  1. That goes back to The Code and Dealing with it. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/31190-code.html Sorry I just found that old post yesterday and really like it, showed it to myself and told her it would help her understand me a bit more.
  2. When I was in school, reading, writing, and spelling where not my best subjects. Under The Code, I am DEALING WITH IT. IE spell check didn't catch it, and as far as I know there is no IE grammar Check, so you can deal with it too. I am not going to run every post though MS word. However, looking at the Kits, my wife seems to like the idea of me trying my hand at some kits. However before I even attempt that, when I get ready, I will certainly be asking for direct advise on brands and other recommendations. The only Kits I would have any interst in, would be like class guns that one could actually build and use.
  3. The LEO would probalby have enough questions about the gun to forget about the ticket, espeically if the LEO is one that likes to talk about guns.
  4. I don't always drink but when I do, I prefer Guinness.
  5. Catch one of these wild parties going on, Call the police, ask them to drive though the area. Let the police see it in action.
  6. Actually check this out Driver License Compact - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia All states are members except for Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Tennessee (dropped out in 1997) You might be good, pay it and not worry. Lesson learned.
  7. I have had 2 moving Violations, one in KY and one in OH, both many years ago, neither effected my insurance. My insurance even found out about the on in OH, as I was blamed for a non contact accident. I got a failure to yield ticket. I had to tell my insurance agent about it. My rate never changed. The one in KY was speeding, 65 in a 55.
  8. Bare with me on this, based on wife gets a ticket in bama. I want to get a Pepper Box Revolver, maybe a replica. If I get pulled over, it would surely confuse the LEO that wants to unload it. I guess the caps could be removed, but might make him forget about the idea of a ticket. I searched on line, found a few kits I could build me one for fun. I probably won't ever do it. ************ BTW, I didn't just post this because of the other thread, I had been thinking about this since I saw the Pawn Stars Show where he traded for the Pepper Box Revolver and reading about other people not liking to have to unload their guns. I could image the conversation, sir, could you please unload your firearm. Sir, It would be illegal for me to unload it in side city limits as I can only unload it by firing it. May we put it in a safe location?
  9. If you know these people, maybe just have a friendly conversation with them, non confrontational and let them know the excess shooting near your grandmother's home has been upsetting her. Maybe they will be a bit understanding. When I was growing up as a kid, I used to target practice in my backyard and if anyone had every complained my parents would have put a stop to it right away. Now that I am 35 I can't shoot in their back yard, because it will upset their house dogs. I have to go to another place. However, I don't agree with mixing beer with shooting.
  10. Mike remember he said he had to wait to take the picture because of people standing in front of it. Seems they have the sign posted in a place where you could walk up to the door and if people are hanging out in the shade they could be blocking it pretty easy. My big question is why is that sign off to the side, when they have other signs like no smoking very near the door? They should have at least put all the no no signs together in one place. We should not have to have an eastern egg hunt every time we go up to a door.
  11. So a Marine and a soldier are in a public rest room and they both get done taking a leak. The Soldier washes his hands and the Marine just walks out with out washing his hands. Once outside the soldier says to the Marine, "In the Army they teach us to wash our hands after taking a leak." The Marine replies back, "Well in the Marines they teach us not to piss on our hands."
  12. On the surface that building does not look federal. Sure the fact it is in a national park might be a clue, I don't know if there are any buildings in the park that are ok to carry in or not. I don't know the laws on carrying in national parks yet either.
  13. I bet those guys in the Kayaks where just going down the river minding their own business, when one of them said to the others, paddle faster i hear banjo music. All kidding a side, when you have the gun, avoild a fight if at all possible, I agree with your actions. (notice I did not say they did the right thing)
  14. What gives with the 2. Non-alcohol beer ? What are they afraid of here?
  15. That is my complaint, The Law should be a set requirement. The Signs should be required to be a legal size and should be required to be on the door at the very least. Actually why wasn't that sign posted with the No smoking sign by the door, that is one place a person might have looked? Maybe they should even be in Braille. Havne't legally blind people passed the HCP tests? Wouldn't this fall under 'The Americans with Disabilities Act'. Didn't they sue to get the use currency redesigned. I am going to do a bit of reading. As far as Braille, Drive up ATM machines have Braille on them. If they are going to post signs, I think they need to be held to the highest letter of the law.
  16. Saturday Night Special http://www.playlist.com/searchbeta/tracks#saturday%20night%20speical/all/2 Conway Twitty
  17. She wanted her own misguided political views to be right so bad, she had a case of verbal diarrhea.
  18. I remember hearing stories growing up, about a preacher that carried a pistol to Church when my dad was a kid. This was a small church back in the mountains. They joked everyone kept their hands out of the offering plate as it was passed around.
  19. yup, i feel pretty good. I am signed up for the up coming class, I got the time off at work. I did go out yesterday and get some more shooting time in. I did a bit better. Not worried about passing the shooting part of the class, not worried about the class in general. Sitting in class a few hours, taking in allot of information all at once will be a bit much but I am sure I will handle it ok.
  20. He has the
  21. No pill required. Tomorrow will be a day to visit family. Going to to relax, shoot, maybe even cook out after. The practice is the same reason anyone else would, practice and the enjoyment.
