  1. No membership is required to shoot 3-gun, IDPA or cowboy at CHRC. It's just a flat $10 for everyone. For a membership, their applications requests references to other members. You can meet members at one of the weekly shoots and you'll be G2G. I forget what regular membership fees are (I'm on a discounted rate) but I wanna say it's much less per year then the indoor ranges. I have no earthly idea what it takes for a CRC membership. I have heard that theirs is much harder to obtain.
  2. Coolidge Park is where all the cool kids go to shoot outdoors. Chattanooga Rifle Club and CHRPC are the only two outdoor ranges around besides PC. You can do whatever drills you wish at CHRPC. Shoot multiple targets, shoot in multiple directions, etc. I have no idea about CRC. Cme out for one of their shoots and check the place out http://www.rangeissafe.com/ Far as shooting in the woods... long as you're not within city limits, you can shoot anywhere you want.
  3. I said to run the gun wet and oil the mags. I had much the same problems you have had until I started ding this. These guns do not like being ran dirty or dry during break in. After break in, you can oil and clean them normally.

    Your First Car!

First car was an 88 Honda Accord 5 speed. First vehicle at 16 was a Kawasaki KE street legal 2-stroke followed closely by a 94 Ninja. Bought the KE new on a 6 month lawaway and saved my ass off for the ninja.
  5. Interesting. The FBI (and I'm sure other federal agencies) have the authority to arrest local and state law enforcement officers. There is certainly plenty of cases of this happening throughout the country. One case just a few days ago in Connecticut even. I'm not sure local and state officers would have the authority, even if this bill passes, to arrest federal agents for conducting federal investigations or arrests. In theory, the 10th would give local and state authorities this power. In actual application, I'm not seeing any cases of this actually ever happening. Even searching back to the days of civil rights protest, "ride-ins" desegregation, etc where the feds and guards clashed with local police. Putting my tinfoil on, let's say this does actually happen. Where local and state police attempt to stop an arrest by the feds. What would actually happen? Who would come out on top? The feds or the local and state authorities? Looking back to the federal and local clashes in the '50s and '60s, it was always the federal authorities that won. Most of the time the feds won simply from a numbers standpoint. Could we expect the same results today? Would we see hundreds, if not a thousand or two, federal agents from various ABC agencies and maybe a few national guardsmen clashing with local and state police in the streets in front of a detention center?
  6. Grease fried toast sounds disgusting. Salads dressed with bacon grease is delicious though!
  7. I'd say that anyone shopping for food at Dollar General is truly in need. Whether her need is short term or long term is anybodys guess.Especially in this economy. For me, I'll stick with complaining about those that abuse their assistance by shopping at high priced grocery stores, buying named brand junk and driving nice SUVs.
  8. How do you tell if someone is online?

    I'm here!

    Withdraw symptoms now settled.
  10. People have been hanging "I shoot invaders" signs on their doors since the invention of the gun. Before that, I'm sure there were signs hanging on doors that read "I'll sever head with sword" or "Bongo hit cavegirl big rock". Only on the internets will you find hysteria that signs will get one killed.
  11. Most stuff you post is a little out there for me personally but I think I agreed with everything he said.
  12. Not talking bullet drop. Talking bullet trajectory. Bullets will both increase and decrease in elevation mid-flight. Handgun Trajectory Table
  13. A half inch of offset isn't going to make a difference in a SD situation. Long as you're within minute of man, you're GTG. Far as shooting 'yotes, your bullet trajectory is more then likely going to be +- 2-3 inches past 25 yards
  14. I've tried this. It made the booze taste pungent.
  15. Rum and root beer. Not too bad.
  16. Police Cruiser I Hidden pig I Vermont | The Daily Caller
  17. HB 679-Georgia Constitutional Carry Act of 2012 HBÂ 679Â 2011-2012 Regular Session TN often follows GA's lead on carry laws. Most recently, TN followed GA's lead on park carry and "bar" carry. Following the history here, TN may see a similar bill within the next year or two.
  18. Well stated. What amazes me is the open desire to profile based on skin color and looks here. How many here supporting the idea of Israeli security would be profiled right along with those with brown faces? Extremely conservative, gun-toting, flannel wearing government haters. How quickly we forget.... Homeland Security Report Warns Of Rising Right-Wing Extremism Course, I'd be all for adopting their security. I'm not extremely conservative, I have nie a brown face nor wear flannel. I would slip right through... Strick, will visit y'all in the concentration camp, J
  19. I'd say this probably gained her lots of new business.
  20. Despite what you think you know, all business owners do not have to do any of those things, either. The same right they have to tell you, you have to have a rail on your stairs at home. You are not being discriminated against. Carrying a gun is a choice. A person's color, religion, disability or ethnicity is not a choice. See the difference?
  21. Is your front sight staked of dovetailed? Dawson and Fusion are the only ones that make fronts that will fit the staked versions. And I would stay clear of the Trijicons. Damn things are weak and break easily.
  22. A loud one. Apparently, to this guy, I have the right do do so. Answer my question. What rights do you have on someone else's property? The only thing more dangerous then those who don't know their rights are the ones who think they know their rights...
  23. What rights do you have on someone else's property? The US Constitution is a document protecting your rights from government infringement. It is not a document protecting your rights form private property owners. I challenge you to find the part that defines differently. If it really was the way you're saying, then would you let me on your property if I chant Muslim prayers with a bullhorn? Think about that for a moment before you answer the first question....
  24. Yes, I am aware of that and also aware of maintenance days. Still doesn't explain the reason for this bill. TWRA is not going to open ranges if hunters or rangers are down range.
