  1. I have passed on the wisdom of crowd sourcing here.  She is going to let the insurance handle it.  She is just upset over not being able to really do anything at the moment but wait on them.  I fully understand that.
  2.  If it could be proved who owned the cow, I can't see how the car driver could owe them the price of the cow since the cow was in the road.  However I can see the cow owner owing damages. However does not appear likely.  I believe she needs to let her insurance fight it out.
  3. It was 5 a.m. ish. so it was dark.  The cow was lucky for her walking/running in the same direction she was traveling.  She hit it in the ass instead of of the side.
  4. Don't believe it was tagged or branded.  (going for TV, Flash and Supernatural).
  5. I just ask.  As far as I know the state hauled it off as no one claimed it on site.
  6. I had a co worker hit a cow on the way to work.  It appears to have totaled her car.  (cow dead instantly)   She wants me to keep her name and pictures out of this for now.   She believes she knows who the owner of the cow is, however they claimed to not own it while repairing the fence just yards away from the accident. She has pictures of them repairing the fence, as well as pictures at the scene.  She has reported it to the insurance but they are waiting on the police report.   She did have full coverage on the car, but is tore up that she has just been buying a brand new car (few years) she only had 10 payments left. 22,000 car with no issues she has checked the blue book to be about 7k now (ford focus).     I don't guess there is any way to prove ownership of a Angus cow.   She is wondering if she might be able to make them pay the deducible or help cover some of her lose.  any thoughts.  I am thinking it is slim to none.
  7. I think the first year was good. But then in my opinion Discovery felt the need to introduce drama.  The drama was so made up and for me that is when the show went down the tubes.   Same for Ice Road Truckers, first season was good, showed the right way to do things, second year same people were overly careless and it went down hill fast.   American Guns, first season good, but started going down hill after that as well.
  8. Most City noise ordinances kick in at Dark or 9p.m. They even include Lawn Mowing.  However I read you are not in the city so guess that is out.  I would say unreasonable.     Can't tell from the picture but do you have a safe place to shoot from your yard? good backstop?  Invite us over for Gun show and tell, BYOB (Bring your own Bullets) party some evening.
  9.  Jan and Feb, I don't want to hear you complaining about the cold.   :D
  10. yup, that is what is on my .270 Remington.  It is Semi auto.
  11. Don't tell me you have been holding out on source  .22 ammo  That stuff has been like unobtainium almost everywhere unless you want to pay about triple price since the Sandy Hook shooting.
  12. Seen it at least twice.  "see-thru mounts." Just to confirm, you mean the scope mounts that allow you to use the iron sights or the scope right? Sorry at least on my deer rifle I prefer them.  Scope is set at 300 yards, but if I get one in like 50 yards I am going iron. I don't like scopes almost flat with the barrel, doesn't look right to me, but then again I have had the see thru on that rifle since I was 10.
  13. If it is in the budget, get an allergist.  I finally broke down and did it a few years ago.  I had the test on my back and they determined a list of triggers. I started taking shots, at first twice a week until I was up to the full dose, then once a week for a year, then every 2 weeks for a year.   Next Month I go to 1 shot every 3 weeks for a year.   A year from now 1 shot every 4 weeks.   After that year, he told me it will be my choice if I want to continue at 1 shot a year or go off the shots and see if I am cured.  We talked about that and as long as insurance helps out with paying for the shots I will probably just keep taking them.   If you want a doctor recommendation just let me know.
  14. I don't think it was a member here but this keeps resurfacing every few months.  I remember someone shared the link and I knew I better keep the picture.

    Coin Toss

Wait, I thought it was ISIS or ISIL.  Did North Korea do something else?
  16.   I didn't want to say it, but I told my wife the same thing.
  17. Not seeing this posted any place   Also brace yourself before you click the link as their mug shots are up.  I don't believe they let her have a makeup artist before the mugshot.      http://www.tmz.com/2014/10/24/sons-of-guns-stars-stephanie-hayden-kris-ford-arrested-cruelty-child/       .
  18. just read this on Hero Gears FB.     Now I am wondering what happened.
  19. I wish I still had the write up that went with that picture on gun broker.  Someone here probably does.
  20. One of our local papers did a lay off a couple years ago.  One of the reporters that got laid off started his own online(only) newspaper.  He sold volunteer subscriptions and as word got out was able to start selling advertisements.  His online paper in my opinion is more popular then the one that laid him off.  They lost a great person when they let him go and created more competition for themselves.
  21. Highly Custom Glocks.
  22. I thought saying I was going to Lynchburg implied that.
  23. Yea, I remember when Joe left or sold it (something). I have been there once since, bit of a drive for me and honesty I can get anything there closer to home except the T-shirts.  But not going to make a special trip for them but since I plan to be in the general area.
  24. Thanks for the heads of on Hero Gear.  I saw a post from them on Facebook not all that long ago.   I really like their Keep TN Zombie Free t-shirts.
  25. Picked up a jar of Ole Smokey Charred (limited production) only available in Gatlinburg.  105 proof.  (aged 90 days in old Jim Beam Barrels) I took them up on the free samples before hand.  I have to say, several places are very friendly with the free samples.  Hit them back to back, you get enough to get a walking around buzz.
