  1. They can be hunted on private property with the permit they are issuing to family and to 10 people the land owners sign up for. So I take it family plus 10.
  2. WD if you were a bit closer I would ask if you had a hog problem, however you are a bit to far for me to make regular trips. Beaver, coyote, groundhog, striped skunk - Open year-round, no limit. Coyote is in the Furbearers catagory as well, center fire is fine to use the way I read it.
  3. I have a feeling they are going to be very picky about who those 10 people they let get on that list are then. However I might have to talk with you just in case.
  4. Jab I agree with what you are saying. I have never went out to try to kill a wild hog before and I had planned and hoped to this year. I haven't had fresh hog since I was about 15 or so. ttocswob, at least you have that option, Myself I am looking for a place to hunt wild hog in a reasonable drive of Oak Ridge (maybe someone has a wild hog problem) and would be willing put me on their list to let me drive over some times to try to kill some this fall.
  5. Glad it was false. Second, if it took 20 minutes for a report to get out on this campus of all places, just another reason I am no one of the sheep.
  6. Better yet, apply for bankruptcy and or some form of small business assistance aid. There would probably be some program out there to help considering how screwed up things are.
  7. You are 100 percent RIGHT I know I had been planning to go hog hunting this year and well, now it is illegal for me to shot a hog while deer hunting go figure. Now my Hog hunting, I was just going to go Deer hunting in an area were there are allot of hogs. I liked the idea of having a chance to shoot a Deer or a hog which is now illegal. Second I was hoping the Night time hunting regs would pass and I wanted to try that (now I have to find a land owner that has a hog problem that might let me hunt. Last year I was would have been allowed to shoot them on sight but never saw one, this year I was planning to go deer hunt in an area where hogs are known to be. I guess there is no real point unless I find a land owner that is willing to let me hog hunt on his/her land. After reading everything I have so far, I really don't believe the following statement from the hunting guide because of the following statement Seems someone that writes the rules and regulaions believes dead hogs spread the range of wild hogs. Go figure.
  8. ... I am starting to think they want the wild hogs due to them cancelling the wild hog season. My post really belongs in the hunting forum thread.
  9. That is what I mean, I need to find a Landowner with a pig problem willing to put me on the list of 10 so I can hunt. The exception appears to be easy for them to get if they want it. The land owner and their family plus 10 people.
  10. The Motel I posted a picture of was in Hickman Co., Grinder Switch Inn.. (CenterVille) Near the home of Minnie Pearl.
  11. Sounds like you made a Friend Growing up in the country, I would shoot in my backyard all the time. Had a good backstop. The only thing, mom always made me set up some bottle rockets first to warn neighbors before I started shooting. About a half mile a away a county Duty lived. He took home his monthly practice ammo and he shot all the time too. So it really was no big deal. Funny I go home now, I am not allowed to shoot in the back yard. They have less neighbors but mom worries I will scare the dogs so I have to go up in the mountains and find other good back stops. Just means some good 4 wheelers time.
  12. They really hit they head hard. see below nope, I just found it. It is horrible. on Page 38 I am so freakign mad, it just ruined some of my falll plans. Now I need to find a land owner that has a pig problem.SOB SOB SOB SOB I am ready to call someone. There is a slight change I might see a game warden tomorrow. I hope I see him. I know there is nothing he could change but to ask him if I he has any insight as to why that changed so much.
  13. My dad always went hunting and fishing and when I was olding enough I alway wanted to go. I remember I took me deer hunting with him when I was 8. Then when I was 10 I took the TN safety course. He brought me a .270 when I was 10 and a .22 He let me keep the .22 in my room, I was a big boy, I love telling people today that when I was 10 I had my old gun and it freaks them out.
  14. From the 2011 TN Hunting Guide. As it is legal to carry in a State and National park in TN and if it was self defense I don't see a problem I would report it as such. Second, I hope you are carrying something big enough to stop it. I would hope 38 and up. (someone will probably tell me 38 might be low) I know a 22 to the HEAD kills them when you slaughter hogs but that is a prefect shot.
  15. I have an idea on stringing them. Isn't there a new law coming into effect that letting on all signs has to be of a certain size by a certain year? There is no way everything contained in the 6x14 will fit if they have to blow up the letters any bigger. I know these are not exactly road signs but an argument could be made they are POSTED at the entry point to PARKS and drivers should be able to see them clearly so they should be replaced with larger signs along with this program which will cost the cities extra money to keep these parks posted. Federal Law Mandates Larger Street Signs. Here is a story on it. TN is fighting it I don't the way it is being done, I believe they could replace them as needed instead of replacing all by a set date but hey maybe these stupid 6x14's should get included as well. You can't read them from your car if you don't know it trying by. Federal Law Mandates Road Signs Must Be Replaced - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports
  16. When my wife first told me about this, I thought it was another one of those time when they distracted the border patrol to let illegal enter. Seriously how could they have missed the bridge and the river.
  17. I was in Hickman county last year, it is not what it used to be. The deer are mighty thin now. Almost everything is posted. Dad and I did not have any success finding any private land to hunt so we had to hunt the public land and that has been turned into pine Forest. We probably won't be going back there. I know some good places but they are posted all to hell. I now some places there I would love to own as well. About 20 years ago, we killed a number of deer down there.
  18. I disagree, my 5.11's don't allow me to climb up knotted rope, but they do pass as business casual at work go figure. I actually like the shirts. They are just to dam expensive. I got a couple on close out and that is it.
  19. How many Mexican Soilders can you fit in a Humvee? About 8.25 Crossing the border into Texas Source Mexican Soldiers Invade US by Accident on July... | Gather Mexico Invades U.S. Through Texas Accidentally, Has 33 Soldiers Returned 33 Mexican soldiers accidentally invade Texas - On Deadline - USATODAY.com BTW, I was just trying to be funny with the title. But serious they know were that border is.
  20. Someone has to post this. The most sponsored pray ever. Original Songify version 914452F276&index=1&playnext=2
  21. What will probably get it repealed is the first person that gets a ticket for the Bad Cop, no Donut bumper sticker. It will probably start up something like this Here is your 90 dollar speeding ticket and by the way, here is another 50 dollar ticket for that bumper sticker. (Note, I don't have single bumper sticker on car or truck).
  22. that is who I use. SOmeone posted several months back the Pres. of Y12 states they would not post.
  23. Then how about taking a page from this bank http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/2nd-amendment-issues/60071-bank-encourages-open-carry-finally-some-logic.html Since you are wanting it for the parking lot change to something like this, Those that lawfully carry handguns may not bring them in the premises but may leave them locked in their cars. This would allow them to travel to and from work protecting themselves as if we had a valid parking lot bill in place like some other states like KY. I really want a parking lot bill.
  24. What is worse is who now gets to decide what is Obscene. For the record, in 87 small plastic crucifix submerged in a glass of the artist's urine was ruled art which upset and outraged and offended probably millions of people.
  25. I know the ones in Oak Ridge are correct size. I actually checked them because I thought they were small.
