So, when do we find out what is in the pallets or do we have to wait until Christmas?

If you made that consideration I am sure she would find a way to shoot though the bank account. :D

let me sum up high speed internet. Location, Location, Location. I used to do tech support for BellSouth when they had their support though Client Logic. Of course we only heard from people that had horrible connections. I am sure it worked for most people. Then you hear the horror stories about Comcast, you only here from the ones that have trouble. In my experience My Comcast connection has been great here in Oak Ridge. I have heard from others here in Oak Ridge that have horrible connections with them. It seems if your locations has bad service with the other, switch and see if the other is better. One will most likely work out for you, while you may have issues with the other. 3rd Location. Some people still live in rural areas where neither is serviced by Land Based High Speed internet. Hughes net knows this and exploits them with higher fees, bandwidth limits. To top that off, due to satellite latency VOIP doesn't work. People in the 3rd location, like my parents end up even paying the AT&T AT&T Universal Connectivity Charge http://www.consumer.att.com/connectivity_charge/ Yes, it is due to FCC and all that rubbish. So in short, my parents have to pay for the above, and they can't even buy high speed internet service though AT&T. This started in 97. Well my parents never had a kid in a school that had internet service. There is no local libraries in their area for internet access. Seriously, help pay for health care providers? I honestly feel this fee has been being paid all these years and the phone companies have made no effort to put in service in many of these rural areas. Thus pay the fee and if you want the service have to buy it from Hughes net and pay a higher fee for a lesser service. I know I pointed out Hughes net but I am aware there are a few others. I have been wanting to get a good write up on the Universal Connectivity Charge and write our congressman about it. Satellite internet has higher pings due to the much longer round trip and the speed of light limitations.

explains the sticker Yes, I am being mean but I saw that the other day on a jeep and had not had a chance to say anything about it to anyone else that would be a kick out of it.

I have had comcast for over 10 years, probably close to 13 or so. I have had no issues with netflix and remember do to the net neutrality thing, netflix already agreed to pay comcast for the fast lane. I use netflix streaming on TV, PC, phones, no issues.

I have heard from some people storing ammo in a safe might not be a great idea in the event of a fire. Some believe if it gets hot enough to set off the ammo, well everything in there will be gone. However I wonder if it gets that hot, wouldn't everything be damaged already? Either way, I don't have my ammo in my safe. Fixing a better ammo solution is on my list though.

I thought the whole call was strange. I called and was going to reduce my internet speed a level which I figured would be about 10 bucks a month. I wasn't trying to wheel and deal. got 25 off and kept my speed level. I do similar with direct TV about once a year, I call and get 10 bucks off for a year at time. It's the little things, if you don't ask, you don't get them.

OK, thought Comcast I only have internet, but you have to pay for the TV line as well. My bill is about 75 bucks. I got a bill just now for 140 plus. Seems I may have missed a payment. Well I just looked though my records and found a mistake. I had missed a payment in Feb, but made march, and april and appears I hit the billing dates just right that I just now some how ended up behind. Either way, Yes I was behind by my own account. So I just sent the payment and here is where it gets interesting. I decided to call comcast, I was going to ask them to reduce my current internet speed a level or so to reduce my bill I called and got the billing department and I didn't really say much other then I wanted to see about reducing my bill some. The lady was almost to the point of rude but I could tell she was reading a script. You can tell when they make a mistake or so and back up and continue. Besides the point. She pretty much just checked and found a internet promotion that would reduce my internet service from 54 to 19 and make my total bill about 50 a month. I just say great she also said it prorated what I was behind and made my current bill go from 146 to 73 dollars. I didn't ask for a promotion or threaten to cancel or anything. I have been known to do both but seems Comcast today is being very friendly with discounts. So now I have the same service I had yesterday for a reduced rate for 6 months. Hard to argue with that. Just bringing this up in case anyone else wants to call Comcast and see if they can get on a promo for 6 months.

That is me, right now, I want a 9mm, partly due to ammo cost and also my wife will be more comfortable shooting it I believe vs a .45. Most of my gun purchases I am considering if she will shoot it. That is not to say if there is something I just want, I won't get it if she can't handle it. Just that I am trying to consider her in the purchase process.

I have a RG that was give to me as well, in double action, it miss fires regularly, however if you pull the hammer back with your thumb it fires every time. I am holding it and waiting for one of those gun trade ins that give like 100 dollars cards or something crazy. Might as well burn one of those places with it as I could never sell or give it to someone in good conscience.

I really like this except they don't make this one in 9mm as far as I can tell. My next gun is going to be a 1911 9mm. Correct me if I am wrong if there is a 9mm version of it. Desert Eagle 1911 U Model DE1911U http://www.magnumresearch.com/Firearms/Magnum-Research-Desert-Eagle-1911-U-Model.asp In my opinion, it looks much better then any of the 9mm baby eagles. The steel and Polymer ones look about the same and have a look I just can't like. Anyways I am shopping for a 1911 compact and was trying to consider a DE. But from what I can see they don't make exactly the look I would like. If I was in the market for a .45 the above DE would be it. My other contender is a Colt Defender. I have a few others I am looking at as well. Yes I know, I am probably going to hear get the .45. But I am already stocked up on 9mm ammo. Any other suggestions on a 1911 9mm, compact models in major brands? Already looking at Colt and S&M. Might be a small thing, but I want to like the looks of my guns as well as performance. If you want to see something ugly, look at the Micro Desert Eagle's.

I approve.

Boy. Seriously when someone sees a strange dog and tries to talk to him or convince him it is safe to come over to them. Here Boy, Here Boy, come on, who's a good boy?

It had been longer then I wanted, but finally got back out to the gun range yesterday after work. Took my P22 and my PMR30. Also took my wife. only took about 2 stringers and 50 magnums. It was probably the first time in about a year my wife went shooting. I was glad to see she had not lost any points. We got there and there was one other family shooting with their young girls. We setup a few tables away. Wife and I talked about safety first, had the range go cold and setup or targets and had a good time. All shooters had no issue having the range go cold to setup/adjust targets. In short it was a very nice evening. Both guns performed well, with only 1 misfire on the P22 which my wife was able to clear and continue her set. I took limited ammo for a couple reasons, One I used to take her out with both of us shooting .22lr with a box of 500. We would shoot the entire box and I always thought she was shooting to fast to really be practicing her aim. With limited ammo, I got her to be more patient and to take her time a bit more and she did much better. I also felt like I shot tighter groups as well. I also was trying something one of our local Police officers showed me at the range last month. I found a .40 cal shell on the range, balanced it on my barrel to make sure I wasn't jerking the trigger to hard. Jerking the trigger has always been one of my issues to work on. All in all, a safe, fun night with improvements all around. I was glad to see another family no only shooting together and that they appeared to have good safety skills. I watched some of there shooting and they where hitting their targets good. I would guess the girls where 10-14. the youngest was shooting a .22 revolver while the other was shooting a .45 revolver.

You might find here here. If you don't know, you can search by state now. -
I am sure the antigun group will back her, say she had no knowledge of guns, shift 100 percent of the blame to the guy. They will try to make her a poster child for more strict regulations.

Just wondering if you can get past .37 seconds. Really bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kvsIiC-JAQ

BTW, telling all of you, if you ask me to shoot you in your bullet resistant vest, I am going to answer no and suggest counseling.

So, normally vests are over the chest. So what was he protecting with the vest if not his chest? hmm. Guess it didn't fit right. I wonder if they checked the expire date? Also small caliber gun, ? guessing .17 or .22?

When I lose things around the house, I say the house too it's share for letting me live there. It never fails when I do find something, something else is lost. The house gives and takes.

This is very good. I started buying up the ammo before getting the gun. I plan to buy one next month.

I am getting ready to get a 9mm 1911 Pistol and I want to make sure I am getting the right ammo. Pretty sure I am. So far I have been buying up Winchester 9mm Luger 115-Grain Full Metal Jacket Bullets, 100ct at Walmart when available. I got about 800 rounds or so now. Anyways, is 9mm end all and be all or are there different favors like ..45 acp vs .45 gap, .45 LC.?

A thought I had on increasing .22 LR availability
vontar replied to JAB's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
At this point I have serious doubts on it returning to what we call normal, being able to just walk in and buy a brick. I don't see it returning any time soon. I remember being one of the early ones to be concerned and everyone said, after Christmas production will return to normal and the shelves will stock up, well that was like a year and a half ago. -
