. Even if the heart is destroyed, the brain has enough oxygen for full voluntary action for 10-15 seconds. 3. Kinetic energy does not wound. a. “Knock down power†is a myth. b. Penetration kills (13+†or better). c. Bigger the wound better the effectiveness. d. Ammunition that will not pass through vital organs at less than optimum angels is insufficient. e. Larger bullets have the edge over smaller diameter bullets. Using the 21 foot rule and keeping in mind the FBI’s report, what are some ways an armed citizen can prepare themselves? Like law enforcement, there’s no way to go through life making sure you at least twenty one feet from everyone. Instead sharpen your situational awareness skills. If you can detect a threat earlier you have a tactical edge. If you can avoid a confrontation, I would always take that route unless you have no choice. If you are forced, do or attempt the following; 1. Place distance and better an obstacle(s) between you and your attacker. a. Placing an obstacle between you and your attacker will slow them down. 2. If time permits, issue a LOUD challenge “DROP THE KNIFE OR Iâ€LL SHOOT!†This will aid you if witnesses hear this even if they didn’t see what occurred. 3. If you cannot get distance or place obstacle(s) between you and your attacker(s), be prepared to fire and move “off line†simultaneously. a. Move offline to the opposite direction in which the attacker is holding his weapon i.e.â€if knife is held in the attackers right hand move rearward to your left at an angle (J Hook). Do not back up in a straight line. 4. Mentally prepare yourself to be cut or stabbed. This is a realistic thought in this situation and if you mentally prepare you won’t be shocked if it does occur. In closing, edged weapons homicides are only second to homicides committed with a handgun within the United States. Edged weapons also can be a screw driver, ice pick, or any other stabbing or cutting instrument made of metal or other hard material. In honesty, you have a much greater change of encountering an attacker with an edged weapon than a firearm and if you do you’re more prepared.

Pretty comprehensive site thank you for the link.

Man don't get me started.... In Florida it's common that illegal aliens openly picket on the streets for better wages without fear of being deported. I believe in legal immigration for anyone to better their life but why do that when you can be here illegally without any repercussion?

He was lucky that didn't get very ugly. I watch a version of the video twice and I never heard him tell anyone they were under arrest. The girl got what she deserved and should get charged with battery on the officer and an obstruction charge for interfering with him.

A couple of years ago I sold an Anzio 50 Cal. Very nice weapon and well made. Anzio is a small company compared to Barrett but small isn't necessarily a bad thing.

If anyone in here is certified to teach both the Basic and Pistol Instructor Course here in the Tri-Cities area please PM me as I would like to get these done. Prefer training done at my home and have access to range not more than 15 min away.

You could see if a local FFL would handle a transfer to the buyer.

Nice collection for sure. I always wanted a P7 but always seemed in the wrong place at the wrong time in getting one.

If you can build it cool (I'm a cert. armorer) but if you don't have the experience/tools in building I would look for a deal on an upper. The lower can be tricky but it can be done. A miscalculation in building the upper can be very serious. I'm partial to Magpul or ACE's socom stock but that's me. Looks like a good start.

Thanks for the great tip.

I don't belong to any local clubs as yet. Any suggestions are welcome.
