I've been an LEO 5 years now and I've only dealt with one person who was carrying openly. I asked for his HCP, he provided it and we were good to go. The only reason he drew suspicion is that he was standing at the counter of a diner, leaned over to the left with his S&W Sigma hanging off his right side. He was wearing workout pants and using a Fobus holster. Needless to say the combo was damn near falling out of his pants. I have no legal problem with OC but if you're going to do it at least handle it properly. It was obvious this fellow was doing it for the wrong reasons AND was doing it improperly... in my eyes.

They bought the Schnucks on Farmington near Germantown Parkway I hear. Funny part is that there is a Kroger on Exeter less than 1/2 mile away from the current Schnucks location. I wonder how they'll handle that...

Hello Ladies! My girlfriend's birthday is coming up at the beginning of August so I did what any great boyfriend would do.... I bought her her first pistol, a brand new 4th Gen Glock 26! That being said I haven't given it to her yet and I wanted to research some holster ideas to get her started. She works retail so she's fashionable.. which means the occasional set of tight pants. I love the idea of IWB carry but she may have to settle with purse carry every so often. I'm going to attempt to get her to sign up here so you can talk to her directly. I had a great time both days, even with the low vendor turnout on Sunday. Only downer was when they went range cold due to a fire on the opposite side of the berm. No big deal. Vendors were awesome, one even talked me into a Maxpedition bag AND gave me a hell of a deal. The HK guys were cool, they even went out of their way to contact my dept. as to keep us using their line of pistols. Good on you and all the other volunteers Chance. I must admit my ignorance here: I haven't read all available articles about this situation apparently as I had not heard of and truth skewing. A search warrant was signed, by a judge, to search the mans home. There was obviously enough probable cause for the search due to this fact. The judge won't sign a bogus search warrant, for obvious reasons. The Officers pulled up, turned on their siren for a few, announced themselves several times and made entry. They followed all protocol. He was a Marine, noted, but they shouldn't treat him any differently than any other search warrant. That's how good guys die. I'm a gun guy and a Police Officer and it hurts when gun folks get bent out of shape about assumptions made against them yet some seem quick to make assumptions about us. What gives? I've been a Police Officer for 5 years in West TN and I've yet to see a squad car with a bullet-resistant barrier. Reading your post makes me nervous, thinking of someone behind me in my squad car with a pistol, but I wasn't there and I didn't have personal interaction with you. I've had 5% on all my vehicles and I've only been stopped once for it. It's all personal preference my man, to me 35% is like having nothing at all. To some 35% or 20% may be perfect. P.S. I'm a police officer and even I stay away from Bartlett, if I can. 
