doing the math you would only need another 100 fps to reach minimum power factor. Typically in the 9mm carbines you see in increase of a little over 200 fps so you should be GTG as far as getting your target velocity. Whether or not its a good choice for 3 gun comp, others will have to answer. Outside of competition, PCC's do have some advantages. mainly they tend to be light and very fast on target. Increased versitility from sharing rounds, even more so if you can share magazines.

I molded my own, Mainly just because i wanted the extra kydex. When you get the nonmolded kit theres an option to get a larger peice of kydex

The first one is a holster made for my Walther PPS using a kit from oldfaithfulholsters.com. I really liked this kit, easy to assemble, good quality, and so far extreamly comfortable. http://i987.photobucket.com/albums/ae357/cwillard1983/2012-02-20_06-18-53_594.jpg The next one is an ankle holster i made, i had a hard time finding one i really liked online, so i said screw it and went ahead and made my own. The ankle wrap around is from a set of ankle weights i had laying around and the straps are from extra cat tourniqutes i had also laying around, im realizing i have a lot of stuff laying around. So far i like it, holds secureone its straped on, reholstering is a little difficult, i may add a small strip of kydex to the inside top to help keep it open when the weapons drawn. http://i987.photobucket.com/albums/ae357/cwillard1983/2012-02-20_06-18-11_108.jpg

As Dave said the 12-15 rounds per minute, comes from the Army TM, that 12-15 rounds is supposed to be what the rifle can do indefinately, ie you could fire 3000 rounds at a rate of 12-15 per minute without inducing enough heat to cause a catastrophic failure. I wouldnt worry about overheating much unless your planning on doing several consecutive mag dumps.

I think their low mount should allow for absolute co-witness for the non fixed base model, there fixed base model lets you pick when ordering and tells you in the descriptions

Im just saying for all the people out there saying AD's can't happen, ive seen rounds unintentionally discharged with no shooter error, i would call that an AD. Others may not to each their own i guess. Either way this guy was about as negliigent as is possible.
-
Also just my 2 cents, but AD's do happen to not just ND's. A malfunction of the shooter is a ND a malfunction of the weapon is a AD. For example a runaway gun is multiple AD's.

Magazine disconnects are already required in new guns manufactured after 2006 in california, I think weapons designed prior to this and still in production are exempted but realatively new designs such as the M&P require it to be legal for sale in CA. That is probably why so many manufacturers now have models with mag disconnects, come to think of it i think they have a law against ND's to. Oh i got an idea lets become like California because there laws have solved the stupid problem (Heavy amounts of sarcasm)

For me it was individuality, i like to have my stuff just a little different from everyone elses. Others may want it for asthetics. Or they phylosophy answer why not -

I used automotive touch up paint on my carry gun, seems to be holding up pretty good for now. Fill it in, let dry for about 10-15 minutes then wipe lightly with a cloth dampened with just a little bit of nailpolish remover. Heres a link to the thread i posted after i did it. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/43228-tactical-arts-and-crafts/page__hl__%2Btactical+%2Barts+%2Band+%2Bcrafts__fromsearch__1 -
How long is your certificate good for.
c.a.willard replied to lowery100's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
If he doesnt make it back in time he can also be exempted from the class if he can show that he has received handgun training through the military. Usually a memo from his command will work. -
6.8 I dont believe that i have an idividual responsibilty for them, i do however beleive that we all have a responsibility towards our fellow man. Thats what makes us a civilized society, take away feelingsw of responsibilty towards others and you have anarcy. Also you are assuming that i want to pay for their misdeeds, since when did seeking out birth control become a misdeed, Im not saying i agree with Obamacare or him as an idividual or politician. What i am saying is that these women are being denied medical options that they should not be. If i told you tthat you were at a high risk for contracting a parasite. One that would make you ill for several months and limit your ability to work. Then told you hey theres a proven treatment from preventing you from catching this parasite, but we choose not to cover that with our health care plan. What would you think then. Im not advocating Abortion, i am advocating a womans right to say what is right for her body and choose her own methods for preventing pregnancy. I reiterate, these are not women whom are completely dependant on the government, these are women who are employed paying insurance premiums and being denied basic preventive medicine. You see this about being about obama, i see it as being about the women in the article. As far as constitutionality of the crap hes done and tried to do, i agree I think obama has over reached and should be impeached. I also thought that bush over reached and should have been impeached. And just FYI ive read alot of the Obamacare legislation most of it is actually likely to reduce tax dollars spent on it in the long run (as much as i hate to say that). If i see you bleeding on the side of the road am i morally obligated to stop and help you even if this would cost me time or money. I say yes, you may say no now. However when you truely need the help i think you would want it available

I dont see trying to have access to birth control as irresponsible, i see it as very responsible. What i dont think is likely is that those without it would remain abstinant. Thats just not going to happen we all know it, some of us just cant admit it. To have sex is a natural animalistic urge, one that we are hardwired to have difficulty fighting. Young men and women wont stop having sex just because they dont have access to birth control. Welfare is a bailout, helping to provide birth control is preventative to the bailing out that we all want to avoid. And this artical is not talking about people that have absolutely no health coverage its talking about people whose private health insurance has chosen to deny birth control. So i see responsible working women who already pay into health insurance, more than likely without this fact being disclosed up front, wanting an alternate source and the freedom to choose their own methods of contraception.

Ill take the lesser of two evils, if they cant afford birth controll they cant afford a child. Id rather pay for the Birth Control than spend my tax money helping someone else with a child they probably shouldnt of had. Healthcare in this country is seriously messed up and prohibitively expensive even with private insurance. I consider birth control preventative medicine is almost always cheaper than treating afterwards. The cost of Birth control over a womans entire reproductive lifetime is probably less than the cost of a hospital birth. You realistically only have a few choices with birth control without being hypocritical. Either force insurance providers to cover it, Cover it with government funds, or allow slightly private organizations like Planned parrenthood to cover it. I say slightly more private organizations as i do realise they receive some government funding.

DHS report on Domestic Terrorism
c.a.willard replied to MattCary's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
the threatened or actual use of illegal force by non-state actors, in order to attain a political, economic, religious or social goal, through fear, coercion or intimidation So alot of Fringe "organizations" would fit into that catagory. Any violent extreamest act could fall into that, for example any of the anti abortion violence that has happened. Alot of firebombings from several organizations in the 70's and 80's probably fall into this category. They probably even count that guy back in 2010 that flew a small plan into a government building and killed an IRS agent. -

Of course it had to be on a day i was off work, managed to make it through thanks to youtube. I'm definately looking foward to the dark background. @VOLZFAN, sorry to here that. -
My Walther PPS seems do do fine for PC for now, especially if you wear pants with a little bit more pocket space. Its a tad big for most of me jeans but fits good in my 5-11's. It will be going to the anke as soon as my kydex gets here and i make a ankle holster for it. Had a PF9 for a while as a pocket gun, ended up giving it to my little sister. Worked really good for pocket carry, not the kind of gun you want to shoot a couple hundred rounds of in a day, but was reliable and comfortable to carry and comfortable enough to shoot for the first few magazines.

Yes im at Campbell. Been lucky to be stationed here for as long as i have. TN actually grew on me so much that when my contracts up this time im getting out and staying here. I think i can design the holster to adjust for the little bit of space that i save on the 6 round mag, well have to see. Ordered the old faithful holster kit today and some extra kydex, so i can make an IWB for it and try my hand at making an ankle rig. I'll try to remember to do some step by steps and post them on here when im done. Im not worried about the longer extensions with the IWB mainly just how small can i get the grip for the ankle.

Picked up a new PPS in 9mm this weekend, was going to go buy a M&P sc but the PPS decided it wanted to go home with me instead. I plan to rotate it between my primary carry and my BUG. Ive been looking at the 6 round flush fit mags for a little more concealment in the ankle rig but they seem really high priced 45 dollars per mag. Anyone know where i can find them for a good price or is this going to just have to be one of those pay once cry once situations. Also havnt been able to find an ankle rig for it that i really like so any suggestions there are welcome if not it looks like i may be ordering some kydex and nylon and making my own.

I wasn't attacking your way of handling the situation. Ive treated wounded enemy combatants before i don't see it as being that very different. You can prioritize things however you wish but watching people die in front of you isn't a whole lot of fun.

A; the more blood i can stop now the less i have to clean up later. In all honesty though id really rather they guy not die i'm more concerned about the immediate threat once there is no threat i see no reason not to try to save him. Although I wouldn't loose any sleep if the guy died.
