  1. another reason to always check any firearm when you pick one up. First things I always do.
  2. something is bothering me about that. Looks like the racks are on the wrong sides. I think they should be taken off and switched left and side to get it right. either that or the dark picture is not letting my eye follow them correctly.
  3. Thing is we are both both using the TWRA as a source of information. We both getting information from the same horses month and he is telling us 2 different tales at the same website on different pages. Both pages are live right now. So I am betting a game warden would charge a person if the person said they were hunting with a pistol with a barrel of less then 4 inches. So for now any pistol on my person with less then 4 is only for SD. On the chart you listed, does not say barrel length at all, but under FAQ they cover Barrel length which is what I posted. However I guess a lawyer could tear that apart as to the way they word it, that they don't say under 4 is illegal either.
  4. I seem immune from such. I currently don't own more then one buy from any one maker. Nothing is wrong with any of mine, just so many choices I want to experience others. You know guns don't mind if you have others.
  5. Still have to have a 4 inch barrel per Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - FAQs However, sounds like this is going to be a pistol for me, yea I had read some place 4.9 inch. So it fits the bill for no question on being legal to hunt with if I so desire.
  6. I put a Beretta 92 FS in my hand, now I am thinking about it. I am not looking at this for a CC weapon, but as a range target/ carry pistol while hunting. I have thought about it and while hunting I figure I would like to carry something that would also be legal to hunt with. While hunting I figure it does not matter so much if I am CC since any one is going to know I am carrying as they are going to see my rifle, etc. I have been carrying my Judge, however with only a 3inch barrel not legal for hunting, so I can only carry it for SD with my HCP. I did confirm with a game warden and he did tell me that as long as I didn't shoot game with it and I had my HCP no issue with carrying a hand gun that was not illegal for hunting as long as it was the personal self defense weapon. The Beretta felt good in my hand and I could carry as SD and use on game if I wanted to since it is at least 4 inch barrel. I think wiki said 4.3, Anyone have much feed back on it before I buy one? I haven't yet but I am on the edge of buying one. Beretta 92 FS 15 + 1 9 MM single/double action decocker
  7. sadly the 4th amendment is dying slowly in the country.
  8. where the heck can I find some heat seeking rounds. I have never ever seen those available at my local gun shops. I think they are letting me down or I am not using the correct code words at the counter. When a law makter gets elected, they think they have to actually make new laws. It does not matter how dumb they sound. I actually believe for the most part we have enough laws, to many infact. More laws, equals a stricker police state. Just enforce the ones we have, thin out the dumb ones.

yea, i don't have many friends on there yet either. I even have a circle for TGO. I keep my guns away from my co workers. If you invite me to games, I will add you to a gaming circle. I don't do many game. I found a zombie game I play sometimes. added jcstrickmm and jeffcj vontar@gmail.com
  10. I do agree with the devils advocate as well, that did cross my mind. Plus it does show their view point that they are not gun friendly. I am sure if you ask they are going to say no. Be happy the sign is not legal.
  11. I found it Just wow, they are not people, they are the animals.
  12. Out of respect of both forum rules and the person that owns the graphic, Please just click the link it is a Picture of Steve Jobs standing at Heavens Gate with St. Peter going though the book of Life and Steve Jobs saying he has an App for that. Steve Jobs in heaven - Funny Pictures - LOLPics
  13. INAL, agreeing with others. My opinion like others is worth what you paid, nothing. CC, don't ask don't tell. Deep cover. If ask to leave, leave. I have read here that if an officer does not see you there, it is pretty much it didn't happen. I feel authorized by my HCP as well, unless told otherwise or by legal sign that says different or a location that is an automatic no. However, my doctors office is actually legally posted. BTW, I would love to tell all these places that post that leaving my gun in a car in the parking lot is actually less safe then keeping it on my person.
  14. Can I just vote for Ron Paul, the poor guy don't have many years left and we know he likes guns. Kinda like the pope after pope John Paul ii, I have a feeling they are going to vote for the old guy in the room so they don't have to wait so long for the next vote. Funny thing about watching all of them up their debating at once, they are all trying to make themselves look good while taking small bites out of each other but being careful to walk the party line at the same time. If they really get into it too much and too heated they know they will drag out some horrible things out of the closet that will hurt the winner in the run off with Obama.
  15. double post.
  16. A lawyer or another person smarter then I will probably come back and slap me for this. I still believe he should get his rights back that TN does not have a dog in this fight. However. I did some reading on TN's process and I believe TN is basing it on TN's process and not GA's. I am not going to dig in GA's just what the article said. Moving to what I dug up on TN. http://www.pardon411.com/wiki/Tennessee_Pardon_Information way down on the page. down around 14 and 15. Right after it talks about But what I believe they are forgetting is the fact that GA did that. He does not have to apply to TN because that was done already by the state were he was convicted of the crime. It then moves into Gun Rights. Not certain but appears GA already granted them, he should not be required to obtain them on a state by state bases IMHO. In closing, a in indicates a pardon in one state is not always set in stone when you move across the line to another state.
  17. I wonder if these places are still kinda cheap. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/tennessee-politics-legislation/56374-nashville-forces-limo-services-charge-higher-prices-say-what.html I know when I heard about this it kinda ticked me off and I wanted to support the small limo companies. They used to go 20-25 dollar rates. When I heard about this if I got to Nashville before it took effect I was going to take my wife out with that company for an evening but I am afraid it is to late. As for my wife, for our anniversaries, she wants to go to Cracker Barrel because on our Honey Moon, that was the best restaurant around for several days and the people go to know us and the bed and breakfast we were staying at was owned by the manger of the same.
  18. people wash their trucks? Maybe I should try that.
  19. yup, the part "where alcoholic beverages are sold" makes it part of the old signage IMHO, and INAL. Don't ask, don't tell may have been repealed or not but still a good policy for concealed. If you ask you have blown cover.
  20. Well, I guess if you are at the bar they want you drinking. The other day I was at my local pub I like to visit. I was unarmed per the law since the place is not posted and I was drinking. You know being a good law abiding citizen and all when this couple come up and sat beside me and started ordering water. For the next 2 hours they ordered WATER. I was drinking Guinness and Irish Car bombs. They were looking at the menu, kinda confused me. Maybe they forgot to leave their pistols in the car . But they could have had coke at least.
  21. He may have turned her off men.
  22. Italian jury clears American Amanda Knox of murder - CNN.com I happy for her. Something inside me believed her from the beginning which is odd. When I heard how they interrogated her to get any so called evidence I knew it would never stand up in an American court but I knew she would have a fight on her hands in any other country. Turns out she had a 4 year fight.
  23. Posting with out reading everyone else comments here. I formed an opinion early on and then I really did not follow it in the news. I am writing this from memory as well. I believed her story, their legal system is totally different then ours. I don't know if this is true or not but I remember back then it seems they said She was interrogated for hours with out sleep and food or legal aid until they got a story they wanted. I am inclined to believe she would not have been convicted if the trial was held in an American court with American laws. I don't believe she is guilty. http://www.injusticeinperugia.org/TheInterrogation.html
  24. I know what OP means, when I was growing up and new to driving, the roads were as described above, not prefect but not bad. One day they a road crew went though and spilled and spread some pavement all over the place in about a 5 mile area in patches. Not in one big lane. I mean they added patches randomly to make it look like the road had been patched here and there were there was really no problems. Then we had to drive on that crap for about a year before they went back and pave the whole road to actually fix what was not broke to begin with.
