long story made short. my boss at work had a break in whiel he was at work last year. he had several unsecured firearms. 2 pistols, and AK and a shotgun. they got everything but the AK (it was hidden) his laptop and his 62 inch flatscreen.
months later the law called, one of his pistols turned up in a traffic stop. they summoned him to court. the perp gave a name of who he said he bought the gun from, pleaded guilty, was fined 50 dollars and has a charge of having stolen property. NOT felony possession of a handgun, but just stolen property. and was given 11 months 29 days suspended after serving a week in jail awaiting arriagnment.
the kid might be able to buy a gun later on down the road. that is the problem with gun crimes. sorry ass judges. i mean sorry.

they can microstamp all they want. what people forget about is those of us who conduct private firearms deals. those deals are not tracked in any database and the government has no idea where the hell the guns go after they eave the dealers.
last time i checked, i can get a new firing pin for my glock (as many as i want) for very cheap. my suggestion is let them talk that ****. there are millions of legal guns out there everyday, and there is nothing the feds can do about that number guns.
stupid government. they need to stop wasting time and money on petty things and get to taking the criminals off the streets.
my 2 cents.

the game in chattanooga has gone from shooting the ammunition to finding the ammunition.
found some .40 at a walmart across town and bought up about half of it. i got an evil look from the better half after buying 500 rounds. but hey, you cant find that stuff anywhere. that is the game i have been playing =)

i have shot the 30, 33, 27, 19 and the 36. i currently carry the 27, and it is very accurate. the smaller the round though, the easier it is to shoot. the 9mm G19 was like throwing rocks compared to the .45 models of the 30 and 36. the sig round is too damn expensive so now i have the .40 that is more than enough penetration and knockdown power combined with speed for the value of the dollar.

and why do you feel it is your business to exploit this list? and dont sit there and give me this crap about it being public information. it has been public information since the inception of the tennessee handgun permit.
-
i dont hang around long when there are others there either. too many inexperienced people go there.
-
i have to finish replacing the front clip on my lumina. no 500 or shooting for me. sounds good though.
-
i am listed as well. no sense in getting upset over this.

i work with a police officer and his reply was simple when asked how he would handle the order to go confiscate guns. he simply looked at me, took out his credential and threw it on the ground and walked away and stated that is what he would do. he stated his life is not worth someone shooting him over a dirty job ordered down from above.
if that situation came to the forefront, the local LEOs would be the ones called to take the ones who refused to hand over said firearms to jail, and therefore they would be the ones in the most danger in my eyes.

in my wallet, in front of the dl. it also has a clear window. when i am asked for ID, i toss out the gun permit. it draws some funny ass looks.
lol one lady asked me if that gun permit was legal. that led to me telling her all about how to obtain her permit.
back to the topic, when i have to pull out the HCP and DL, they get handed to LEO with the permit on top. it has gotten me out of 3 tickets for my honesty about being legally armed.

for the 10000000000000000000000000th time, it is a HANDGUN CARRY PERMIT, not a CHL or CCL or CCW or CCP. thanks, drive through.
-
it had to do with the background checks were not being run on renewals from what i heard. permits were issued to people who had a permit but were no longer eligible to retain them. others were sliding through the cracks as mentioned above too. i read about this almost a year ago.

Schuford's BBQ. it is on the right, the brown building right past Subway. best damn bbq in chattanooga hands down.

to each his own on the open carry. i carry open all the time and never get a second look. the debate on open versus concealed has been beat to death in this forum and every other forum on the internet. fact is if you dont mind the attention, you can open carry. if you want to avoid all suspicious looks, carry it concealed and keep it to yourself. concealed means just that so dont advertise.
and congrats on the G27. i have one and it is a fine shooting machine. get the +1 extension for it. it will help you hold on to the pistol a lot better.
-
i wonder if you got burned on the fugitive from justice question?
-
i got denied my second time i went to purchase another pistol. i filed an appeal and it was overturned in less than 12 hours. there is a glitch in the system im sure. i have been cleared instantly, had to wait a day, and had to wait 3 days before. its bs.

according to the chattanooga message forums, there is a shoot that is happening at Prentice Cooper Sunday Feb 1st at 1pm. i will try to make it so if StrickJ and GUTTERBoY and a few others want to go shoot, there is an opportunity right there. one of the members said he was bringing about 10 handguns and ammo.

amen on the Dead On Arrival. the government is so wrapped up in itself and that amnesty bull****, that pretty much sealed the deal for the border patrol's ability to carry out the shoot on sight.
