  1.   I did not know this.  Next time I am out that way I will have to stop in and look.  like your follow post suggested, probably limited supplies but good to know.
  2.   Oak Ridge TN is the same.  They way it is wrote, even a paintball gun.  Sling shots are most likely covered as well.
  3.     that is pretty much what I believe I am doing Going to work on correcting myself.
  4. Any recommendations for a 9mm bore site?   I want to try one out in my colt defender 9mm.   I am shooting a bit off target, but I believe it is me, not the pistol.   I believe I am pulling off target as I keep going low and left pretty consistently.
  5. on the news this morning they didn't say it was an all out ban.  They just ask people to not bring them.  as long as there are no signs it is only a request.   However I am sure that ever so helpful gun group that keep protesting by open carrying to Star Bucks will get involved and get target to put up signs.
  6. I have heard of that program, but it is illegal for me to shoot hogs from the ground since they removed them from hunting session.  In short making them a protected species.
  7.  When south park did it the first time no one even took notice.  It wasn't until years later another guy did that it became a big deal.  The south park one pre dated when they threatened to kill that one guy over it.   It was in the south park muhammad super best friends episode.  However that 1 is Not available for streaming over netflix but you can get the DVD of it.
  8.   yup, that was just propaganda that the video caused the riots.  It got the blame for what another ass did.
  9. Need to order some Silver Bullet Gun Oil.
  10. They believe in signs.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozJTenNzUKM
  11. Well that explains what is happening in Iraq.  ISIS is just going round town to town to assist people on their  pilgrimage to mecca.  Move along, nothing to see here.
  12. OK, I came across this and I don't understand the why behind it.  I understand the device and how it works but why do it.   I was looking up some Carbide lamps for my uncle and came across this.  Then they used it to smoke the front sights.   Anyone here do this or similar?   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXF0u8OrLdU   Jump ahead to the 3 minute mark if you don't want the whole video.
  13. I haven't see any major news jumping on this like they did a few days ago.
  14.  But keep in mind, that is also a pretty standard question they ask, to you have any guns, knifes, etc.
  15. I could if I was running it though Illinois database (not a separate check). Are you saying Tennessee doesn’t have that ability? I think multiple TN Officers on here have said they can. This is only offered as what I have heard on a police scanner. I have heard a tag ran and dispatch reported back that the registered owner of the car/truck had a permit. This does not appear to be the normal and it does not tell them who is driving at the moment. It may have been an exception rather the rule. Maybe they where looking for something specific. I have also heard a DL called in and when dispatch came back report the person also has a HCP. Keep in mind at least in TN, the DL and the HCP numbers are the same, so it is just a matter of searching the DB. Keep in mind, whether or not we like it computers are making the world a much smaller place then it ever was.
  16. Wow this turned fast.  I haven't read everything yet but I wonder how they determined it was a hoax so fast.

    Count me out!

Here in Oak Ridge we have officers that volunteer to be bicycle cops.  They pushed for the program and even choose to right their own personal bikes.   One of them told about pulling over a car to write a ticket.

    Stoping Power

I thought this was going to be another caliber vs caliber war.   Much less Drama then I expected.   BTW, a hit with anything bets any miss.
  19.   One tip, keep proof that it is paid for years.  Every now and then you hear a case where someone thought they paid off a ticket years before and it has come back to haunt them.  Myself I have had 2 but don't ask me to prove I paid either.  I know I did but it was before I considered keeping any records.   Second, Be sure to post a picture of your new gun with a range report.  :D
  20. I am still in belief it is real. I believe the manager couldn't recognize Classic Money. I have said it before they way they keep changing it, make it easier at first for counterfeiters as people are confused about what is real and isn't. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/281364929394?lpid=82 http://www.oldcurrencyvalues.com/1950_ten_dollar_bills.html I know OP wants to keep it now, for the story but just saying as long as the back side is printed right, I believe it is real and I would trade 10 bucks for it.
  21. looks real to me, I would let the sonic manager know it was real but still keep it.   I have an old 1950,  50 dollar bill in my safety deposit box that doesn't have In God We Trust.  I thought it was strange but I believe I found that was added later.   Also note the G and 7 are a match.  The letter and number combo always matches the place in the alphabet.     Also Old bills will/may fail the pen test places like walmart use.  I have seen it, on good legit bills.
