  1. Not for me, point me to the kiddy slopes please.
  2. I believe I can drive in snow as good as the next fellow, even equal cars/trucks to drive. Since I have been driving in East TN, there for the better part of 20 years, there has not been one snow that I have not driven in that we have had, including the blizzard of 93 everyone still talks about and the follow up snow right after in Jan 94 that I believe was bigger as LMU was closed for a week, right after everyone got back on Sunday, it snowed Monday Morning and I had the only 4x4 there. I had a great week.

    Snow Report

We had about 3-4 inches of snow in Oak Ridge I got up, drove to hardees, got breakfast. Passed a plow truck, (he was spreading salt on the road and I didn't want to get that crap on my 20 year old truck), then drove to work. Couple hours later went back got my wife, drove her to work. Then at lunch time I went out and got Pizza for my wife and took pizza back for the few people that actually showed up where I work. I stayed and got some Overtime due to call offs, then I picked up my wife and we came home.
  5. i missed that. twice recently that name has crossed this board.
  6. now that is rant and a half. Even reported it to the Illuminati. If the Illuminati couldn't help, no one can. I have a feeling this thread is going to be worth watching.

    SNOW!!!

Jamie that is how the roads back in the area of Claiborne County/border of Campbell I grew up could be described. In fact there is a joke about to bridges near where highway 90 intersects 25, (the straightest section of road for miles) about the road commissioner hung himself there, because he could not figure out a way to put a curve in the road. This is at Morely tn. Then about 20 years ago, another Bridge a straight one was replaced with a curved bridge that was curved in the wrong direction so it added 2 more turns to the road. This is in an area known by the locals as Anthras, and can be found between White Oak and Eagan on Highway 90, only as a side road on the map.

    SNOW!!!

Funny when I was growing up here in East TN in the 80's they hardly every closed school. Granted we didn't get the kind of snow they get up north but now a lite dusting of snow or almost a heavy frost and they will call it off. When I was growing up, with snow falling the night before they would not call it off on the radio until the next morning which meant I always had to get up and be getting ready and normally I would be ready before they would call it off. If I could go back to those radio reports, and compare them to reports now days, you would think they built about 100 schools in my listening area, when in fact it is just every school in the area actually calling off when they never used to. I think it is called, the wussification of America.
  11. I like, perhaps since I don't use facebook.

    Feedback Please!

I have always heard that if I didn't order something I was not required to pay for it or send it back as it was their fault for sending it. That being said, I randomly got some promo material from North American Hunting Club asking me to sign up. I did not and I kept what they sent me.
  13. I actually Found it, Weapon Masters.
  14. Well of course we always start with them, we have to get our vegetables some place. However some of those hippies might have side effects.
  15. I just noticed someone posted it on the posted locations, which prompted my thread. I thought it would be fun to see response. There is a place in Turkey Creek I visit often, I did so before getting HCP and I would continue to do so for the same reason. However I would not leave in the car either. Normally when I go to this place I do go to drink and my wife drives home. However, I have slowed down going since getting my HCP or let her drink and I carried and drove.
  16. Wow, just wow. I seriously have nothing to add. Could maybe wash it some of it down with some fresh goat milk. Pretty much haven't left East TN enough, just eat most of the local standard wild game and then not all of it.
  17. A couple weeks ago, when I was on one of my Deer hunting trips, I was watching TV at my Dads and a show came on, one of the following channels, Discovery, SCI, Military or History. If you have Direct TV, it would have been 269,271, 278, 284, 287. Anyways, it was about this crazy inventory (not stuck with Hackett, it was after that, I believe after Christmas). Anyways, these 2 guys were talking about improving dueling pistols. One was going to use a standard dueling pistol, the other was going to build one.. What he built had an electric ignition switch for his left hand, instead of a trigger and several other improvements. He even visited a man in Nashville that builds replicate pistols for information. At first I thought the show was going to be pretty dumb, however by the end I enjoyed it and I could like to find the name of it in case they air it or others like it again. Almost all my searches lead me to Metal Storm, which funny enough the show even visited them as well. I have known about Metal Storm for years and they have some far out weapons.
  18. I used to do that, however I rarely get anything that has a posted paid envelope now.
  19. Ok, you got me there. If the Pet has the t-virus then by all means shoot it and don't eat it.
  20. Exactly, Don't know when I got my first renewal, but I signed up in June and I know I was getting them in Oct.
  21. That is pretty much what I expect with this thread.
  22. Good item to have. Like they say Build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door, should be the first hint it belongs in any and all BOB's.
  23. Spam, I keep telling my wife to not pack spam for the apocalypse. My Dad will eat spam any way you can fix it, from straight from the can to fried. I never could get past the smell. (truth be told, during the apocalypse, I will eat spam begrudgingly, It might be better if I can cover it in clover)
  24. analog_kidd, I have never sent anything back either, never signed up for everything extra either. I guess I need to give them a call. There is not a week that goes by that I dont' get something I believe.
  25. BTW, i voted no as well.
