  1. Sounds like you found your inner peace on the trail.  Good Luck if able and keep in touch some on the way.   I believe I remember reading some of your posts from the first trip, it got me kinda excited as well   I have to much going on to be able to make a trip like that but it got me thinking about at least sometimes taking a vacation and hiking part of it.   Do you know when you plan to head out on this new trip?
  2. I ask the same question to the man I took my HCP class from.  He told me as many as you can swim with.
  3. F for Freedom.   *when I read the title my first thought was, how did we do worse then NY, I now see we did Fantastic instead of fail.
  4.   If thinks get that bad, you will probably see me leaving Oak Ridge as well  actually I am going in a different direction but same idea.  Oak Ridge might be risky.   Need to pack, radiation pills for thyroid
  5.   I can answer that.    George Washington  "A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government."   http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/George_Washington
  6. Just remember in case of Terrorist, I am sure the TSA are not their to protect.  I bet if an active situation occurred and they they would not be the ones to resolve it.
  7. Being first lady is the only job one can legally get that I can think of that requires you to be married to someone.    I almost bet the First Man with be married to another dude at the rate we are going.
  8. I have said for a long time, places that offer the classes should start considering giving discounted courses to the Media if they follow thought all the way and get their permit.   One, it puts a gun in their hands, teaches them safety and they would be background checked and known to be legal to carry.  Might even cause a bit of positive press.
  9. I am sure they are just holding them in the evidence locker or Ebay.   http://blog.tsa.gov/2009/09/what-happens-to-your-prohibited-items.html
  10. Yes, yes, maps, Here. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/61418-new-tn-highway-map-released/
  11. Never thought about and never been ask.   I did like the idea of, it is medical.
  12. TSA believes the lack of catching terrorist is proof of effectiveness.   It is a Linus blanket effect.  It really doesn't do anything, but it gives that warn and fuzzy feeling to the sheep.   (AKA, I want to coin the phrase Linus Blanket Effect)
  13. play with fire and get burnt.
  14. ORSA is the only place I know in TN that has a 1,000 yard range.  In Oak Ridge TN.
  15. I know your route is pretty direct, although you might want to consider some back up routes as well.    Example my primary route is railroad tracks, but I expect others to use them as well
  16. I have some ammo, but I don't plan to shoot it until I can replace it.
  17. well since she has the bill, if she really wanted she could press charges on the restaurant but probably won't be worth the effort.   It was totally a bad call by the police to turn over her information.
  18. very good points.  very well spoken.
  19. You know, these targets should be back in play so to speak now, since DHS is buying no-hesitation targets.
  20. Don't forget Bill and Al in that.   I was just in highschool but that is exactly what I thought with Bush and Quayle
  21. Perhaps there should be a move to have Joe Biden disbarred for giving bad legal advise.   I know it won't do much to him but still.  He is purposely giving bad advise to further support his position.   In FL it is a 20 year sentence for giving warning shots.   http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/11/justice/florida-stand-ground-sentencing
  22.   You mean take away her Obama phone don't you?
  23. when I was in college, as a way to meet girls I thought, a friend and I freshman year went to a free campus self defense class.  It was mainly meant for woman but men were welcome. I believe he and I was the only males in the room.   Well, I ended up wearing the suit and got to be the target of the class.  It was fun and well I met women that night.   However I recall them telling them a couple of those steps as a last resort to try to discourage an attacker.   In short, this is not new by any means.  That was back in 93/94.
  24. Did you guys see this. He said a double barrel shot gun was enough.   He even said he told his wife if needed to take it and not direct quote, fire 2 warning shots to scare people off if needed.   If I only had a double barrel shot gun, the last thing on my mind would be a warning shot knowing I would need to reload.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eWpIXPqdJqY   I promise he won't give up his guards and only use a double barrel shot gun.
