  1.   Thinking about it, Walmart should have openned at least one of those and put boxes of 20/30 out on the shelves to give the impression they had allot.
  2.   Yup that was an interesting idea.  I used to image what just one modern jet could do in WW2.  Probably only one good mission as rearming would be out of the question.   A former marine I worked with thought one Marine unit with today's training/knowledge using period correct weapons could have seriously changed something like the civil war, shorted it.
  3. Really?   Then I will probably just to have one, make one of the a 300 just for some more power.
  4. The walmart boxes was American Eagle, so .45 per round
  5.   Seems like I remember a morning prayer in Kindergarten.  That was back in 80.   Also I remember learning Eeny, meeny, miny, moe back then and it was a few years later the word tiger was introduced.  I never knew that other then a rhyme for picking who went first.  Never knew the negative meaning for years.
  6. well it was cheaper then gander mnt at 500 per 1000.   Interesting enough, the guy that brought 2 boxes said his preacher was interested in some.  I should have ask what church.
  7. When it comes to AR's I am very green.   I have read what OS is saying and read that in the past as well.  I understand the idea of building a pistol first but not sure if I want an AR pistol.   However I did like the idea of an AR pistol as one example to have it in a camping bag and still be legal were a rifle in the same would not be.   Here is a question I have, for a 300 BLK, same receiver as the .556? just different guts/mags/upper/barrel?   Just wondering if I should think about doing 1 as 556 and the other at 300 BLK.  But again, I am behind the curve on AR builds.  I don't even have a parts list yet.
  8. My jaw dropped when I saw three 1000 round boxes of .223 at the Oak Ridge Walmart today. Guy in front of me brought 2 of them at 450 per box.   I didn't buy but thought about it.     not a .22 in the house.
  9. :dropjaw:   I can't find an i give up (hands in the air) trying to understand people emoticon.
  10. They are telling on the news today 1 shooter and he acted alone.   Well, they now have their poster child that background checks don't work. This guy was ex navy, and had 2 shooting incidents.     They are talking about his past and 2 other incidents of his discharging a gun.  Once shooting out the tires of a person.   They already seem to know(reporting) that he brought his gun in Virginia.  What kind of records do they have to be able to track down a gun purchase location so fast?  less then 24 hours. They are reporting like they already know everything.  Seems they have their answers a bit fast.
  11. right now I am glad CMT is working with us on this.  Before the next rush occurs.
  12. WTF.  "President Obama waived a provision of federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to terrorist groups to clear the way for the U.S. to provide military assistance to "vetted" opposition groups fighting Syrian dictator Bashar Assad."  isn't that aiding and aiding and abetting the enemy?
  13. Also I thought late last week there was some blur about an Al qaeda threat.  Of course I can't find that now.
  14. Sorry for all the victims.   This is proof that gun free zones are not safe.  Serious, how much safer could a gun free zone be then a military base Surrounded by a gun free zone (Washington DC)
  15. http://www.mediaite.com/online/why-did-police-shoot-this-football-player-who-had-just-survived-a-car-wreck/

  17.  I got mine from the same trainer I got my HCP training though. the Cert is only good for 2 years and then you are suppose to retrain.  I probably won't.  Didn't enjoy the OC/Pepper spray too much.
  18. I have to us that form of communication with my wife when she is in the next room due to her having ear buds in.
  19. I use Tunein almost daily m-f at work.   I will have to check in to premissiondog though
  20. It has some skills I don't have.  (skate boarding)
  21. Well, wife and I just looked, and found this.   http://www.bluemoontheatres.com/midtown.htm   Midtown Drive-In 2728 Roane St. Hwy. Harriman TN 37748   We at the Midtown wish to thank all of our loyal and dedicated customers that have supported us this year.  We are closed for the 2013 season.  Due to the movie industry's decision to quit making 35 MM film after 2013, the Midtown Drive-In will close as a Theatre.     Parkway Drive-In 2909 E. Lamar Alexander Pkwy. Maryville TN 37804   The Parkway is closed until the Spring of 2014 due to the unavailability of movies on 35mm film.     These were on the page of open ones http://www.drive-ins.com/srchdest.htm?name=&city=&code=tn&status_op=open&search.x=8&search.y=7     A few more mouse clicks lead me to find http://projectdrivein.com/,  seems some are trying to save a few drive ins.
