Got about 12 inches at home (outskirts of e.brainerd) and here at dad's (NW.GA). Some spots thicker, some lighter. Have some light but steady flurries at the moment. Interstates are clear for the most part. Just looked at TDOT's cameras for downtown Nooga' and all looks pretty safe down that way. Might have to venture down that way in a bit to see what trouble I can get myself into

Umm... you do not get charged a dollar a month. GB charges your credit card 1 dollar for verification. Gb then gives you a 1 dollar credit on their site to make-up for the CC charge. That credit will remain on your GB account until you sell something through them. It is not a 1 dollar monthly charge on your CC. It is a 1 dollar credit in your GB account. I repeat, it is not a 1 dollar charge on your CC. It is a 1 dollar credit in your GB account.

Just saw footage of the new 'Chattanooga car' on the local teevee but have yet to see any pics online yet. It's officially being unveiled on Monday. Read more

I have a Hawg 9. Not exactly the model you're asking about.... but it is a 9mm 1911 and no one else has responded It shot well the few mags I put through it a few weeks ago. Had a couple of extraction hiccups. I haven't shot it anymore so I'm not sure if it was ammo related or just the 'new gun blues' of break-in. It could have also been from limp wristing as those were from someone else shooting it. I didn't have any problems while I was personally shooting it. Other then that couple, I was very pleased with the gun.

I toyed with building a light box but quickly found the idea too limiting. Instead I use cycloramas. Lighting can be changed as needed and you can add paper if the item is larger then your cyc wall. I've shot some pretty large items like this. (f 8 1/200 iso100) (don't judge me by that pic as my lighting is way off.it's just to show size)

Yes! Plenty of beer and cigarettes left. I'll be warm and calm while you have your bread pudding

Hooters the Test. No pictures of birds this times I swear
strickj replied to vontar's topic in General Chat
Hooters and WalMart are two places that people love to hate... for some reason. Personally, I love them both To answer the question, yes, I will continue to go there. Same answer I gave two years ago, I may add. NARF! -
It is impossible to out draw an already drawn gun. However, it is not impossible to out shoot an already drawn gun. Pick one... YouTube - gun owner returns fire at robbers

SOB holster either positioned at 5-6 o'clock or at 3 o'clock. At 3 o'clock it's perfectly angled for easy draw. Of coarse that's probably useless to you since you're in a drug store chair.... in which case I would just click a cheap Uncle Mikes holster on the inside of the arm rest. Fanny packs just irritate me, but they do work for some. Problem is it takes such a big effin' fanny pack to conceal even a small gun.

1911 mags not dropping with slide locked back
strickj replied to strickj's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Ok, while inserting\removing the mag; pulling the trigger does not ease the resistance. Pressing the mag release does ease the resistance but just slightly. Pressing the mag release and pulling the trigger together removes all resistance. Should also note that this trigger is not new. I've put roughly 1000 rounds through it. Not sure how many were fired by the first owner. -
1911 mags not dropping with slide locked back
strickj replied to strickj's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Thanks! It will not release with just the trigger being pressed. The trigger has to be pressed while the mag release is being pressed. While inserting mags I can feel a slight resistance when the mag reaches the trigger. Is it possible to lightly file the trigger down in that area without affecting strength? -
That thing is bad-ass! With KT, it will be 'sometime next year'. In reality, it will probably be "released" in 3 years. After that, it will then be another 3-5 years before they're readily available on shelves.

A recent post has me scratching me noggin. What is the intended purpose of reloading while still engaging targets? I see this on COFs for matches and on teevee gun shows... but I've never seen an explanation of why it's done. Seems to me, the absolute last thing to do while you still have active targets is to stop and reload. Not to add you're left with multiple mags with unknown amounts of ammo in them I am not talking about sticking a fresh mag in after the targets are naturalized 'just in case'. That one is pretty self explanatory.

This gun has always done this but it's never really bother me that much. But, it's raining, and I'm board so I might just fix it today if I can get some answers. The symptoms: Empty mags will not drop freely when the slide is locked back. Empty mags will drop freely when the slide is forward. Now, if I pull the trigger and press the mag release in combination together, then the mags will drop. Brand of mags do not matter. It does it on all of them. Not sure if this matters, but there are a few upgrades including an Ed Brown hardcore slide stop, 22 lb. Wolff spring kit, and a Fusion adjustable trigger. I've searched Google but am only finding stuff like 'grip screws are too long'. Any ideas?

Goat dick and bull balls. This thread delivers! What it delivers is unsure at the moment Edit; I'm trying my darnedest to come up with something I've eaten that is taboo... maybe that flea market hamburger but that doesn't really fit into the topic, really.

The slide is cut and contoured different, the barrel is different, different grip, different back strap area(where the web of your hand goes), trigger guard is different, controls are different, frame is smaller and better contoured...

Yes, the p3at looks kinda like a LCP. But a PF9? I'm just not seeing it
-
Yup.. I see these things selling like hot cakes once released. Can't wait to see the actual selling price (and the over inflated GB price until hype ends:rolleyes: ) Really? Just looks like an LCP to me
-
It's MSRP is half of the PM9. Hell, for that same price you could almost get a used PM9. With that, I think I'd nix that one extra round and opt for the smaller size
-
Are you being serious with this?
-
Have you ever seen one that didn't sell ammo? I thought that was a given. Next time I'll try and be more specific. Lets see, they don't sell guns, gun safes, 10-22 mags, arrow heads. They do sell ammo, Rem oil, patches, targets. Did I leave anything out? I'm sure I'll hear about it if I did... Oh, and I did ask...

Whoops.... sorry about that I actually didn't mean to do that. Sometimes my stylus pen will over highlight when copy\pasting

Well, I didn't say the crime itself was to blame. Maybe it's the lower income of higher crime areas. Maybe it's the added cost of extra TICS denials(you know, that's time spent by an employee working for no reason instead of loafing). It's just what I've heard
