  1. It could have been a slip of the tongue, other then that a president should be clear father vs grandfather. I am sure that will come back turning the next election so we might get an answer.
  2. This is one time, the BG should have lived with all those shots. I could image him going to prison for 50 years and all the other inmates. So you lost your junk to a pink .38
  3. If you remember I believe I suggested stuff like that along time ago. You said something about I just had not read enough of your post or had not crossed you wrong yet.
  4. never thougth about Tractor supply, we have one of those here in Oak Ridge. I can check them out tonight.
  5. I have some ideas on what I need and the size I can use. I need a safe Max 28 inch wide, about 20 inch deep. Other then Gander Mnt. Where else should I at least shop around. If you have the current Gander Mnt. Ad they have one on Sale I have been looking at for 599. I know a few weeks ago I missed it at 549. So I might get lucky in a few weeks. Last week I was in the store and it was 700. So I know they keep changing the price. I know I want a Fire Rated safe and this one is 30 minutes fire rated. Were I live I know the Fire Department is normally available with in 5 minutes. I am not sold on this safe or Gander Mnt., but I have 300 dollars in gift cards I need to spend there so they have that going for them. The size of the closet I am going to put it in is another factor. However I know very little about safes so I am willing to listen to what others might have to say. My main reason for wanting a safe is mainly theft prevention as I know our fire department is on site very fast. However since I am getting one I feel I should get it Fire Rated, at least some. Current Sales - Gander Mountain I believe they told me this one will hold up to 22 long guns, more then I have but always buy bigger then you need right.
  6. I am going to go out on a limb here It comes down to us needing to know the Law about carrying and we now need to know the rules about what to expect at the DMV to make sure they follow proper procedures and if not question it. We have heard stories about some DMV's not understanding that is it legal to have dup HCP because the don't understand a Dup HCP is legal because it is not legal to have a dup DL.
  7. Well maybe the no minors signs and no guns sign is to just make is safer for the gangs. So the police don't have to patrol it any more.
  8. I agree 100 percent with Fallguy and also that part of the law should have been covered in Detail in the HCP class. DO NOT carry until you get the card back in the mail. A few pages back I believe someone copied the exact law. I believe since I was a member on this board someone started carrying a few days early and got checked by a LEO and ended up having to go to Court. Do not know how that turned out. Fact, yes, it matches your DL Number. Fact the law states you must carry it when you go armed. Otherwise, one must separate the firearm and ammo, example trunk and passenger area of the car. We have seen other examples where a person got out and noticed they forgot their wallet at home and to be legal they separated their firearm and ammo asap.
  9. Dam Right, that is My Cake and I want it back.
  10. LMFA off. I bet those that did not sell their guns to them were confused and thought it was some kind of undercover sting and were move afraid they would end up in trouble if they did. I love that idea.
  11. Be on time, be a little early. One thing I always thought when I went in for an interview. I always considered an interview a 2 way street of information. I was never afraid to ask a few questions and I believe that shows them your interest. Just try to plan your questions out well, better then I type. You don't want you good impression to come out like this. My last job I interviewed with, 7 years ago, I told the person where I currently worked they had told us we would be laid off in the next 3 months and told us to find other work or get laid off. I said I would rather be working, that I lived 5 minutes from this job and I was looking for a long term career and willing to put in the time and hours it took. Needless to say I did get hired on.
  12. Sounds like those that the DMV took their Permit for address change and name change got screwed and may need to call Nashville.
  13. Now that is an idea. I don't like paying for things I am not welcome to use.
  14. No one told kwik that. Seriously, I am glad the cards are starting to fall into place for OP. After all is said and done, OP Is going to have to keep all this paper work, file it in a firebox and protect it for years to make sure these charges never come back to bite him in the ass. Would hate to have another Clerical error come up in 20 years on him. Back in 2011 you had a misdemeanor going armed charge in TN. Need to make sure the state clears the record of this completely.
  15. KUDOs to Lisa again. Glad it is all in the right direction for you.
  16. OP, in case you want to see the law on inheriting guns. OS found it for me a while back. OS is a sharp one around here. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/2nd-amendment-issues/42520-hypothetical-question-about-family-gun-transfers-state-lines-event.html
  17. I know Hollywood had to use a German Luger automatic pistol for the movie because it could shoot blanks and the action would work correctly but that is not what he was using during the battle. I saw that recently on TV. They zoomed in on it and it was clear it was a German Luger in the movie, however they made it clear he was not using a German Luger during the battle although they where prized items to capture on the battle field. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20060831133818AA8sOwr more research required however http://www.sightm1911.com/1911%20Myth.htm#Sgt.%20Alvin%20York
  18. I know the TN gun would have to be the 357 glock or what ever the gun was that was misnamed in the original HCP video.
  19. after college, I worked in frozen foods, night time sanitation. It was good hard honest work. I did it better then 2 years until I was able to get a better job. I always said if I had to, I could go back to that type of work but I hope I don't have to.
  20. I am going to make this optional downloads. This is my fat ass so you have been warned. I like my Taurus Judge 3 inch barrel with 3 inch chamber, but it is mostly my home defense, truck and fun at the range gun. I do not normally carry this. However I want the option. At least when I am I going to the range and I might stop along the way. The first is just letting my shirt hide it. The second I just pull my shirt up to show it is there. http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac244/vontar/judge1.jpg http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac244/vontar/Judge2.jpg The day I got this holster and was trying it out. I went out for a drive with it and stopped in a gun store to pic up some ammo. Stood there talking to the guy and a LEO for about 20 minutes. As I was about to leave I told the guy that I brought the Judge from BTW, I found a way to carry my judge he he said yea? I kind let on to him and then he noticed it printing. It does print but you almost have to be looking for it to notice it.
  21. Now I want to steal that and quote you.
  22. I thought about that, but that is kinda like wasting beer and I believe that is the point you are making. Don't worry I am sure you and I are on the same page. How about this, Fire One, then Rack one, in case there are 2 or more bad guys. that way the 2nd BG got a warning shot and a Rack warning, plus may have heard an empty hit the floor if he was not to busy dropping a load in his pants. Don't plan that your home invasion defense is going to be centered around one BG coming in that will be scared off easy. It might be 2 or 3 pros.
  23. Racking a shell into the chamber is a Hollywood thing. Don't do what you have seen on TV, it most likely will get you kilt. Remember those disclaimers, don't do this at home. BTW, special disclaimer, my advise may not be sound advise. Please consult an expert.
  24. We have one in , but I have not be in it in years.
  25. My warning shot is hopefully the thud (impact) at BG center mass.
