Here's to hoping the weather is nice.
Oh and BTW this month is Target Manufacturers Month. If you have made a target and it's been used in a match, you get free match fees this month. Our way of expressing Happy Thanksgiving!
That sounds about right...... Lol... I know you are too tight for that.... -
I've seen the pistol plate.
You Suk....... :surrender:
Come on DJ ... I thought you were an open guy... You just need a little magnification on that optic....:-) -
Since I'm not going to make this one it would be a good time to try that new pistol plate I gave you at about 25yds...:-)
-
Thanks for posting ... I can't make it in Dec but hope to make it down early next year for sure.

I plan to schedule a match soon.... I still need to acquire more targets and props at this point.

Come on....You have fun stages every month......
I don't really like to shoot slugs but I could probably find more than one that needs to be shot....:-) -
I’m looking to help initiate some Tactical 3 Gun Competitions in Southern Middle TN. In an effort to increase demand in my area, I’m offering a FREE 3-Gun Class/Clinic/Demo day in Summertown, TN. Eagle Eye Shooting Complex has agreed to allow us the use of their range for this event and some club level 3-Gun Competitions. This will be a good opportunity for people that have been considering starting 3-Gun to come out and get a better feel for what it’s all about. We will spend a few minutes in the classroom covering the basics of 3-Gun and action shooting sports, then go out to the range where I will have a demo stage (maybe two) set up for those that want to try it out on the clock. If you are interested or know someone that is, bring your guns and ammo and come try it out…. If you don’t have all the guns yet just bring your ammo and you can borrow mine.
This 3-Gun event is planned for 1pm on Sunday 7/13/14 at Eagle Eye Shooting Complex

Hope to see you there ... Mike

where is the mtpsa range?
MTPSA is in Lewisberg.... It's Middle Tennessee's best kept secret...
You can send me a note if you are interested in more information....
MTSC is in Manchester... and is another great club
-
we should be there, unless something happens. may not be able to shoot stage 5 though.
No excuses now... I'm guessing you will be on the shoot through plan so shoot stage 5 with us and I will load that tube fed SG for you if that's your concern....;-)
See you there....

Rules for MTSC 3G on the 26th
9. Scoring
9.1 Scoring per stage will be straight time plus penalties with stage points. Maximum time allowed to shoot any stage is 180 seconds.
9.1.1 Any IPSC cardboard target, designated as a “shoot†target must have either one (1) Zero Down (-0) hit OR two (2) Three Down (-3) hits anywhere inside the scoring perforations on the target to avoid a penalty. Heavy Metal and Heavy Tactical Optics require 1 hit anywhere within the scoring perforations on paper to neutralize.
9.1.2 Example of scoring and penalties on paper targets:
a. One Zero Down (-0) hit = no penalty
b. Two hits in any combination of One Down (-1) and Three Down (-3) hits or one hit anywhere within the scoring perforations by .308 = no penalty
c. One hit on paper but not in a Zero Down area = 5 second penalty
d. Target not neutralized but target was engaged = 10 to 60 second penalty depending on stage
e. Target Not Engaged (TNE) = 10 second penalty for not making the minimum two hits anywhere on the target plus 5 seconds, per target, for the TNE PROCEDURAL for a total penalty of 15 seconds per target added to time.
9.1.3 Paper targets used in the match will be IPSC,USPSA, IDPA and sometimes “special†style targets.
9.1.4 Designated “No Shoot†targets that are hit will incur a 10 second penalty for each hit.
9.1.5 Knock down style targets (i.e. poppers or steel) must fall to score or must fall to penalize.
9.1.6 Frangible targets must break to score (one BB hole is a break).
9.1.7 Swinging style rifle targets must be struck solid enough to cause the hidden “flash card†to be visible to the RO. RO may call hits.
9.1.8 Failure to engage a frangible, knock down or swinging style target will result in a 15-second penalty (10 sec. for not making the hit and 5 sec. TNE).
9.1.9 Engaging a frangible, knock-down or swinging style target but not breaking it, knocking it down or causing the target to react will result in a 10 second penalty per target.
9.1.10 Procedural penalties, 5 seconds per shot, may be assessed for failing to follow the stage directions as written in the stage description.
9.1.11 Procedural penalties, 5 seconds, may be assessed for failing to follow stage procedures.
9.1.12 Stage Not Fired (SNF/DNF) penalty, 600 seconds per stage not fired.
9.1.13 Maximum penalty time for any stage (including target penalties) is 600 seconds.
9.2 Stage Points
9.2.1 First Place (lowest time) for each stage, in each division, will receive 100 points; Second Place and below will figure points on a percentage basis of the 100 from 1st Place.
9.2.2 Total points accumulated for all stages will determine the match placement by division.
9.2.3 Ties will be broken by an undisclosed Tie Breaker Stage designated by the Range Master.
9.2.4 Highest score wins.
