  1. I have carried Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network coverage for several years. It expired last week and have been looking at other providers. If you do the math they are all making big money off this type of coverage which is normal for any insurance these days I guess. The USCCA seems to have some extras such as the magazine and such. The ACLDN is $95 a year for renewals.
  2. The P series Ruger was Yeager's first pistol. I usually do not admit to having gone to Camden in a public environment but I think I remember him saying he started with a P series Ruger. Have one friend ( No , not Yeager ) that shot one of these years ago. It always worked and really nothing to complain about if you like DA/SA pistols
  3. I have one of the sight tools for the MP pistol. Bought it used and it is a MGW if I remember right. Does not work on the 5 inch slide front sight. Dawson sells aluminum drivers for dovetail sights and these work as well or better than a sight pusher if you have a way to hold the slide ( vise ).

  5. What is the current "go to" shotgun ? I sold all of mine except an 870 during one of the gun panics a few years ago. My Dad has the 870 so I will need another to make a class. This is an off weekend from work.
  6. Shoot them both if possible , only way for you to know. I prefer the S&W and have never fired a SIG I liked. Never have seen what the big deal is about SIG that some people see.

    M&P 2.0

Picked up one of the 2.0 M&Ps today in .40 and a 5 inch slide. Initial impressions are out of the box it is a nicer pistol and the changes are thought out well. BUT it is probably offers little that a well set up original design does not offer. If your 1st design already has an Apex trigger and stippling , etc. then do not loose any sleep over not having the latest version. You are not giving up anything to someone with a 2.0 model. My interest in the 2.0 is for a thumb safety on a 5 inch slide model. Before the 2.0 I had to buy 2 pistols and make my own 5 inch thumb safety model and then I ended up with a 4.25 I did not really use. I used the 4.25s to arm up with women folk in the family come Christmas time.
  9. Stopped by an Academy Sports this afternoon and they had 200 round boxes of Winchester white box .40 for 56 bucks. I carried a couple of them home with me.

  12. I have read some of them , it is their choice to vote as they wish. Everyone will pay the price but it is their choice. Anyone else notice that many of those crying " I won't vote for the lesser of two evils !!!!! " had no issue voting for McCain or Romney ?
  13. "The smallest minority is the individual " Ayn Rand I don't like Trump but to stay home and not try to vote him in over hillary is shall we say a little stupid.
  14. No Sir , just happened to find it.
  15. I have carried Glocks , M&Ps and 1911s in 5 inch / 4.25 / 3.5 barrels. Calibers were / are 45acp , 10mm , .40 and 357 sig If the firearm is reliable and accurate enough the rest is just fluff. How much you practice has far more of an impact than the fluff. http://vintagepistols.com/40isbad.html
  16. I have yet to jump on the red dot train but would like to try one out. I am way behind the times , even have just irons on my rifles.
  17. I have seen that failure once before , it does happen.
  18. "The Greatest Generation" title was earned and deserved. I don't think most people today realize the size and scope of WW2. Today's military actions are a drop in the bucket compared WW2.

  20. The 550 is pretty simple , had a Square Deal B before that when I only loaded 45acp.  Just depends on what you are going to load , how many rounds , pistol or rifle or both ?
  21.   "they saw as"   That is because they were an invading army.   That reminds me...I need to order more food  , ammo and sign up for a couple more classes.
  22.   Have you ever considered moving closer to the middle Ky area ?  We need a training weekend like this every month around here.
  23. Looks like a good time.  Eastern Tenn. is some nice country.
  24. I will be here Saturday   http://aimperfect.com/events/2015/5/30/surviving-lethal-encounters-workshop   but do plan to make a shoot or two this year. Moved to Bowling Green early this year and have not found everything yet.
