But I do have this. 1 Nylon Pouch with Key Ring, appx. 4” w x 3” h x 0.3” d 1 Breathing Barrier 2 Vinyl Gloves- Latex Free Just in case the need where to be there to preform CPR.

Are you talking about that place kinda under the Holiday Inn near the Sunsphere? If so the Park outside is a city park and therefore a no go, even if not posted. under the pre 1986 laws. Not certain about the Knoxville Convention Center it's self.

I am so anti Red Light Cameras. I could probably write a book if I could write. I am sure my views are different from many on the board here, but the reason behind my view is if you get one of the stupid things you have to prove your case, and still pay court costs even if you win. It generally costs more to fight and win, even if you are right, which to me is just plain wrong. There are cases where the wrong person has got a ticket and have proved it in other states Plus, I am not certain I trust, how accurate inductive loop traffic detectors are for speed in all conditions and traffic. Especially since they can't seem to detect my truck in the early morning hours when there is no traffic to give me a call for a green light. I have directly complained in writing to one of the city engineer's(I forget his name now) and in person to the Mayor and a few council members(not all of them). Next time I will try pissing up a rope.

I have heard my dad talk about a pastor at a small church from when he was growing up, well before HCP, that carried to church. He joked that kept fingers out of the offering plate as it was passed around.

When I first saw it and before I had completely read it, I thought someone had opened an account in my name. I was thinking O . I was thinking first sign of identity theft, even though nothing has showed up in any of my credit monitoring. Really glad that is not the case.

I don't use Facebook but it sounds like a good first step. ^^^^THIS I completely agree with you, I would be hitting the ceiling as well. Family is first

Man this thread delivers. Everyones has some good valid (hollow) points. Sorry had to work that in. It is possible, they where using the part about being allowed to lie to a person to see what they will say, but I really disagree with that. Yup, probably started with the cop-killer bullets idea. Passed down via Tribal Knowledge HP do break up on Vests and hard surfaces faster and can be brought at Walmart. Probably most everyone on this board owns HPs. kb4ns, if I do something dumb enough to find my self in the back of your car, (i hope I never do) I am going to be so dam quite you are going to forget I am back there and will probably end up pulling some one else over for a traffic ticket before you remember I am back there.

I take this as a prefect example of how mistakes can be made by traffic camera systems, they had to make at least 2 mistakes to get that 2 me. One number and the State. The paper did not identify the type of vehicle. It did have the location and time, which was between 4-5 a.m in CO on a Saturday morning. If I had to, I could prove I was at work at 7 a.m eastern in East TN. Had this been a red light or speed camera in another state I am sure It would not have been as simple as a phone call to fix. I won't be certain it is fixed until I get the follow up statement with a zero balance. I feel I should have let it go unpaid until the fees went up and they turned it over to collections so I could play the Kwik card on it but I am trying it to do it the proper way. Besides I really don't want to have to drive out to Denver to fight it. However if I did end up having to go out there to clear it up, I would take them to small claims court and sue them for every penny I could including lost time at work, my travel expenses, everything I could find to put on the bill. However I did my part, I called them the day I got the bill and I was informed over the phone it was their mistake and they would fix it. Time will tell.
-
Thanks for clearing that up. So the limit is just until charges are raised I guess, once raised there is no limit until they get you. I believe I got it. Seems like they made little attempt to get him, if they take him to court now, he would still have the right to face his accuser and his day in court. There is a chance the whole thing might get dropped if they don't have any wittiness' after 17 years or evidence left in storage.

Alamo Steak House, in the Carry Prohibited Locations. I have to comment
vontar replied to vontar's topic in General Chat
Interesting comments Jab, especially about the sides being side arms. I am closer to Knoxville anyways Funny thing is, I am actually going to find my self in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in a couple weeks. From what I am seeing, I might need to plan ahead of time as it seems allot of places down there might be posted. My wife is starting to come around to my line of thinking I am not going to spend money at a business that posts if I can avoid it. I will not be leaving a gun un protected in the car either. -
OK, I come home from work and find a License Plate Toll Bill in the mail. What the hell. I open it to find a letter addressed to me, very official looking telling me where and when and how much. It also tells me how much it will be if I don't pay by Oct 31st. It is from Express toll.com in Denver, Co. I have never been to Co. First thought was identity theft, I look it over and there is a Tag number. I compared it to my truck and it is 1 digit off. I was ready throw some pizza boxes or something. I called the number expecting a hassle and believe it or not the person on the other end of the phone was fairly understanding and claimed to have taken care of it. She said she found it was not a TN tag but a Kansas tag. So that indicates to me 2 mistakes the camera/reader had, 1 digit and State. Kinda proves at least some fault in camera ID of tags. I did insist on them mailing me a statement showing zero balance after she said she cleared it off my statement. Seems they didn't have an exact match and went with the closest number they could and sent me the bill. Had that been a red light camera ticket I would have to fight it in court. I have red online cases where that has happened.

Then we would need a second thread TGO little people for you. -
How can the owner of a place called Alamo Steak House post. Seriously. You would think of all freaking places that would open. If owned a Steak House with that Name I think I would run specials for those that open carry. (Not on alcohol). I would find something though. I have never been to the Alamo Steak house but I get the feeling it is probably a Texas Theme? If it is a Texas theme, maybe country western and in some part themed on The Alamo in Texas, by posting it, to me they are using the name in vain. Dishonoring everyone that fought and died defending the Alamo.

The only Gun Control I believe in, is using both hands for a sure aim. However if needed, I do practice with ` handed as well, actually both left and right. I might not pick the wings off a fly but I will hit a mans size blob.

That reminds me of a guy I grew up with. I was always a bit bigger but he had the right or wrong attitude. He climb a tree to fight someone at times. Almost always on edge for a fight. One one hand you would thing he would be great in the armed services but knowing him, he was they type that would not be able to control himself long enough to follow orders long enough to stay out of trouble. I never had a fight with him and I will be honest I never wanted to. I was not big like I am now. I was small until I finished high school. He was a bit smaller but mean as a copperhead. I saw his handy work a few times a well. I have not seen him in years, but my family gives me updates on him every so often. He has had some run ins with LEO's for some minor drug offenses. I know it is in my best interest to not get mixed up with him.

Seems statue of limitations should kick in, but I am not a lawyer. Holy crap.

I have known a couple pits, not many. I have known a couple that where nothing but big babies. However, pits have a Rep, in general there is a reason for the stereotype. Sure you can't brand them all, but I will watch out around them., especially if I don't know them. A few years back, again before I had a gun in my house here in Oak Ridge I drove home and I started to get out of my truck and there where 2 pits in my yard on the block wall above my drive/parking spot. The wall is about 4 feet high. I stayed in my drive, it was getting dusty dark. They were not just in my hard, they were on the wall, angry barking at me, unprovoked. I had not seen them until they where right there. I remember this event clear. My wife, opened the front door and started to come out not seeing them. I yelled at her to go back inside and close the door. I called her from my cell, told her what was going on. Next thought was how I was going to get from A to B. I called Animal control for Anderson Co. I found out Oak Ridge City animal control closed and the county would not come into the City. I told them over the phone if they attacked me I might have to kill them they pretty much told me to protect myself. I got a better look at them and noticed they belonged to a house a few doors away. I did not know the people that live there, still don't. I called another neighbor and he did. He told me he would call the person that owned them. The dogs wondered off I grabbed a tire iron as a weapon and found my way to the door. Had they came back, I would have tried to kill them had I needed to. I got a call back from my neighbor a bit later that the dogs had been put up by the other person. Seems they had escaped. I still do not know that person and last year they built a bigger, better fence. I have not seen them dogs out but I know they still have at least 2. It is the closest neighbor I don't know.

Sideways. Video, not for work

Here is Callie I adopted her from the Oak Ridge shelter. I was looking for a dog and to get to where they kept the dogs you had to walk though the cat area. I had been going about once a week looking for just the right house dog. Growing up, I have had just about everything, dogs, cats, goats, one pony, birds, fish and some other pets. But I was looking for a house dog. We had recently brought a house in Oak Ridge and at the time did not have a gun. I was then more worried about someone breaking in while at work. I wanted a barking dog, as an interactive alarm system. Well, as things played out, I could not just walk though the cat area with out giving them some attention, and out of all of them, this cat picked me. Even my wife at times gets jealous even though I sometimes think Callie likes her better.

Keep us posted when the times comes near.

we will have to wait until more comes out. I am interested in a few more details myself. Really want to know why they didn't want it put out. One end of the state we have people beging for fire help, other end let it burn.

Ok, you got me. Daniel and here I am enjoying a few Guinness on my Birthday. I was hanging out at the Irish Times at Turkey Creek in Knoxville. -
Holy Hot . What kind of person picks on a little kid, especially one with a terminal disease. Isn't that about as low as it can get? Hell, even in grade school I would not hit kids in a lower class then me, I knew I was bigger and stronger and I didn't want to hurt them. Even the fights us guys got into in high school were not all that serious, fight one day and hangin out next week. The Husband was probably trying to turn a blind eye to it, I say that knowing it is all but impossible to not know what is going on in your own (castle) home. It is possible he was unaware though, but if he does anything to adjust her attitude, it might come back to bit him in the ass legally, don't you love our system. I don't think we live in one of those other states where a man is allowed to beat his wife on the court house steps. I think TN used to have that law but it is not listed on dumb laws any more. Like Dumb Laws in Virginia. Crazy Virginia Laws. We have weird laws, strange laws, and just plain crazy laws!

I need to get back out there. I need to break in a P22 for my wife.
