  1. Well I got a dam good laugh. I worked so hard for that.
  2. Notice I said I was only not prepared and only armed with my Droid X. I had one thing I had to visit the mall for then I we left.
  3. I am not certain but if they do, I am sure they where well guarded. Leaving almost saw mall security run over someone in the parking garage by driving 2 fast.
  4. I found myself in West Town Mall tonight and ambushed by Zombies. I was unprepared. My only weapon was my droid X, which I took a video for Youtube. My first upload so don't be to hard on me. The start is a bit off as I did not know they where going to start behind us but after that it turned out good I think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPhyJ9j2Y5s
  5. I have all my windows and doors boarded up, minus one. so i can make certain they come at me in one direction.
  6. This morning there is a slight tenderness but no more then I would expect where it got me. Barely any redness at only the site of where the nail got me. Nothing spreading out from it. This morning, I called my doctors off. I talked to a nurse described what I stepped on and the type of damage and how it does not appear to have any infection but ask if I might need a tetanus shot. She checked my records, it has been almost 2 years since I got a tetanus shot and she did not believe I would need another so soon even with this but she was going to check with the doctor anyways. She checked with the doctor and called me back a few hours later. The doctor advised as long as it does not start to get infected, discolored, swelling up or any other bad signs I should have nothing to be concerned about and confirmed no need for another tetanus shot.
  7. You got me. Dam it.
  8. I swear I need to be the one running. I guess it is 2 late for me to put up signs. You know where my votes would be. I would be aiming to have us a Gold star state for carry. 18 and up as long as a person has no felony convictions or mental health problems. So to paraphrase South Park, no matter who wins we are either going to have a Turd Sandwich or Giant Douche?
  9. women always ask the wrong questions and the wrong time.
  10. Here would be a good list to start with. Tennessee Gun Firing Ranges Archery Range Rifle Pistol Shooting
  11. I know Jackrocks. I remember when the mines went on strike when I was about 14-16 yrs old. Best I remember thoses Jackrocks where home made, from 2 Bent nails with the ends cut off and sharpened on the blunt end then wielded together. No matter how they where tossed, 1 end were was always pointed up. I remember them doing all kinds of dirty tricks to hide them, both sides of the line. those crossing the picket line(I won't use the name they were called) and the miners. My family was not on either side, but one of my close friends family was on the miners side.
  12. Hmm, I need to be enlighten, 'what is can of "Freeze" '? a type of pepper spray? I think before I consented to a search I would just ask for a refund.
  13. Dad kinda thought someone might have tossed them out to give 4 wheelers flats as they where all in the path that 4 wheelers would drive on. I had even drove on that twice before we walked it. Found none in the tires. We kinda wondered if they might have been some funny roofing nails but they seem long. Dad thought just maybe they were for roof felt paper, maybe longer to go though a couple layers how sometimes people don't always rip off all the old like they should. They place we where at has been know for people to dump trash. It could have been anything. Someone could have did it on purpose, it could have been some trash. I remember a few years back seeing where someone had dumped everything that comes off a roof from a roofing job probably not 20 feet from where I stepped on that. But these where not very rusted so they had to be newer.
  14. After 20 rounds, there wasn't a target left.
  15. The Techie inside me thinks wow, allot of hard work. The normal guy inside me is just lost in awwwwweeeeee.
  16. Well today dad and I went target shooting, getting ready for deer season. I rode the 4 wheeler and dad drove up in his truck with the guns. It goes with out saying, both guns used today were cleaned and inspected before we went. We took my .22 rifle, which I mainly practice with, since it is cheap to shoot, and my .270 semi auto Remington. It has probably been 15 years since either had been fired. Also, I just put the scope back on the .22 this morning, as dad had used it on another gun for a few years. So we started out with the .22, setup a target about 50 yards. Fired a few, adjusted the scope, fired a few and adjusted. walking back and forth checking and so on. Well Walking back and forth about 8 or 9 times I stepped on this. The nail is just under 2 inches long. I was wearing my hunting boots. The thick rubber sole gave it enough resistance to prevent it from going all the way in and thankfully, it didn't get me to bad but enough. I am not certain how deep it went but I don't believe it went all that deep, I have virtually no pain it, and after it finished blooding on it's own it is almost impossible to tell where it got me. If I did not know where it got me, a person would be hard to find the mark. Not enough mark to even consider posting a picture. I honestly think it might have just barely broken the skin as when I felt it I did not finish putting weight down and stopped in my tracks and had dad pull it out. Family has suggested I should go tomorrow and see if I should get a tetanus shot. I wonder if that is just an over reaction. I had a tetanus shot I know in the last 2 years when I started seeing my new doctor because he ask me when I had my last one and I told him I honestly did not know so he gave me one. I am not asking for medical advice just kinda talking it out as it helps me think. I will probably sleep on this and make a decision by morning. I will probably check with my doctor anyways, won't hurt. We inspected the area and found about 4 more of them afterward. It took me 35 years to step on a nail, hopefully I won't do it again. BTW, after we finished sighting in my .22. Fired off the .270 a few times and I was low every shot. Dad said it was me. He shot it and was low to. Then I reminded him of our last hunting trip when I missed a few times and I told him it it needed to be checked. We adjusted it to where I feel better about it now as well. But I need more practice and breathing control.
  17. My Uncle aways says they would accept donations for gays as well. I knew a pastor that linked Santa and the Devil together via the letters in the spelling of Satan. They have the same letters just arranged differently.
  18. I realized I haven't shoot a big range of guns. I can probably count every gun I have actually fired. For now, i am going to say my 270 Semi Auto by Remington. I am actually planning to take it out for some practice today before Deer season next month. Dad brought it for me when I was 10.
  19. Drink what you like. I don't drink often, I save up for the times I do then I drink a bit more expensive stuff cause I like it better.
  20. Ok, I did have a laugh.
  21. I keep the Oak Ridge PD and FD non-emergency numbers in my phone. One day my wife and I was just out driving around Oak ridge (separate cars this time, had been GEO Caching) but together and it was still good day light. We where close together. Right near where we where going I spoted a guy in the bushes a a window of a building. I believe this was a Saturday or Sunday afternoon when the place was closed. He saw us and took off running. I got called my wife and told her DO NOT STOP keep driving since it was only about a half block from where we were going. Then I called Oak Ridge PD and reported what and where. I told them it looked very strange and thought they should have someone check it out. I gave them my contact information as well. For all I know it was legit but I did not believe it was. They guy saw our cars and took off running like a bat out of hell. Come to think about it, it was about this time last year I believe cause I had just brought her the GPS and we had started GEO Caching. We really haven't been back GEO caching since either as I found GEO caching to much like snooping around and did not like that part of it. I did not slop either by the way.
  22. I bet OP becomes a bit more OCD on checking his door locks now.
  23. One more on our side. I don't feel like we lost a sheep but we gained another sheep dog.
  24. Yea, it has discussed. Not a Lawyer or spokes person of one, but unless posted in general you have permission. However, keep in might some places cities don't have to post like some parks which is just wrong. I think any and all off limit places should be posted or they should not be allowed to prosecuted. I also think the signs should be of a certain size and should be on the door. We should not have to play hide and seek to find them. But that is a rant for another time. However from what I read, seems they where not carrying but may have been trying to be clear on the rules of the location for future. Perhaps they are new HCP people and being extra cautious as they don't want to accidentally break rules, that and since the place seems to do RANDOM searches which to me is WRONG under illegal search and seizure, 4th Amendment, I don't think I am stretching it to far since they are employed by the city government.
  25. Congrats, it is like learning to walk again. Lately I have been pocket carrying as I have not found the right setup yet. Every time we get in the car/truck my wife puts her had on my leg. I ask her if she is checking to see if I am carrying. She says no, I always do that, but funny she just started. Yup, it gets easier and better. Now If you see me in Wal Mart I am carrying something. I am still some what new myself Just last week I did an Open Carry to Y12 FCU, no problems, no issues.
