You need a permit from the state of TN to kill a snake now. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/tennessee-politics-legislation/29705-snake-killing-law.html since it is unlawful to kill one with out a permit, they must issue a permit to some people right? I am still waiting on my permit.

Anyone know if smokies stadium is posted? Just a guess I bet it is. Anyways a couple of guys from work have invited me to tag along tonight. I figure it probably is and I would just have to leave it in the car but if anyone knows for sure let me know. It is a bit of a drive over. If it is posted, the parking lot wouldn't be posted right? Currently at work, I tried searching in other forum and did not find anything. I will check bad before I go.

I won't wish that on anyone, but that is what they call a self correcting mistake. As for someone walking out on an active range, that is just beyond DUMB. However, I don't want to be at a range as described. Hell, I am not prefect but Dam I take care with firearms.

I got the front one to move a bit, but did not get it lose enough to come free either. I did have the cleaning rod removed before you ask. It will be Monday before I have a chance to work with it again.
-
Neat. I wonder if i will find anything in mine. I still have been unable to get my bands off mine yet. Prehaps I am being to gentle with it. Man it is together tight. Why don't you just put in a page from Commercial Appeal? It should fit about prefect.

Rampaging groom jailed for 'flogging' bride on wedding day
vontar replied to MikePapa1's topic in General Chat
Here's to a speedy divorce. I don't know the laws over there but maybe she will get half over everything she should get something for that crap. However, someone there should have been able to stop it before it go that far out of control but what do I know, I wasn't there. -
You know, I am surprised their are allot of classes like that. Allot of people have to wait for classes to fill up to a min. level.
-
Yea, it does not seem right at all for the instructor to bring in an insurance sales man to use the class to add more kick backs. I would have been pissed, I would have said, I go to Walgreen's for meds, I go to a car lot for a car, I go a gun store for guns and I go to an insurance place when I need insurance. I never buy anything from a high pressure sales man and I may have considered asking for my money back from the instructor if they didn't get the class moving. Anyone that knocks on my door trying to sell anything I send them away, when I go to Gatlinburg tn and street vendor won't leave me a alone, I threaten to report them. They are the reason I hate Gatlinburg tn. I hope no one brought the insurance.

Is it legal to carry military-style pistols?
vontar replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Well, try this, what if he sold it to the shop, got a receipt for selling it, turned around and brought it back. he would have a new receipt for the purchase. That is what I would have considered doing. It would have cost me the TICS and a most mark up that I would have negotiated with the shop. It should have met the settlement in my opinion. Yes your honor I did sell it, then 7 days later it was for sale and I brought it after pasting background checks. OK, 7 days would not probably be long enough, should probably best let the charges be dismissed then buy it back. But I think I would have ask my lawyer if I could make a deal with a gun shop to sell them my gun and later buy it back after charges are dismissed. If the DA plays games others should be able to play too. -

I know I am late to the game but that just does not seem legal or fair since it is a pistol and he was legal to have a pistol despite the company he was with. -
Mason Hit the nail on the head. I have been shopping myself for a good safe. I have me 2 picked out. Either case I have to support my floor better to hold it. I have a crawl space and depending on the safe I buy, 440 pounds or 710 pounds I want to support the floor under were I am going to put it. You may need to consider something like this. Watch prices, they go up and down like roller coasters, about 200 bucks on most models, at least at gander mnt. Since I have 300 dollars in credit at gander mnt I will most likely be buying there. Don't waste your money on a safe that is not fire rated. My first thought was anti theft because we have a great fire department, however don't bank on that. There is so little price different on those non fire rated safes to a fire safe, get it. Plus the locking is many times better as well. Those cheaper ones, when you check them out in the store, you feel that if you had enough time you could break into them, the doors did not feel very strong nor did I like the locks. One thing that you may over look, moisture. You need a way to dry out the air. Some safes have a way to run in electric for small safe dehumidifiers. However while I was there, a customer, not a saleman, told me there is rechargeable dehumidifier you can buy for about 30 to 40 bucks you just put in the safe and every few months you bring it out, bake it in your oven to dry it, let it cool down then put it back in the safe. If you don't keep the moisture out by some method, I understand your guns will draw moisture and well we know that is not good.

Hmm, I knew the ammo was cheap, someone mind letting me in on where to find the ammo for .20/round? I still have to get mine cleaned up and ready for the range but at that price I will be very happy. Yes I am aware of corrosive primers and the need to clean very well after use. -
Just Civilian Court, but I believe they could throw the book a bit harder at him, could add 100 counts of fraud, 100 counts of forgery for the fake ID's he handed out. Could probably add a few more as well

Cool deal.

I had to look it up, but I remembered what a college professor said Most people start with the answer they want and work backwards to get the question in statistics. He told us about when he worked for a pharmaceutical company and he would need help with a study he would go to a person and the person would ask so what do you need to prove? He said with the right data you could link birth rates to in India to the number of cheeseburgers sold in Canada.

I could add more to the store. We saw the first one, turned around to go back just in case we would see it again, saw it again twice. Then didn't see it again then spotted the smaller one. I was driving so I could not use my camera. The bigger one was on my side 2 of the passes and I was very close and it was leaving the scene but I got a good enough look to know with out a doubt it was bigger then this one. Yup, see that fence in the background. that is the DOE fence for Y12 area. after a few minutes it cross in. I was unarmed as we had just came from Clark Park, no firearms, DOE property and it is properly posted with a gun buster. It is not a city park so it does not have to contain the city posting, just a gun buster.

We are trying over here in North Cacalaci.
vontar replied to Will Carry's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I really want TN to get something like KY has a good venison of it. Honestly I would have preferred we went for it before the restaurant carry myself. Normally when I go in a bar, I drink so I leave my gun at home. I have only carried in a bar a couple time when it was my wifes night to drink. I admin, it was different to be armed in a bar. Only been armed in 2 pubs, and 4 liquor stores. That being said, I have reduced my drinking by probably 3/4 since I got my permit. -
Open carry: Permit not required????
vontar replied to Handsome Rob's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
If you are not Married, you might just have to marry a southern girl then. I think that might work. However keep in mind I am not a lawyer. He needs a political asylum. As Normal, OS, seems to be on Top of things. -
Someone asked why I had a gun...
vontar replied to PirateQui's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Hmm, I thought I added to this thread. Anyways, on a thread like this. this thread has most of the answers. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/47351-why-carry-gun.html -
Wife and I saw a pair of Coyotes this evening in Oak Ridge. She only had a chance to get a picture of the second one. The first one was about twice the size of this one. I got a good look at both of them. Edited We saw 4 deer in the same area the day before. 2 large doe and what appeared to be 2 last year's doe's. I could see their heads clearly, no more then 30-40 feet away.
