  1. Tennessee Uniform Residential Landlord Tenant Act Law - Landlord and Tenant - Landlord Tenant JTBH, I'm not entirely sure of what all the laws are regarding everything as that's not what I do. What I do know is if something is left behind after a move, it is considered trash and gets thrown out. If the former tenant later decides something of value to them was left behind, they can file a civil suit to reclaim. It's then up to a judge to determine the legitimacy of their claim. The above story is about a tee'd off tenant looking for money and trying to sue over trash. The judge recognized it for what it was. That could happen with anything thrown out from a couch to a piece of paper left laying in the floor. If something is thought to be of value (maybe they accidentally left something) then the former tenant is contacted and told to pick up their crap. I'm not sure what the time limit is on holding property. I do know that holding every piece of trash left behind is not financially possible.
  2. Umm...Google "Uniform Disposition of Unclaimed Property." and enjoy
  3. Today was my Dad's court date on a civil suit filed against him from one of his former tenants. Tha story... When the former tenant moved out of the house he was renting, he left a whole slue of junk behind. Included in the junk was a Goodwill living room set that the guy got for free out of Goodwill's dumpster. Yeah, Goodwill didn't even want that piece of ****! (We know this because the maintence men helped carry the POS in his house) When my Dad went through the guy's house he ordered the maintenance men to throw out the wreck he called a couch...along with everything else left behind. After seeing the condition of the house, he called the former tenant to tell him that he would not be receiving his deposit back due to the condition he left the house in. The former tenant got ticked off and later decided to file suit for the price of the POS couch that dad threw out. Skip ahead to today... they are in court and the former tenant claims the "couch" was worth $800 and believes that he is entitled to the money for loosing thus said "couch". Now, my dad did not know how much he was being sued for (long story) so this amount came as a bit of a shock! But, being quick on his feet, he said, "well, the carpet that his dogs ruined is also valued at $800....so wouldn't we be even?" The judge agreed Tomorrow awaits another frivolous suit....

  11. Without saying what everyone else has said in this thread about the alleged events..... It sounds like this guy has watched Red Dawn one too many times! With his statement about fighting to protect police and that amount of ammo, he is definitively off his rocker!

  13. They will also knock sewage off of your bill if you tell them you've had a busted pipe
  14. Yeah, what Jack said. My master bath toilet runs and my bill never exceeds 20. You've got a busted pipe.
  15. Week! I think I used that insult in 1995 But for what it's worth, I'd gladly take a Zima over an Old 7
  16. So it takes two frogs to get the taste of that **** out of your mouth? Hmm... I'll have to remember that!
  17. Right. Bulges. Not a banana peel. With the muzzle completely obstructed the pressures are going to reach it's max well before the muzzle. The bore will bulge, maybe even tear, but it would be impossible to banana peel. Add to that the riffling of the bore being spiral causing the week points throughout the bore to follow the cut of the riffling. That creates less then optimal conditions for a banana peel.

  22. I have a Russian gas mask that got ripped this morning. The rubber part that wraps around your face is what actually ripped. Does anyone sell just that rubber part? Anybody know??? I'll post an actual pic of the rip if anyone needs to see it
  23. I kinda like the sign. JTBH, I think a lot of the stuff against it is just internet myth. When you think about it, we all know(or know of) some crazy old guy with signs like that plastered along his driveway....but we never hear of him having problems with break-ins

    Ticket Scalping

Kinda like that guy who bought up every box of ammo at WalMart to resale at shows during the ammo shortage We can call these people 'free market entrepreneurs' all you want. Myself and everyone else in America will keep calling them douches
  25. I'm a hat person and I have two spares I keep in my truck. One is there for me to use if I know I'm gonna be sweating as I don't want my good hat to get stained. The other spare is my 'cool hat'. It's kinda like the cool side of a pillow. There's no better feeling then to change into a cooler hat in the middle of summer
