I make my own cigs at around 75 cents a pack. The cheap stuff can be had for even less... As far as her fatness goes, a tomato costs more then a box of Twinkies. It's easy to become overweight by eating one bad meal per day while not working.

Did his employer mail him a letter letting him know he got the job? I don't know how old your son is, but going off of your age, he has to be in his prime? The story you posted is about baby-boomers. The people in this age group are the least employable. Can you imagine applying for a job as an older man, competing against the young with strong backs, and saying to the HR manager "sorry, but I do not have any way for you to contact me if you decide to hire me."? That will take your slim chances of getting hired and turn it into a zero chance of getting hired. And like Jonnin said, selling electronics in a world of disposable electronics is not not that easy. Why would someone want to buy a used tv when they can pick up a new one with a warranty for a few dollars more? My brother, after loosing his house back in April, tried like hell to pawn his tv to help with moving costs. Not one single pawn shop would take it. It's a 32 inch and only a few months old. And I don't mean they wouldn't give him a fair value for it. I mean they would not take it at any price. Pawn shops are stocked full of unsellable TVs and they do not want any more.

She's only been laid off since February. Yeah, let's ostracize the woman for buying an $80 tv while she was working
  5. I was working in downtown Chattanooga at the time. I came in just after the first plane hit. Rodger, my coworker, pulled me into the office to see -the at the time - accident. Of course, like everyone else, we were wondering how in the hell a plane could get close enough to hit a building like that. Then we saw the second plane hit... and both Towers falling. I was out making my rounds when the Pentagon got hit and Flight went down. Traffic was an outright nightmare within minutes of the second plane hitting. I remember roads being closed around all of the important buildings (Broad closed at the TVA-Cigna over-the-road walkway thingy, county and fed buildings, etc) Cops of all sorts and TVA police all over the place. It seems the Times Free Press had guys on every street corner within minutes.
  6. That! (Trying to replace "this!" as the new internets thang)
  7. lol The fork had the bribe hot dog on it
  8. I always get the "yes, we have that part in stock but we close in 5 minutes". But what really pisses me off is rushing like hell to get that part.... only to get home to find it's the wrong one or is a core return in the box

To get back on topic, fat does not necessarily equate to eating. The way things are, a carrot costs more then a Mc. Double. As far as food stamps goes, the system is broken. The welfare system has saved a lot of lives. And still does. The problems we are seeing today stems from giving those on welfare jobs giving away welfare. When you give a woman that lives in the projects a job approving welfare applicants and determining how much those applicants receive, then it's almost guaranteed that she will give her friends all of the benefits instead of those that truly deserve them and need them. It is really, really sad that kids have to go hungry because some project momma want's more stamps to sell to pay for a big screen.
  10. Yea. A light box would have been so much better then my cyc. Well, dogs will listen if you have treats. You give them one treat and snap a shot, give them another treat, snap a shot.... and after a few times they realize they'll get a treat everytime they hear the shutter. little kids are like cats though. They quit caring the instant the treat is gone Depends on the camera and memory card. I can usually get 10 or so shots before the cache slows me down. But my lights can only give a couple pops before I have to stop and let them recharge.
  11. I've spent the past hour trying to shoot my new cat. Three hotdogs, a few scratches and a little blood later, I end up with a bunch of shots like this I did get a couple of good ones tho. ,
  12. Try eating more. Think about it. The more you eat, the more cushion your ass will have. The more cushion your ass has, the less your ass bone will press against the mag release.
  13. This criminal's execution was expedited... Try to keep up
  14. I answered the question earlier in the thread takes all of two seconds to unhook
  15. Look under the seat for a wire leading to the seat belt buckle and unhook it. If unhooking the wire doesn't work, then jump the wire connector. May have to pull the carpet back a little to find it. And you should really wear your seat belt!
  16. Note to self: "Give me some head, baby" does not mean to actually give her my head...
  17. It had a broken hinge. It was one of the earlier models.
  18. Wasn't you that was going to test how long you can go without cleaning amosin after shooting corrosive ammo? How did that go? Depends. M44s are getting pretty scarce, so they say. Seems the last one I saw on the forum for sale was 150ish. I haven't seen any for sale in quite some time... so Icould believe 200 being just a bit over a fair value.
  19. That was hilarious!
  20. Didn't mean to poop on your elephant. The problem with stop leak (and the ole' pepper fix) is that it was designed to work with radiators of years past. Modine pretty much reinvented radiator technology some years back and now every car uses their design. Radiators of, say 20 years ago, are much different then today. Today the tubes are pretty much just barely wide enough to allow water to flow. Adding anything else into the system will clog them quicker then this fat boy can eat a Hershey bar. Course, stop leak can work for an emergency situation, but I still wouldn't recommend it as you're looking at a mess to clean up later =$$$. I'd just as rather drive with a leak. If stop leak does have to be used, then drain every drop of coolant from the radiator, then add the stop leak to the drained coolant, mix well, then slowly refill the radiator with the engine running. This will help keep the stop leak from lumping up in the system. Same idea as sifting your flour before baking a cake. Even letting a radiator shop do the removal and install, you're still looking at a cheap fix. Good thing about GMs is the radiator comes out in 5 minutes. If push comes to shove, just drain the coolant and refill with pure water. Only problem with water only is your water pump will suffer without the lubricant that's added to coolant.

  22. Do not use stop leak or pepper! It will sometimes stop or slow a pin-hole leak.... but it will also clog-up your radiator tubes and heater core. The price to have a new heater core installed, have your radiator "rodded" and system flushed when your engine starts overheating will be more expensive then just buying a brand new radiator now. My suggestion is to remove the radiator yourself, take it in to a radiator shop and have them repair it. A radiator shop can easily solder an aluminum core or replace the plastic tanks.
  23. Everything is negotiable. Even services and retail (places that have actual salesmen like Best Buy will always give a discount when asked). Only problem with negotiating services is that you usually do not negotiate the actual price but the level of service itself is negotiated. I was hired by a local stylist just last week after a long negotiation. Original quoted price was $100(which was a discounted "on spec" price). Negotiated price was $75 but I cut the service provided in half. Afterward, they decided that they wanted an additional X, which would have been included in the original price, so I charged them 50 bucks for that. Their final bill was 125 bucks. In the end, I ended up working less but made more... which is how it usually works out when a cheapskate client tries to cut corners at my expense So, yes, I welcome negotiations
  24. Not being negative. I even said congrats! Sheesh. He came of as sounding hopeful that his teacher could change nfl hire procedures with a phone call. I was simply pointing out that that it takes a lot of time, a lot of skill (not critiquing his stuff here...) some national level clients on the app AND the inside contacts.
  25. Not to mention that a lot of oil comes from unstable areas. We may just wake up one day to hear a big ole FU.. no more oil for zee 'Mercins [ insertbest W voice]. Far as solar power goes, look up Solar City. They provide everything needed, including installation, with absolutely no start-up cost, equipment buying or maintenance costs. They charge you 20 bucks or so per month for the"lease". The only catch is they keep the check the power co. sends for adding power back into the power grid. Not a bad trade off to trade a 200 dollar light bill for a ~20 dollar solar lease bill, eh
