  1. Stgyork,   I have three Regents.2 R100's and an R200S. The R200S is the maxed out version (ambi safety, beavertail, 3dot sight, skeletonized trigger and hammer, stainless steel). I have used them in 4 different handgun classes with 5 to 600 rounds each class. I have not had any problems with either of them. maybe you just got a bad one. clean the new one real good before shooting it, that may help. As a side not, I have had a multi fire situation with another 1911 in the past, however, it was my shooting technique that caused the problem ( pressed the trigger more that once).
  2. Thanks Guys, I was afraid I was going to guff it up, but they all shoot great with great accuracy. Mike thanks for posting the picture
  3. First AR and 1911 builds       http://i1344.photobucket.com/albums/p643/joeleerj/DSCF0307_zpse440c3e8.jpg
  4. Thanks, I have put 1 mag throught it , prior to installing sight, just to test function. It shot very smooth, with very mild recoil. I will check accuracy this weekend, since The sight are now installed. I will post the results.
  5. Update on the build http://www.flickr.com/photos/organize/ See First post.At top of page,
  6. I haven't posted for a while. I've been very busy. However, while I was away, I decided to try my hand at building a match grade 1911. I decided to start with a forged frame and slide fron Rmsport. See them @ DSCF0036 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! I haved order a Kart Barrel, Wilson Combat beavertail grip safety, and Ed Brown slide stop, thumb safety and internals. I will post pictures as I go. Complete build, minus the final finish, I'm thinking Brownells bake on finish, What do you think?
  7. Great looking Mare's Leg! Even if it's not a J.B. Custom.
  8. I'm sure I will feel his presence whenever I use one.
  9. Greg, you a probably right I should have graciously accepted, but knowing her, she will more than likley, use the money to help someone else. That's how she is. I also like the 375. I don't know what I will use it for, maybe I'll save for a big game hunt in Alaska. I have always wanted too.
  10. Thanks, he and I have done a lot of hunting over the years. As a matter of fact he took me on my first hunting trip. I will miss him, and cherish his gun collection. He was sort of a father figure for me. He was 78 when he died, his wife is about 10years younger.
  11. Believe it or not, this s the very first 10/22 I have ever owned.
  12. A friend whos' husband died 3 months ago, gave me all of his guns. She said that she knew how much I like guns, and wanted to do something nice for me. She wanted to give them to me for free, but I finally talked her into taking $800, she wouldn't take anymore than that. Take a look. DSCF0034 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! I promised to take her to the range and sign her up for some classes at Range Master, here in Memphis.
  13. Yea, I've got the 1911 bug also.
  14. Thanks. I agree the the case is not all that great, but for $550.00, it's not a concern. I have replaced the main spring housing to an arched type, and I will soon have the front strap checkered. That's all I plan to do to this gun. Since my last post, I have put another 400 rounds through it, with not jams or misfeeds. I think Remington got this one right.
