  1. Sounds like a better weekend than I had....I was working.
  2.   Details...I say details?????  How was the class ?
  3. Tom runs excellent training classes.  If you suck at something he says so , not to run anyone down but to let them know so they can improve.  It is all handled in a professional way and his courses are one of the better deals in training classes.  $225 is not bad for what is offered.
  4. Things may have changed since the late 90s but at that time it "WAS NOT" legal to sell a home built receiver regardless of the intention of the maker at the time it was made.  The only legal way to transfer the receiver without a serial number was to leave it to someone in your will.  If you wanted to sell it then you had to do the paperwork with the BATF and have a serial number issued for the receiver.   I have not checked on this is quite a few years so I may be outdated on my info.
  5. They are still looking for a location from what I understand.
  6. ANY factory installed compartment is now legal for handguns , console or anywhere else the factory puts one.
  7. Rubio supports firearms registration , nothing else needed to be known about him.  He is not worth supporting.
  8. I have been through fighting pistol at Tactical Response and two handgun classes with Randy Harris in Chattanooga , I would pick Randy out of those two choices.    The one mentioned in Alabama with Tiger McKee I have not been to but only read his book. His training comes from Clint Smith at Thunder Ranch and he is probably a solid choice.
  9. I have been there for Fighting Pistol and AR armorer by Cav Arms.   It was OK and I am not saying it was a waste of money or anything like that but I have been to others I felt was better training.
  10. I bought a mid length 16 inch flat top 6.8 upper at Knob Creek for $450 from Rock River , only thing it needed was a rear sight to be ready to go on one of my lowers.
  11. I have seen a Mini-14 make it through a Gunsite carbine course. It was years ago and the instructors were surprised the shooter did as well as he did with it.
