  1. i could probably be talked into trading my 9mm PPS, whatcha got
  2. M&P9 full size in a MTAC with spare mag, walther PPS in home made ankle holster with spare mag, M&P knife, Gerber multitool, RA light EDC Flashlight (sometimes augmented with a surefire)
  3. Im in the MP BN, technically we fall under sustainment but i refuse to acknowledge there existance. Didnt get very many rounds today unfortunately so i only got to fire it mounted to an m4 and not in the standalone configuration. Mounted its suprisingly light recoil really not much over what the 556 round generates. Not the biggest fan of the straight pull back bolt, its a little akward to run it mounted. Did a good bit of dry fire in its standalone configuration, got pretty quick with chambering the next round. Buddy of mine shot it in the standalone, said the recoil was way less than expected. Similar in recoil to some of the semi auto shotguns (his words). Thats probably due to the hydrolic buffer in the buttstock of the standalone system. they only came with 3 and 5 round magazines, but the mags look very similar to the saiga mags so im gonna have to go out and get one to see if they fit it. If they do im pretty sure we can talk our commander into ordering a bunch of the 10 rounders for use in the standalone systems. None of us want that much bulk hanging off our M4's so they probably wont be used in the ones we have mounted. I like the breaching tip (Flash hider looking ish thing on the front) gives you pretty much perfect standoff distance for ballistic breaching. So far i like it, not so sure that it was really that significant of an improvement over the older master key system, but it is lighter and magazine fed/higher capacity. Master key system if i remember right was limited to 3 rounds in the tube.
  4. two hours and 17 minutes
  5. We just got in a batch of M26 underbarrel shotguns into our arms room. As an attached system its eh ok, good breaching tool so that the breacher has their rifle right there ready to fight but so far i think i like it alot more as a standalone system. Some days my jobs annoying as hell other days i get to play with awesome new toys that civilians never get to fondle. Just something about a 3inch barrel 12 guage with an OAL of 24 inches (Collapsed) that you gotta love. Were supposed to have a range day for them of Friday hopefully i get the chance to make it out there and am not tasked with things that prevent my enjoyment of this weapon system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M26_Modular_Accessory_Shotgun_System
  6. Id say in the process of clearing his house he probably was under duress, you will revert back to you basic level of training in situations like that. What you dont do well in situations like that is remember small motor functions like taking off the safety right before shooting. once you see a threat you become threat focused and are likely to forget the safety all together. Not saying the people you received training from are wrong, they just do things different. Id be more worried about my weapon being on safe in a shoot situation
  7. I dont know about one that could mount in the gas block like that, but there are several out there that can be mounted to the standard hand guards. http://www.harrisbipods.com/HB5.html
  8. I dont see how scooping up your kid could possibly offer more protection than standing in front of them. If the dog attacks your gonna want both your hands and arms free to protect your vitals. If the dog is attacking you then your child is safe. if your holding your kid and the dog attacks both of you are likely to be injured. You done good. But this makes me miss the days when i was growing up and everyones dogs would run free with zero issues. Like a previous person said id probbaly try and stop the dog, unless it looked noticably aggresive.

    SW M&P9's

I love my M&P9 great gun, Im probably going out to montgomery county shooting complex this saturday, your more than welcome to shoot mine if you want to come out.
  10. In the comic shes michonne, the two zombies used to be her boyfriend and his best friend. (Capbyrd beat me to it)
  11. Thats a $#!^ ton of walkers, time for some dying
  12. Someone should make that movie as a parady to all zombie movies, id watch it
  13. I dont necessarily agree with grabbing the M2, not easily man portable and prone to failure if the operater doesnt know what there doing. But to leave the light machine guns was one of the dumbest things ive ever seen. A good gunner and a single 240 placed on top the farm could kill the whole horde with no loss of life, but nooo lets walk around with our handguns and knives for head shots on zombies give me a rifle anyday.
  14. 50 walkers 11 adults, less than 5 head shots each and there home free. Man about now id be regretting leaving those M-4 and machine guns back at the CDC.
  15. Have you considered a quality two point sling. I use a padded Viking VTAC myslef, like it better than any three point ive tried so far. I also have a non padded VTAC branded under 511, that i dont like quite as much but its still a quality sling. More than anything i like the ability to quickly adjust tension, especially being able to just tighten it all the way when i need to go hands on.
  16. Doesnt make much sense to me to still be keeping it a secret, how do you expect to get preorder sales of a product that no one knows exists. I understand not letting it out when its in R&D but when your a month out from release youd think that you should tell people what the product is.
  17. Great episode. All i can say is its about time
  18. I wouldnt say we never impose the death penalty anymore, its just rare. Hasan Akbar was the most recent sentenced (Still in apeals). Nidal Hasan is also a good candidate to be sentenced to death. It definately isnt swift, but it does happen
  19. It does kind of bother me that the guy is a SSG (if the reportings accurate). TMF's dead on, every organization is bound to have a few crazy folks. It is what it is
  20. Not much we can say on here that you havent probably found elsewhere already, but the 17 HMR is a effective small game round and good fun for a day at the range. Should be able to punch nice tight groups with that marlin. Yes it can kill larger game, although i agree with the above post that it is unsporting to hunt larger game with a caliber that small. In the end accuracy counts its very common for these rifles to shoot sub moa, making hits on vital areas easily doable even in larger game. That being said a deer can still run a good ways and a round this small isnt going to give you much of a blood trail to follow. Basically id be comfortable taking beaver size game and smaller with it; anything larger and you better be willing to track it for a while.
  21. Kinda disapointed in tonights episode.
  22. Black panthers in the US arent unheard of and there have been confirmed reports. Most of which are beleived to be the result of people illegally owing them as pets. Also jaguars are still native to some of the more southern regions of the US and it isnt impossible for a few to have migrated up this far (although highly unlikely), back in the late 1700s jaguars were fairly common in america and were as far north east as Pensylvania. The most recent confirmed jaguar sigtings i think were all from Arizona. Again if it is real its probably an escaped illegal pet, but there is the possibility that it is real.
  23. I have the MOE edition, love it great rifle
  24. NTAC and Raven Concelement come to mind. I dont own either, but i dont think ive ever heard anything bad about them
  25. Tonights episode, amazing. Gotta say for second i thought rick was gonna do it. I want say what so i dont spoil it for those that havent seen it yet.
