  1. No, here is where most people don't understand us. I do it because I was put here to do it. From the day I was born I felt a need to protect those who cannot protect themselves and help the needing. Whether or not you believe in a higher being I believe he put me here to do this job I am doing now. I treat people with respect and never overstep boundaries. This is why it bothers me when people bash all LEO's. Even though there are bad ones I grasp onto the idea that some people do appreciate what we do.
  2. Good lord I bet that's hard to ignore. I can half-way understand why SOME gun store owners/workers are *******s until they see you're not an idiot.
  3. Anti-moron, Anti-bad cops thread I agree with. Cop bashing I do no agree with. Protect your rights, yes, I agree 110%. Like I said, as long as folks here don't see every LEO as bad then I think we've accomplished something. The majority are good people. We sure as hell don't do it for the money, that I can assure you.
  4. I'll still mount up everyday and do my job as best I can. I'd do anything to protect/help ANYONE on this board as well as anyone I come into contact with at work. It's an oath I took and one I take very seriously. I would never violate anyone's rights or overstep my boundaries.
  5. As long as you folks keep it in your noggin that not all cops do the despicable things you talk about over the internet. As a matter of fact I'd say 99% of police officers are innocent of all charges being brought up in this thread. Just people, like you, trying to do a job and do it well.
  6. Tungsten you have no idea how hard it is being a cop and having to know EVERYTHING there is to know about EVERY firearm ever made. Don't forget knowing EVERY law in ever country/city in the world. I agree, people in gun stores are annoying. That's why I stick to the gun-owners forums; they hold more water.
  7. Congrats on surviving. Never forget it.... not that you will!
  8. No, we don't have to. Just like we don't have to show you the radar.

  10. I'll look in my TCA book when I go to work but I have never heard of anything like that. If you've got a valid HCP what difference does it make if you're a truck driver?
  11. H&K P2000. It goes bang everytime and feels great in my hand.
  12. Thanks Dave.
  13. :)My father was a police officer in Chicago for a period of time back in the early 80's. He has since given me his S&W Model 59 SAO nickel plated 9mm duty pistol which he carried while on duty. Does anyone have ANY idea where I can find parts for it? Magazines, springs, etc... I can't seem to find anything for it, I guess it is a bit old.
  14. You could keep the rifle in your toolbox and the magazine in your console. Theoretically.
  15. Welcome.
  16. As far as I know he does. He made an IWB for my HK P2000 and he already had the mold. It's my daily carry for my P2000.
  17. I'm sorry, and this is just my opinion, but the XD is on of the ugliest guns out there. They make Glocks look like works of art.
  18. Thank you razorback2003, I appreciate the thanks. A little off topic, but pull over to the right as soon as safely possible; The officer has chosen where he wants you to stop. When a vehicle continues driving after I've activated my blue lights is when the red flags go up.
  19. I'm an LEO in West TN and I've also got a handgun carry permit. I hate when people jump out of the car and meet me, I also hate when people don't pull over to the right when I activate my blue lights. I love it when people tell me they have a handgun in the car, and produce a valid HCP. I've never disarmed someone, now that I think of it. Not saying I wouldn't do it.... just haven't felt the need yet.
  20. That's a BB air rifle for the black birds. Greg is Pete10 on HKPro.com. He's a kydex holster manufacturer and is open to custom work. His e-mail is greg@peterscustomholsters.com I paid $64.00 for the holster. Being that this is the first light-bearing holster he's made I sent him my X300 so he could make the mold as exact as possible. Retention is pretty good, held upside down the weapon does not fall out. I wouldn't wear it as a security holster, obviously, but while at training I will.
  21. Check out my thread at the top of this forum.
  22. This is the Peters Custom Holster that Greg made for me. It fits my duty USP 40 w/ Surefire rail adapter and an X300. The kydex tabs go over the belt and the straps strap over the belt providing a nice, tight, close-to-the-body fit. Check Greg out if you need a weapon-light pistol holster or just a nice IWB holster. Thanks Greg! Kydex tab that goes over the belt Kydex tab that goes over the belt, with strap closed Business end Inside, no weapon There it is! What a top notch holster! Fit and feel is amazing and it's very comfortable to wear. A++ All I had to do was send Greg my light and adapter. He set aside a date so that he only had my light/adapter for one day. Great service!
  23. Wow guys, I didn't think I had that many! Some of them are safe queens and don't get shot much. My duty HK along with all the other HK's get shot often, along with the AR and M1A.
  24. Thank you! I just went through puberty, give me some time! Thank you, I really appreciate it! The donuts were on the table outside the picture.... Dunkin Donuts baby! He's old school so I take notes! Between Memphis and Collierville I love my job! I'll stick with where I'm at for now, hopefully I never have to defend my life..... but I'm ready too.
