  2. Heres a picture of my Mossberg after I buled.The lighter and darker areas is just oil reflecting the light
  3. It will work it just takes a little longer since you cant put allot a pressure on the part. I think I started out with black rouge,then used white,green,and blue.
  4. Also like you said metal polish dont work.For that mirror finish order some jewelers rouge.And you dont need a high speed buffer,just a cheep 10 dollar 6 inch one will do just fine.
  5. I just polished some parts on my 1911 and it turned out great.I used blue remover,a wire brush and some various grades of jewelers rouge.No sandpaper needed.I even used my dremmel for some parts and it turned out good also.Heres some crappy cell phone pics

    Carry Gun Size?

    Vewwy vewwy carefully No seriously,I carry an XD service,occasionally a KelTec,And very rarely a 1911 goverment.All three are different sizes and conceal differently,but they all conceal.IMO the size don't matter,you will find a way to carry it. Btw.Welcome to tgo,and kudos to the name

  14. I used Perma Blue http://www.birchwoodcasey.com/sport/blueing_index.asp?categoryID=1&subcat=5 It can be had at Wal Mart or just about any gun store. Its quite simple to do it just takes a little time for that perfect look but still allot less time then sending it off.The steps are: Clean area,apply blue remover and let sit then scrub with a wire brush.Repeat until all blue is removed. To blue:Clean well,rub area with wire brush(like sanding before painting so paint will stick)apply blue,repeat all steps from cleaning on. You can also get a good looking finish by just applying the blue with out using the blue remover.
