My wife and I have both been working on trying to get in better shape.  We have been going for more walks and and eating better and such.   A few weeks ago, we saw a guy setup with a telescope with a group of people around him.  We thought he was probably a teacher with his class on a field trip     Well last night he was back setup and only a few people around so we decided to walk up and started talking with him.  Found out he just enjoys setting up his telescope and sharing views of the moon and planets with people.  He showed us the moon at 250x which was just stunning.  About then Venus became visible so we got to look at Venus as well   He told us if we would be around for about the next hour or so, Juniper, Saturn could also be seen.   Well we did wait around and got to See both Juniper and Saturn.  I put on a 500x for them.   You could see the cloud bans on Jupiter and the 4 galilean moons.   The moons were in a perfect aline mine as Jupiter was in the bottom of the view and the 4 moons where in a straight line away from the planet.  In short, not behind it or across the face of Jupiter. The Red spot seemed to be on the far side so it was not visible for us.  Saturn we could see the planet and rings,   This was the first time I ever actually looked at the planets with a telescope meant for such.  (tried a few times in the past with a gun scope but not the same thing by far.)   As the evening was coming to an even, We looked at the moon with the x500.  I don't even think I can fully describe the view.  It looked better then any pictures I have seen on TV of the moon and he said the view at x500 would be like flying over the moon at 1,000 miles if I understood him correct.  You could see some real detail.   I am now following him on Facebook.

Put the hinge at the Top so if it comes open it doesn't hit anyone in the heat.  To access said firearms (aka Defense AK-47 or AR 15) one just  has to reach in from the bottom.

Yesterday the news reports that, A the man came up behinder Zimmerman flashing his lights and trying to get him to pull over Zman did not and the man suppose to have pulled up beside Zman and shot though the windows nearly hitting zman in the had, broken glass did inflict some cuts.   Then the man that did the shooting pulled into a place on the site of the road asking someone one to call 911 because he didn't have a phone and said I shot George Zimmerman.   It sounded pretty premeditated to me.  The news also reported this was the same person that has had a long dispute with Zimmerman for about a year or so.   I am not certain it was road rage since the guy knew him and had been having issues with for the past year or so.  Sounds like he waited for an opportunity and acted.   However, I am sure the events will change as the store unfolds and is develops more.    http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/12/us/florida-george-zimmerman-shooting/index.html

This weekend, I had a metal roof put on my house.   Looks very nice and I expect it to perform just as well.   My house almost looks like a new house with it.   I will get new, improved gutters in a week or 2, the gutter guy is coming tomorrow to measure.   Then this fall, going to have the same guy that did my roof do my siding.   I really was past the time I should have had my roof put on,  When I brought this house I was told almost ever roof was repaired or replaced after a bad hail storm around 93 or 94.   I have been watching and in the past 3 years, almost half of the houses on my street and about 90 percent of the ones I can see from my front door have had new roofs put up.   Last year mine leaked around the chimney and I had the flashing repaired but knew it was time to plan a job.   I had the roofer paint my chimney, do the roof and fix the Eaves or Soffit and the fascia.   Everything looks so much better.   Can't wait to do the siding this fall when I can afford that job.     Wife can't wait for it to rain to hear it.  My self, I just feel better knowing we have a roof that is ready.

also last year I did try some green and gold label Johnnie, but never got to the blue, there again, I say it is just to dam pricy.  Maybe when I get some things paid for I will try it.

Anyone here able to repair/change a blade in a Buck 307? Dad broke his favorite every day Buck 307 that he has carried since at least the mid 80's. Wondering if anyone here about to take a buck 307 apart and replace the main blade? ( I have already obtained the hard to get blade ). Buck will only replace the knife with a 301, however we don't want to replace this one with a 301. In fact I already brought him a 301 to carry. Yes, it is old, dirty but to him it does have some sentimental value which is why it is not just being traded for a 301.
