  1. I got my vote in   currently   2.01% Yes 97.99% No
  2.     I never never considered Dick's to be a source for guns and ammo.   Per Troy, Dicks was selling them undercost.   seriously how does a business make any money selling anything under cost?   It Troy has products available on hand they should find the customers that Dick screwed and try to work out something for those customers as good PR.   BTW if Troy does have left over inventory, I believe they could truck it direct to TN and sell it quick.
  3. Thanks OS.    Yea this is going to be my first one for sure.  Never even helped clean an AR before.  :ugh:   All I have so far is the Matched upper and lower and 3 Pmags I got from Ebay.   I am going to have to get everything else yet.  Going to have to decide on things like the barrel.  I am going to have my work cut out for me that is for sure.     OS, I was reading the thread about pistol to rifle and back to pistol.   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/54365-ar15-pistol-to-rifle-and-back-to-pistol/   I don't think I am going to worry about making a pistol one, but that make something stand out on the CMT Tac page.       then in that other thread I read      Almost too much for a person.   But I did like the thought of the 308 pistol example
  4. I guess there needs to be some public record of those claiming to be reporters.  I mean they have a high amount of influence and they are public figures like them or not.
  5. yup, i know of one in Oak Ridge.  I talked to him a few days before Christmas.  reasonable fees.   BTW, I rushed in a bit faster then I intended on my AR built.  The price seemed fair, the color I won't feel like less of a man shooting my wifes AR  :D Serious I am going to have to look into options of having the pink stripped off or having it coated over.    As I start the build, I am going to have a world of questions and requests for suggestions.
  6. if you would a bit closer I would get with you and have you order and FFL transfer to me.   I know some local FFL's but don't think they are too keen on establishing contacts. I think they would prefer to order and sell.  waiting to hear back from one that I know of.
  7. aimsurplus took about 8 days on a pair of GSG 22 mags I ordered.
  8. sL1k   question, how did you get it shipped to an FFL, I have not found a list of FFL's they ship too.  Any suggestions?
  9.     Right now I could deal with a pink AK.  At least it wouldn't be evil black.  :D   Seriously i am looking.  Going to check them out.     I guess later down the road can you have it painted and it still be fine?   If not, i have a great idea for an improved brass catcher.
  10. The good ones go to soon.
  11. With enough notice I might could break away but things are a bit crazy right now.
  12. Look at the AR shortage and compare.  What if that had been the SHTF moment.  Compare AR's to other readily available food items.   Sure there was AR's on the shelves but not enough for everyone that wanted.  Had this been a food shortage you know your local stores would have been out just as fast.   Say only 30 percent of Americans actually tried to obtain an AR in the last week and supply is gone.  Had it been a food storage 100 percent of Americans would have been going after food supplies.   Were you ready?   Myself a little short but certainly ahead of the curve I believe. Still behind in some key areas.
  13. This had been a good read.  I admit didn't get it all read tonight.   However one thing I didn't see and maybe I over looked it.   Since you are planning up to a 2 day walk, 15 miles one way or 25 the other, you might want to setup 2 small caches (at least 1 on the 15 mile) and store a fair amount of water so that it would be along the trail you are planning.  Since this would only be a 2/3 day hike, probably don't need to make major caches but at least water and fire starting supplies.  Then along with your pack should be pretty good.   Myself I need to plan a 5 day pack with 1 or 2 caches to hike the path I would consider.
  14.     He didn't have the Bang Bang APP correctly installed.
  15. That is a real Dick Move.
  16. You know, after he shot himself in the leg I can buy that he dropped the rest of the .22's that where in his pistol.  I think the timing of events and facts of the drop has been misreported.
  17. I regularly ask my bank for 2 dollar bills,  Best I have ever got was about 24 dollars worth.   Normally I use them as tips and such but I spend them as well.   Dollar coins are the same, it confuses people.
  18. jtmaze.  I will run for any office if anyone wants to put me up.   I am not a richman and I would even make promise of not getting rich in office as well.   I believe everyone here knows where I stand on Gun Rights.
