Parts stores will offer discounts if you buy by the case. If you ask nicely, they'll even give you shop price. Far as I know, they make the oil for all 4 of the big chains.

This is what I would check. Fuel pumps will go out when you start replacing things that affect fuel pressure (your new filter) and performance (your new coil and tune-up). I would hold off on touching any senors as I've never seen a high millage car need just one sensor. Seems when you replace one, they all start going out...

The president does not have the power to activate the military. He only has the power to command them once activated by congress. saying the pres can use the military to take our guns is getting into the conspiracy lunacy area. If the president orders a door to door gun collection, congress has the power to sue him to halt the order and\or remove him from power. It takes two keys to turn the locks. One of those keys is held by 535 members. And the courts are there to decide if the keys can be turned if there's a disagreement between the key holders.

The great thing about this country is that we are not ruled by one person. This country is ran by the president, the houses and the courts. When one steps out of line, the others can step in to un-do whatever has been done. And if need be, remove those responsible.

Fellow vampire here. There is absolutely nothing mo' better then WM in the wee hours! No customers. Everything normally out if stock is on a pallet. And the lines are completely empty. Not sure how it is up yonder, but down honder the electronic guys can fetch ammo. And if you're lucky, all of the out of stock ammo can be pulled right from the pallet... if you look hapless and ask nicely!

I have the same mentality for that, too. If something is bad enough to affect the food supply across the world, I just hope I'm in the first wave. As far as playing soldier over politics... I doubt that will ever happen here. The reason it happens in other countries is because they do not have a system that removes corrupt dictators every four years like we do. [Although, I do enjoy stocking up arms just in case ] And I highly doubt a major gas shortage or stoppage would cause it, either, like some think. The masses will just drive Priusessss.

It's the presumptively of it. Let's say there are two gas stations right next to one another. Station A does not accept any bills larger then a $20. Station B is well known for accepting large bills. Which station is a thug going to presume has more cash and rob? There are other reasons, too. In addition to what Timestepper said, there is also the problem with making cash drops in the safe. A cashier has to make multiple small drops on their shift in order to maintain the store's maximum cash on hand policy... while keeping enough cash to make change with. If they have to drop large bills, they will run out of change. I know this reason might sound wonky when typed out like this, but it's just the way it works.

I do not prepare. If something happens that's bad enough to wipe out that much life, I only hope I'm taken out by the first wave. Having nothing but rice and beans for 3-6 months then slowly dying of starvation when that runs out is not the way I wanna go. No thanks. As far as prophecies and predictions from long gone societies, meh... I'm not holding my breath. According to predictors in the '80s, we should have hover boards and flying cars by now. Needless to say, I don't hold much credit to things predicted by people that thought the earth was flat.
