BTW slightly related, not a total hi jack here but Does anyone know how to remove window tint? The window tint on my T-bird is horrible after many years. I need to get it striped off. I tried on one window and I only made things worse. I know i should probaby just use google but I figure someone here has done it.

I am in complete agreement. Much like hand gun laws, you have to know the law when you cross the state lines. Yes, radar detectors are also out in VA. I know my T-bird, and don't get me on the percent the day I brought it was already tinted windows and pretty dark. I ask if they where legal. I was told they where as as dark as TN would allow, but if I went into VA I could get a ticket. Back in 97 when I got my T-bird of the LEO in the city of Lafollette TN showed me how they tested then, similar to what Jamie stated with the dime, except they had to be able to read a drivers license though the tinted window. I checked mine that way with a city policemen and he said I was just barely legal, but was legal. I have never been stopped in that car. Now watch me get a ticket this week for something dumb. Sounds to me that LEO probably only had you for window tint, decided to use that as cause to stop you to see if there was any thing else to get you for, since he didn't see anything else open in your car he just over looked the window tint. Had you had a radar detector, he would have got you for both. They really hate those things in VA.

Hanging a Irish Fest

Yes, this is the 3rd event and I have been at the previous 2. It is every August. It is for August Day which is an Irish Holiday, which isn Ireland is normally August First but we have it when we can I guess. In America, when there is an Irish event, everyone is Irish for a day no papers needed.

Well the background story on the land dispute, they own land on both sides of Dads field. When Dad Brought, he had it surveyed. Dad did not buy from these people but from another person. Dad had know all parties involved for many years, went to their Church and even shopped at their country story. There was an old fence line between the property, when dad brought he believed he was buying up to the line, and the survey confirmed. I remember one morning when I was about 7 or 8 there was about 10 people down in the field and I woke dad and mom up as it was strange. They had jumped over the line on Dads side about 20 yards and put up a new Fence. It took about 5 or more years to get it settled though court and lawyers and more surveys, which it turned out, even the other parties surveyor said the line only should be at the old fence line but the old fence line was about 10 extra feet on dads side. Dad only sued them back to the old fence line though. We have never got along with them ever since, the family was a preacher, his wife daughter and the Church deacon and his family. Recently, the daughter told someone that land dispute is not over after all these years. I was 2 young to have a dog in that fight but if it ever comes up again I will try to take those records and have it pushed to what surveyors said, but since it has been 20 years or so, I guess it is 2 late since the Judge ruled and set the lines. Dad was happy with the ruling since he ended up with what he had believed he brought to start with.

Since we are on handicapped spaces now, I have a good one. My dad walked out of Walmart one day and there was a LEO writing up a ticket for a van that knew parked in a handicapped space. Dad walked over and did a half ass attempt to talk the guy out of it and when the guy though dad was just trying to get out to the ticket the LEO added another ticket for it being double parked. Then dad said I guess you are going to write for for the broken tail light too right? The LEO did and put them under the wipers and dad walked back in the store laughing. It wasn't his van, it was some people that he had a land dispute with that had parked in a handicapped space with out a handicapped space sign. He assisted them into 2 extra tickets. BTW, he won the land dispute as well. We don't go to their Church any more.

BTW, Couple things I do not know the carry rules in Knoxville Parks, I do not know if this event will be posted. I will not be carrying for a couple other reasons. The odds of me being away from a wifi or other internet connection for a very long time with my laptop are so remote I probably won't need it.
