This is from theTennessee Wildlife Officers Association's face book page. The US Army Corps of Engineers is presently trying to shut down all recreational boat traffic above and below their dams meaning the sportsmen will no longer be able to fish for catfish, stripe, trout, etc around those prime fishing areas. They are trying to do this without even a comment period from the public and are not at all working with our agency or anyone else to back up their reasoning or come to a compromise. Please contact your local congressman or woman and tell them that this is not right and that sportsmen make up a huge percentage of the people in Tennessee.

Amen to the George Dickel. My old pappy use to say Black label is for sipping, Green is for mixing with water anything else put in you might as well use Lem Motlow. Rumor I hear is George taught Jack how to make wiskey.

Just got back from taking my wife to the doctor at Centennial Med Center and that was the sign posted on the front door. Question- Does a person with a HCP make them authorized? Unsure of answer so locked gun in car. I hate that feeling of leaving it in the car and try to avoid any place that post.

Trying not to take it personal but.... I am a HOME INSPECTOR and what we do is not a joke..... We have to be licensed by the State had to go to school, continue going to school to renew license every 2 years. Take and pass exams to keep license. Now that rant is over. A home inspector looks at 5 major parts of the home. Electrical, Plumbing, Roofing, HVAC, and Sturcture and Foundation. Every thing else is mostly cosmetic on the house. Now not all inspectors are the same and there are questions you should ask. You should be at the inspection. Does the inspector climb on the roof if safe to do so? State only requires looking from ground with binoculers. Mold certified? A good inspector will take the time to walk you thru the house top to bottom and explain his inspection and answer any questions you have that come up.

Do you ever host a match that one can shoot a smaller caliber weapon in? 380, 32, 25, or even 22? -
You have to love murphys law. Just when i think i can pick up my first rifle that is not a 22 the fuel pump on 1 car goes out, a new radiator is needed on the other along with battery, AC system and O2 sensor. I am afarid to ask whats next. So for now the Mini is on hold. Thanks for the advise and Tnshooter i did not think about resale. They say things happen in 3s I only wish it was 3.

It is time to buy a rifle that is not a 22. I have looked at hundreds and I know every one has an opinon just like holes in our bodies. I have decided on the Ruger M 14 or 30. There is just something about the feel of that rifle in the hand that fits me. Here is the ? Is the 223 any better than the 7.26 round or vice versa and why. Price, distance shooting, accuracy, something i have not thought of. Opinions required, maybe......

NTPS Steel Match Sunday June 26 in Dickson
Randy W replied to AH1356's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
Is there any thing a new shooter should know? How many mags? How long does it last? What caliber weapons can be used? And any other info that might help. My son and I plan to be there. -
Nicemac, yes you should have pushed the issue with the foundation. It helps to weed out those that dont need to be in bussiness. A home inspector is looking at 5 main areas of the home if they are doing there job right. 1. Roof 2. Foundation and Structure 3. HVAC 4. Plumbing 5. Electrical Inside these groups there are hundreds of things we look at. Things to note: This time of year the manufacture of the HVAC recommends we not run the Heating system if the outside temp is above 75 degrees. Inspectors do not perform water quality testing. BIG NOTE: Some inspectors offer Radon Testing. price anywhere from 100 to 150 $ Home depot and lowes sells the kit for 13.99. Also any home built before 1978 has the potential of having Asbesto materials and or Lead paint in the home. Effectiv oct 2010 any painter hired to work on these homes is supposed to be EPA lead certified.

Oh. 1 more thing. For 1 in every 6 homes i am inspecting now I have to ask if they are ready to buy a MONEY PIT. There are a lot of rough homes out there on the market now.
-
Shortfir, You are thinking about the appraiser not the home inspector.
