Commercial Appeal has updated its directory

That wild card works great. Tips. You can put your last name and the wild card for the first name and pull everyone with your last name. -
Excellent! Na Go Ya Japanese Restaurant, Chattanooga
vontar replied to Sheepdog's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
If someone could PROVE a person or GROUP is MAILING that in a letter, would not that be considered MAIL FRAUD? I am not a lawyer but I wanted to be at one point in my life. -
There is a parking allot that TVA has setup to allow people to park at to walk to a fishing place. People cross TVA property about 100 yards, get on railroad tracks walk a short distance to fish near the plant. I stopped going there for 2 reasons after I got my HCP. One I wanted to Carry and second the fishing sucked anyways. I always went before unarmed and never thought about it much, never had any trouble either. Here is the sign that I decided to not walk past armed. I don't want to be a test case.

Academy Sports conflicts themselves on their own door
vontar replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I like the sign at Gander Mnt. They have a sign that basically says that all firearms brought in for repair/service must be unloaded. This does not apply to our customers that have HCP permits -
Interesting. Not sure I would do it, I would not consider doing that myself, 200 dollar tax for a back action SBR, no thanks. However, I admit, it would probably be fun at the range and the and priceless for others to see for the first time. Russian Whisper? maybe Kiss of death.

Pro-Gun Group Defends Holocaust Imagery In Privacy Dispute
vontar replied to MikePapa1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Similar to the Public list of HCP holders in TN and how CA publishes it. (notice I didn't quote anything keeping with forum rules, you will have to read it to find out what I am referring too) Thanks for the post. -
It will be self service for those that can.

This news story from the UK can't be true...
vontar replied to East_TN_Patriot's topic in General Chat
but, but, but, they don't have guns over there. They have cameras everywhere in the U.K. and a witness. I am sure those guys will just turn themselves in as it is the right thing do to as they are so much more civil then us and our death penalty and all. -
somehow I missed this threat the first go around. People today are to quick to forget history. Most of us growing up were taught if you don't learn from history you will be forced to repeat it. Seems that is what will happen. People want to give up rights so the next generation will have to fight for them all over again, however they will be weaker and less able to do so. BTW, ever since I started learning about the U.N. I have never liked them, nor do I believe they do any real good.

Employee pulls gun during Wal-Mart produce dispute
vontar replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Your right, probably not over just this but I do suspect they are tired of the Wally walk jokes and the welcome HCP newbies jokes. However then I remember things like that can only happen in states were signs have force of law like TN. -
Is a "gunbuster" sign considered a proper posting?

Employee pulls gun during Wal-Mart produce dispute
vontar replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
This can not end well. I suspect The Great Wal Corp will join the bed wetters and other anti group armed with this incident. (Yes, I joined the Great wall of China and Walmart into Great Wal Corp.) -
A lot of truth in that. Still ROTF

Don't take any chances, take your .45 and put some rather large holes though that block. (not responsible for your actions, this is probably not the best idea ever rendered on the internet)

You found my bunker, I mean my home. Same bunker from another angle with a drawbridge. http://uuldesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/transformable-house-in-to-bunker.jpg Funny I can't get a picture to link

Lester Weevils has made some good points about the unknowns of the ecigs and quality controls. I was looking at the certain facts of the known tobacco kills over time and just kinda like many people assumed ecigs would be allot safer but I didn't expect them to be perfect either. I agree, if not the FDA need at least some independent lab like UL to test them

Is a "gunbuster" sign considered a proper posting?
vontar replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
pick up your cell phone and call them from outside and ask them if they have something. Say great I will be right down. 15 minutes later call them back, ask for the manger and tell them you drove down to buy such and such item and noticed the Gun buster and are upset that you now have to go find it someplace else. Side note, I didn't read the sign fully, but along with a legal posting at Kays Jewelry (on the door) in Turkey Creek Knoxville says something about the parking lot as well. I looked at it and thought there is no way that can include the parking lot since I can not see that from the entire parking lot, actually I can not read it until I am at the door. I don't know about all, but at least some other business' there are not posted. (I had no choice but to go in there, warranty work on a ring, lifetime warranty wedding ring cleaning) (I disarmed at the car as I knew that store was posted) -
Right now, the only upside to the hydrogen fuel cell is, that the electric used to produce the hydrogen can come from green sources. It can be produced by wind/solar and other renewable sources. However, we do not have the infrastructure in place for to make a mass conversation for it to make sense; however we have enough people looking for work. We have the people that are willing and able to build it, but the catch is, who is willing to pay for a project like that? It would involve massive solar and wind farms, plus upgraded power grids. It would not be an over night project, it would not be a 1 or 5 year project either.

Ting G makes the point of why I was trying to find the law on an offical site, cause if you compare it to the site I listed to what Tiny G listed they are opposed to each other. Front Sides, Rear sides and Back are all 35 percent according to Welcome to TintLaws.com I finally Found a direct link http://www.tsc.state.tn.us/opinions/tcca/PDF/053/SmithMichaelNOPN.pdf which is actually a bit of a case. However, with as much discussion seems there has been recent changes to the law maybe that are hard to find facts about. 55-9-107 - Motor vehicle windows with tinting, reflecting or sun screen material. :: 2010 Tennessee Code :: US Codes and Statutes :: US Law :: Justia well, the tint was on my car when I brought, there was not sticker in the door window and that window has been peeled as well. I will just keep driving it. The Tint that is on my car is from many years ago, to late to worry about it now.

Kinda what I thougth about graphics on the back glass. DaveTn, I thought about asking one of the Local LEO's when I just happen to bump into one of them at City park or some place public if they would mind checking with out worry of getting written up to see what they would say. I know my car is 2 dark for VA which "Must allow more than 50% of light in" on the sides

Electronic Cigarettes less dangerous compared to a child holding a pistol or shotgun I think we should be outraged that he is going for a twofer, anti smoking and anti guns in one. He didn't need to drag guns into this. Electronic Cigarettes Being Sold To Minors, Councilman Calls For Crackdown - WPIX Yup, you can image someone from New York is upset that there is no age restrictions on E-cigs since they don't contain as many of the same things as regular cigarettes. In fact he is wanting to get them banned where ever smoking is banned. I will say as a none smoker I have been around several people that use these and I can not smell them at all. Some people even use them to quit. A co worker just provided me a couple links to some places where he has found the best deals on them that I gave to my aunt that is trying to quit smoking, I have to get back to work.
