  1. I have used and seriously abused Fobus holsters since I started carrying. I can tell you, without any doubt, that video does not represent their holsters. I have had guns get caught in the door jam of my truck, seats, wheel of chair, and even got one caught in the cup holder of a movie theater seat once. The muzzle actually found it's way into the cup holder when I plopped down. You're looking at 200 lbs of sexy mass being completely suspended in the air by nothing more then a Fobus holster. Tell me how my Fobus holsters can withstand 200 lbs of force without breaking but the one in the video gets snapped off like a twig?
  2. Bumping this to the top for Sunday's race. Anyone know what time they start?
  3. You can not look at the latter actions to determine guilt. You may handle death by mourning and crying. But, some may kill themselves. Others may celebrate the life of the lost and never shed a single tear. Some may turn to work or hobbies to keep their minds active. Some may turn to alcohol to deaden the pain. There are as many ways to handle death as there are personalities. And they're all completely normal. Looks like she turned to the company of friends and alcohol to get through it. I have done the same thing (minus the club\bar). And that's normal, too. The only thing making it seem "just not right" is the media. Casey is simply young and beautiful. Her daughter was simply the cutest little girl ever. That's a combination for excellent ratings when you throw in the concept of murder. If we're going to start convicting people for drinking and getting a tattoo after the death of a loved one, then I should be locked up, too.
  4. Fobus is the Hi Point of holsters in terms of quality and gun board cred. Sure, there are better alternatives but they work. None of that matters much, though, as you'll be laughed off the face if the board for owning one
  5. Thanks, David. Bring that purty new Raptor down sometime and we'll do something special with her Frequency separation was used on both for texture (Barbie doll skin) and shadow smoothing. The second one is properly exposed at their faces (light meter). Any slower and that door and the windows would have been over exposed. It was darkened a bit in post due to the treatments\desat (going for a dated\rough look). It is underexposed at their feet, though. Had two light stands get blown over in the storm destroying two modifiers, one trigger and one strobe... Gonna have to redo the first. Left a bra strap and some bird poo
  6. People are not supposed to drink on family holidays (and sundays), you bunch of sinners. Shame, shame
  7. Warning: Post contains pics of girls holding guns. Nothing racy, but If your boss is looking over your shoulder and would get offended, then hit the back button..... What would the 4th be without some gun play
  8. Now I can access the 2nd page and see that ll duce is poster number 11.
  9. Very weird. As of right now, this thread has 10 posts, with oh shoot being the last poster, but shows there is a second page which is inaccessible. Even weirder is it shows 9 posts on the main page with ll duce as the last poster.
  10. how does that work?
  11. Ever thought about hiring a good IT guy to run things?
  12. As expected, the aclu has filled suit to stop this attack on the 1st. ACLU to file suit over Tennessee law targeting online harassment » Knoxville News Sentinel "NASHVILLE - The Tennessee chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union announced Tuesday that it will file a court challenge to a new state law that makesharassment via the Internet a crime. "This new law creates a chilling effect on expressive political, artistic, and otherwise lawful speech and also turns political activists, artists and others into criminals," said Hedy Weinberg, executive director of the ACLU in Tennessee, in a statement."
  13. I like the looks of the forward assist and dust cover. I don't think either one are ever gonna be needed unless you find yourself in the desert
  14. Welcome
  15. it would have been much cooler if you titled the thread "Walgreens' manager roasts nuts".
  16. Chattanooga has had a problem with "flash mobs" for years. Although they have gone unreported and un-aired on the news. Some, including the mayor, claim that it's an internet thing. Most likely because of the flash mobs that meet up to dance or some such. But I started to notice them back when texting took off. Which makes since, since all it takes to localize 100s of people is to send one text to an entire phonebook. I found myself in the middle of one about 10 years ago. Stopped for gas at the Conoco by the Comedy Catch one night, when from out of no where, came at least 100 teens in countless cars. They filled the parking lot, trapping my car in there, and turned the 5 lane road into a parking lot. It scared the hell out of me. Recently, there have been two shootings in Chattanooga that were contributed to "flash mobs". Both in Coolidge Park. I think these two are the only ones I've ever heard about in the media.
  17. This is funny because it's true! Just today I told two girls how to get to the Battlefield. "From 75, take the 2A exit", I said. "From there, continue on until you get to Lafayette Rd and turn left." "Ya can't miss it... it's a big intersection". "Then just stay on THAT road and you'll see me." This takes all of 10 minutes from where they were and involves ONE turn, folks! One simple left turn. About two hours later they called from somewhere in Lafayette.
  18. Are you a stripper? I see a lot of pink frilly stuff in there
  19. Err... Scratch that. I was thinking of miller park for some reason, which is a city park. I have no idea if the plaza is posted too. Sorry for the mix up
  20. Yup, you're right. Google does provethat. That same google also proves that all gun owners are either dangerous thugs or crazy gov conspiracy wackos
  21. Why take the cop's word for that when you won't for the sidewalk comment? Maybe she left the porch where the group was. Maybe the group were on the other side of a fence. Maybe the cop uses "guys" as a generic term like I commonly do with "y'all" and "couple". Why try to argue that she was not arrested for standing 10 feet behind the officers? Again, see the Tueller rule. Anyone within 21 feet can pose a threat. Especially when they make, and this is from the horses mouth, "anti police comments when we pull up". And why keep arguing that she was in her yard? Right from the horses mouth: you're on the sidewalk". Not that where she technically was has any relevancy here. She was 10 feet behind the cops. That posses a threat to them. Maybe the cops were done and were leaving. I don't know. The camera cut off. Maybe they were minding their own damned business and not yelling things at them. I'm watching the same one you are in the OP. The one where a woman is standing alone 10-15 feet behind some cops in the dark.
  22. 10-15 feet is not that far. See the Tueller rule. her other arrest was downed to that charge. She was on bank property (the foreclosed home) and stopping the movers from entering the property. She was not attested for "doing nothing"
  23. Daniel, let me get this straight. You spent a month with a cop that said anyone could be arrested with a false report.... so that means that Good's arrest was based on a false report? And I really don't care what the woman with her said. Friends lie to keeps their friends out of trouble all the time. She wouldn't be much of a friend if she didn't slant her story in Good's favor... or forget and leave out the comments made before the video started. She was arrested for not leaving the scene. She was given multiple chances to leave. I know when the others showed up because they were not in the video until Good was arrested. They were pretty vocal once there, were they not? Don't ya think that if they were there the entire time that they would have been seen or heard? The cops were out numbered because the group was within distance of them. They arrived pretty quickly once they saw the cuffs come out so that's pretty obvious. But they were not standing next to Good or or behind the cops, which is why they were not contacted. I made the race\neighborhood\lonely guy comparison simply for the comparison of fear amongst haters. I could have just as easily made a comparison to a biker taking a crotch rocket to a Harley rally.
  24. the other people didn't make an appearance until she was arrested. The attention was on her for her comments before she started recording. For all we know, she could have said "**** the police" or some other such fear inducing comment. A comment such as that would be enough to make anyone uneasy. For instance, would a white guy get scared in a black neighborhood if someone yelled "**** you white boy"? Or would a black guy get scared if in a white neighborhood and someone yelled "**** you black boy"? Of coarse they would because the hate is obvious and they're out numbered. Right? Same scenario here. The hate for cops was obvious, they were out numbered and all of the sudden a woman appears right behind them. As been said, she would have been arrested, video recorder or not. If it was about the video recorder then it would have been confiscated. . or at the very least you would have heard the usual "don't record me". Wait, am I in the right thread this time?
