  1. You trying to call me out here? Kal is actually from atl, only his studio is in Chatt (The Studio on E.brainerd). I'm quite sure there is more then one team photographer. Thus the reason I put the word "the" in quotation marks above. I know he shoots for the Titans, the NBA and JC Penney ( catalogs, ads, etc) and I'm thinking sears. Google "Kalphoto" if ya don't believe me... My point above was simply to not get hopes up. Thousands of photographers apply for these cool jobs... and it takes a bit more then just knowing someone that knows someone.
  2. I've said it before, I'll say it again. I could care less if global warming is real or bogus. Fact is, the green race and GW hype has caused a lot of great things that wouldn't have happened without the GW hysteria. Supply ad demand, et all. And it is leading us to even more unimaginable technology. I, for one, can live with the lie if it means cutting oil dependency and cleaner air/environment. And until then, I proudly welcome anything that makes our gas guzzlers more efficient (reads; the green chickens are saving me gas money)
  3. I know... well, am acquainted with, "the" photographer for the titans (not nfl but team photog) and I can tell you that you have about the same chance of shooting for a pro team or the nfl as you do becoming president in 2012. These guys not only have current connections but also come with a resume with national contracts and a whole hoard of other accomplishments. Kal (who's studio is in Chatt, btw) is the photog for JC Pennies and other national companies, for instance. Once you have those, you can get in line behind the others that have been waiting years for a spot to open. Congrats on everything else though

  13. Undead Or Alive. It is available for instant view. It's mo better because it co-stars a Chattanooga native
  14. This makes me want to get mine out. Sent it in for repair probably three years ago and have never shot the new one they sent

  16. A lot of "pros" use costco. Real pros use Blue Cube or other high quality printers. Costco is the High Point of printers. Sure, they're better then Walmart (Jennings) but they're certainly not Blue Cube or Bay Photo (Sig). I used them once and it was good but my colors and lights/darks were off. And I have had clients complain to me (as if it's my fault) after getting enlargements done there. And even if they are using costco, et al, or have a bulk discount, they're still only making a few measly bucks for all of those hours spent drawing that toon...
  17. There's a reason for that... A person selling prints of something for profit, even for very little profit, want's and needs, high quality. Costco, WalMart, et al, can not provide that quality Not to mention the extra hassle that's involved with going to Costco to pick them up and shipping them yourself. Most quality printers will drop ship.
  18. Not really. Prints that size costs me 19.99 locally. they're probably using cheaper paper but I doubt they're making more then a couple bucks
  19. Ahh... that's who it is. I knew it was someone very angry
  20. I'll play Found these while sifting through some archives. From a forest fire. Have no idea what the exif is but I do remember it was a 70-300mm lens. A fellow TGOer (do not remember who) working the the TGO booth at the Guns and Gear Expo. Again, exif is long gone... probably set on A priority and 24-70 lens. Photo Safari - light painting. 2 or 3 strobes on ground w\24-70...and guessing about an 8 to 10 sec, f8 to f11,

  24. Jubilant Rebels Control Much of Tripoli | HeraldTribune.com Tripoli - his last strong hold - has been taken by rebels, two of his sons have been captured, and his Presidential Guard has surrendered. Looks like it will not be too much longer until qadaffi is captured.
  25. This. In my past life, I did outside sells for a specialty parts manufacturer/distributor. I've seen a lot of numbers and behind the scenes stuff that no one else was allowed to see (credit apps-how much they work vs how much they make, how many parts they return to parts stores, etc). I can tell ya there is a reason the big named shops and franchises can afford marble floors, super nice and huge waiting rooms with flat screens and other niceities... Not to mention the stuff I saw as a delivery driver.
