  1. thanks for the advise. I had not considered that. I certainly don't want one that is going to wear out after just a few hundred rounds. Can you recommend a place that sell some on line that I can start looking?
  2. Hey I have never seen a post where the OP and the 3rd post was totally blank. I had to check this out. I am with the rest of you, I too am confused actually I have no one on my list.
  3. I read about those last night as well. I found that interesting. At this moment, I have 0 black powered guns. Dad has a Muzzle-loading rifle I could alway borrow for deer hunting if I wanted but I always just waited for rifle season. I want to have a black power pistol or 2 to take to the range. Yes I know they don't shoot as well as a modern firearm, but that is part of the history of it.
  4. Dixie has one I am looking at, and the others are from Cabelas. Right now, Cabelas has some on sale too. Pietta 1851 Confederate Navy .44 Caliber Revolver for 149.00 I may order it. Just using it as an example but if I where to order it, I would probably go ahead and buy the spare parts kit now and put it away just in case I need it in the future.
  5. I am a bit tired so I am probably going to make some mistakes in this post. I know I have read something like what I am asking before, around the time I joined but I have been unable to find it. One of the next things I plan to buy is going to be a black power pistol. Mainly just to take to the range. However, looking over some information, starting with what I found at Dixie Firearm. I found additional reading at Antique gun - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia from Gun Control Act of 1968 However, I am trying to figure out if when buying one that is classified as Antique gun one has to pay for an TIC? I know I have the pay the FFL for the transfer if I order from Dixie. However I noticed it looks like I can order from Cabelas and actually have it shipped directly to my house. So it certainly looks like background checks are not required. (no I have no problem with a background check) If that is true, I think it would be neat when I purchase my blackpower pistol. I bet there are people here that have the short, simple answer. I am going to bed. This is nothing that is going to keep me up at night. Just a strange thought as I was wondering
  6. high capacity magazines.
  7. I haven't seen anyone in congress making a stink about them yet.
  8. I guess he just cracked under the pressure.
  9. Yea, I think we should just meet up at mr.ak47. Why don't you stay put and wait for us. I really don't have my stuff together that good, yet. I am ready for a small local out break but I am not ready for the major event.
  10. I found this for my droid X, I do not know about the Iphone someone else will need to confirm. I was just looking in books and reference and came across Survival Guide which is really an app for U.S. Military Survival Manual FM 21-76. The app is really well put together, an easy read, not a PDF. It is broke down into the difference sections and it is Free.
  11. I got my vote in 58/42. Dam,
  12. I have carried in 3 different package stores with no problems, also my gun was well behaved.
  13. OK, I am having trouble finding a good picture. Seems everyone takes pictures of them as they pass. How about a Hi rail dump truck. Now before you think I have lost my marbles. Think of it this way. One, they are built tough and like the snow plow, it can be armed easy if additional is needed. Still has a large bed to haul supplies. It runs on the same fuel. It will give you more driving options as it opens up railroads to you as well as normal roads. But wait, what about trains that are going to be stopped on the rails? Just get off the rails and drive around them and get back on the rails on the other side. I know not as easy as that but there are options. May not be prefect solution, but nothing is going to be prefect. The one that waits for prefect, is going to be zombie food.
  14. Ok, You want me to top the Snow Plow. Give me a few minutes. BTW, I guess I grossed everyone out with the fuel Idea but I am sticking to it.
  15. I am going to quote Jamie, as he and others have already said it. I can't say it any better. Here's hoping she gets better.
  16. LOL, I am going to have to give that to my wife.
  17. That doesn't belong there.
  18. Yea, Fuel will be a problem with that. You will be a couple hours and you will make so much nosie you will have a zombie army showing up about the time you are out of fuel and bullets. Go up and look at my Truck, then in another threat look at my fuel idea. I think I have the bases covered.
  19. I keep a copy of my Insurance and Reg. in my sun visor. If/when stopped. When the officer asks for my papers. With my hands still on the wheel, I let him/her know my insurance and registration are in my sun visor. Sir/mama my license/HCP is my wallet in my back pocket I will need to reach for it. I wait until given permission before acting. Last time I was stopped was before I had my HCP and I was not carrying either. He did ask me if I had a gun and I correctly answered no.
  20. Any chance I can come work for your company? O well, it must be nice, I am happy for you. Just having a conversation at my work place might get on a trip to HR. I was almost sent to HR talking about target practice in the break room when my boss walked in. A day later she ask me about it, I told her it had to do with my pending hunting trip. She admitted she used to shoot and how good she was. I told her she could probably out shoot me, trying to make her more comfortable, however it did not seem to have that effect. AMEN, I wanted that, just like they have it in KY, more so then the carry in Bars. The carry in bars seems to have made it easier for places to post and more places are posting. I think the carry is bars is back firing. It educated allot of people on how to post.
  21. Look at the other buying options. aphu9876 Add to Cart $4,999.95 + $3.99 shipping Someone is hoping for some misclicks
  22. They only float if they bloat. If you can't get a headshot on one, a body shot will cause it to sink. However it then runs the chance of becoming someone else's problem down river.
  23. I read this, however there is no way I could swing it, as the due date to request time off for Feb has already passed at work. (I work weekends). I will watch for a future camping trip, sure sounds like allot of fun.
  24. Man, I have been wanting to do something like that, I have a co worker that got certified last summer. I wish the class wasn't so far away. I took my first CPR/first aid/ AED class last summer and have been looking to do more every since.
  25. Did I see Will Smith? wait, not coming out on the 4th of July. Looks pretty good, yea I will watch it
