  1. Thanks. Spots, feel free to add anything you want.   This is how I posted it.        When your Dad first saw that tree, I bet the first thing he thought was he should have called out of work that morning.
  2. my next goal on my insurance page is to lose about 15 pounds by August.  I see that in range.   My doctor told me he wants to see me to get to 220.  So I have a ways to go, not sure I see 220, but going to take it small goal at a time.   I have to say, Fitbit is really encouraging me, more then allot of things have.
  3. Spots, can I take that picture and post it with the store on the Oak Ridge 24/7 facebook group?  Of if you are a member there I would like it better if you would post it.
  4. I like that, got a call for a down tree.  Show up and find that.   probably could have sectioned it and sold it for projects.  Probably should have sent some samples to some place like UT or some other place that does environmental studies.
  5. As some of you know, I just turned 18 with 22 years experience last week. Got my blood results back today and lets say they are better then when I was 25.   Since Christmas I have drop 40 pounds, 3 inches off my waist.(second year in a row lost 3 inches).   The biggest change I made was since Feb 23 to April 22 I had ZERO fast food.   I cooked most of my meals at home and was pretty careful on what I eat.  Allot of homemade chili if you aren't from Texas as it did have beans.   My Total Cholesterol  went from 168 to 110.  My LDL was about 55.  (don't have the paper in front of me) My Triglycerides went from 271 last year to 91.    I was floored when I saw that 110.  I remembered joking with him at the office that I had made big changes and I would be hurt if I hadn't got down to 150.       During my visit my doctor had said the main thing he would like to see my Triglyceride and weight to come down.  He still would like to see my drop 80 pounds.  I am going to try.  This has been an eye opener.   With the fit bit I have been much more active but that only started about a week before my doctor's visit so I know that wasn't a big factor.    I really believe it was the avoiding fast food for 2 months made that big of a difference.  I intend to keep that up with the new walking.   I had been over 300 cholesterol about 5 years ago, diet and exercise then got me to 230. Then I  taking some cholesterol medicine for the past 2 or 3 years.  That was only getting me from about 230 to the 170 range.    I also remember in my 20's I was always around 200, (fast food) but years ago anything under 200 was considered fine, now I think they want closer to 100.
  6. Take this for what you will but I was just watching Les Stroud and he said bears can smell Lithium batteries.  A black bear took one of his cameras and they found it about 100 yards way chewed on with footage they used.   He was in the Smoky Mountains when it happened.    Yes, it was one of his big foot shows, but I watched it just because it was in the Smoky Mountains.   I liked his Survivor man series but don't care for his Big Foot hunt.   I am sure it is just marketing or viewers but I think it hurts his image.
  7. I got a replacement fob from amazon or ebay, programmed prefect.  however it was my spare and a few months later I picked it up and it was dead.  either it came with a cheapo battery or the unit it's self.  I haven't tried to change the battery yet.
  8. Just wondering does anyone here use a Fitbit?  Or are you asking what is a Fitbit?   Work gave everyone that wanted one a Fitbit zip and ask us to try to do 10,000 steps a day and gave a challenge of 200,000 steps.  (I will hit my 200,000 today, in fact I am only about 2k under now).   Since I got this sucker I have been more active, it alone has been more motivation then anything else.   I have been going out of my way to make sure I get my 10k steps, I have only missed it one day and I got 9k but also that day the battery came lose so I lost some steps.  I have hit as high as 15k in a day.   When I first got it, I did some average days, nothing else and found I was only getting about 3,000 steps.   Anyways, I liked the fitbit zip so much, I wanted to try the upgrade so I gave it to my wife and brought myself the Fitbit Charge HR which is more of a watch and has heart beat and sleep monitor.   I like how the site puts most things in to a graph with time of day so you can see when and how active you are.   So far today, I have got     Daily Totals 3,397 steps 5 floors 1.6 miles 1,317 calories. In the past 7 days, I have had Weekly Totals 72,945 steps 49 floors 34.52 miles 26,781 calories I think this is something I really needed.  Just wondering if anyone else has used them.   FYI, the zip is about 50 dollars, and I found the battery to be a bit lose (watch type battery) I added some strips of paper to tighten it up.  The watch is rechargeable.   If you go to buy one, I found the price changes often on Amazon.  Normal about 200, but I snagged mine when it was out of stock and the price was dropped to 150.  I thought it was a mistake but Amazon still sent it.   Link: http://amzn.com/B00N2BW2PK   There is even a more advanced one but also more expensive.
  9. what's the big deal about the 307 compared to 301?     - OS     Well there is a bit of size difference.    Buck model #307 “Wrangler” large stockman is 4 1/4 inches closed while the 301 stockman is 3-7/8.  I know that doesn't seem like much seeing the measurements but when you are holding them, there is a noticeable difference in size and weight.   I will try to get a picture of the 2 side by side later.
  10. also it is a long story of research I have done and pieced together over the internet.  This may not be 100 percent but in short I found that for the most part, Buck Contracted a Company called Camillus to produce their Buck 307 line.  Camillus went bankrupt several years ago.    Word is the machines they used to make the blank 307 blades is lost to the wind.   I have managed to get a few 307 bucks from Ebay and even a couple Camillus 307's.    However I will feel better being able to give dad his knife back.  Last week he gave it to me with the broken blade after we found out Buck would not fix it.    So I am going to do what I can with in reason to get it fixed.   Got the replacement blade for 16 and change shipped.    Edit, corrected spelling on Camillus thanks OS.
  11. The 37x knives are made in China. The #301 and 303 knives are USA made!     However if you have a Buck 307, Buck will not repair it.  Most knives they will repair for 10 dollars per blade.    They don't have replacement blades for a 307.  Found out after Dad broke his favorite knife.  He is mad at buck right now.   I got on the phone with them and they offered to trade it out for a Buck 301.  I said no.    However I just traded down a new, never used blade for a 307.   Next will be getting it put in so I can give it back to him on fathers day I hope.
  12. Well I am behind on this as well.   However I believe I have a good excuse in my personal life right now.   So, gather Cities/counties don't have to remove the signs that say no guns, but they have no meaning for those of us with a valid permit.  Much like the signs at State/National Parks.   Is this in affect now or do we have to wait until July 1st?
  13. What did I come in this post for?
  14. For those that haven't seen other videos, Watch this one.   Walmart employee advises the gun has a lock, and 10 seconds later there about he fired the gun.  This is the video allot of people are not seeing.  Not found this video on Youtube yet.   http://www.cnn.com/2015/04/17/us/arizona-suspect-walmart-rifle/   never mind, found it on you tube with 6 views.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWlCe7SytZ0
  15. Excessive force would be if they beat him after he was down.  Since he had already fired the gun, stakes were pretty high.   In short, they stopped the threat.
  16. I saw the video the other morning and not seeing this part shown on TV anyone.   Guy is walking down the road after stealing the gun/ammo.  Someone is yelling at the police that the guy has a lock on it so the guy can't shoot it.  About then, the guy fires it in the air.  You know the Bidden way.
  17. Also that hidden book has special parking rules as well if you drive hummers. This picture is only to show there was other good parking places that the hummer could fit in. Also note, i was only there about 10 minutes at the most, I pulled in, parked, it wasn't there. About 10 minutes later as I walk out, it is there.
  18. Hazard a ahead, move Right.
  19. I know I did signed up.  I believe I did it on my 18th birthday at the local small town post office.
  20. lets see, our VPN locks with only 3 failed attempts, our NT locks at 6 attempts.   So brute force isn't getting though.
  21.   The seller might have had a similar gun but lifted the picture from the internet to save time on getting his own pictures and over looked the serial number.  But I don't post any gun pictures with the serial number.   Also I turn off GPS tagging just n case so the meta data isn't sent out as well.     With that photoshop app, add a water mark to your important pictures.
  22.     They did and they replaced all the keyfobs that had been affected.  Were I worked, we had a part in redistributing about 10k worth of RSA tokens.  I understand was all provided by RSA at no cost, but I can't prove that as that is handled in another department, in another state.
  23. OK, step forward, which one of you brought it.  They are now out of stock.
