  1. Today I received and installed a Vortex scope level. Also, I properly leveled the reticule. Hopefully I can get to the range tomorrow or Sunday to see where I'm at. Also, I'm looking at getting a set of JP Enterprises trigger springs. They're supposed to lighten a mil-spec trigger to around 4.5-5 lbs. at $11.00 it seems like it'd be worth trying out. 2. Also, I ordered a bipod to go with my MOUNT N SLOT mount. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. No! The sickness is real and I'm digging it!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yes! It is a mil spec trigger. Once I lighten it and/or get a better trigger I think it'll help my groupings. That and a lot of practice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I ordered a MOUNT-N-SLOT for my keymod fore end to allow me to run a bipod. I also ordered a Vortex scope level to help me with my orientation. I also ordered a Caldwell NTX rifle shooting mount. I hoping that'll help me zero the rifle a bit better. Once I get that squared away I'll be able to tighten my groups with practice. 6. That's beautiful. I'd like to get a bipod much like the one your uncle is running. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I say the trigger sucks... It was fine when I was shooting iron sights at 25 yards. Once I went out further the heaviness of the trigger showed its ugly side. I'd like a more rigid stock... Something like the Magpul precision rifle stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Trigger sucks. Scope rings are a bit high and the buttstock does leave a lot to be desired. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. So, the Diamondback is awesome. My ability to shoot using a scope is NOT awesome. These are from 100 yards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. My only foray into .308 was with a Socom 16 M1A that I had years ago. Man I miss that rifle.... though it did kick like a mule.    This AR platform .308 has a much tamer recoil. It's really a joy to shoot.    My Diamondback 4-12x40 will be here tomorrow (Wednesday). Hopefully I'll be able to get out to MSSA to get her dialed in Thursday or Friday.
  12. I haven't the slightest idea. It weighs more than my 5.56 carbine, but not so much that I'd dread humping it through the Hindu Kush. I'll try and get a weight for ya. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Here's the scope mount I'm using. A buddy of mine gave it to me for use on the .308. He's not sure of the manufacturer but it feels very solid. Does anyone recognize it? P.S. My diamondback will be here tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. 225. Oh, were you talking about the rounds? I'm not sure, it was some surplus .308 I had laying around from my M1A. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. Well, finally got the chance to stretch her legs. My wife and I shot 24 rounds through her yesterday and she functioned flawlessly. Deadly accurate and just a tad more recoil than my 5.56. Hopefully my Vortex will be here soon so we can see what she's really capable of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Full disclosure: The MBUS' were purchased for my 15, not the 10. Once my optic comes in they'll be transferred. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Ordered a Vortex Diamondback 4-12X40 today... Looking at mounts now. How does everyone feel about the Burris PEPR? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Finally got the correct brake in the mail. All done now except for some backup iron sights and an optic! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
