  1. Hey now! Do NOT rag him just because he likes to wear makeup!
  2. Same here! What they dont know, wont hurt us MB, if you'd like to debate this, look back through the thread. You,Fal,and myself have debated this(among other things),and have even spelled it out for all to see.I'm not going to continue with whats been said. We all agree here that the 11pm is not necessary, but is needed to get this passed,so no reason to argue with anybody else here on tat either! Oh,and like I stated in my last comment in this thread,DO NOT call me (or anyone else) names. Its not only against the rules, but it also impedes your credibility on debates, and people will then focus of that instead of your "reasoning"
  3. It might be if I get to eat first!
  4. Yeah,I dont think I want my holsters in the shape of a couple of baseballs!
  5. I looked briefly for the stats, but only saw oodles of forums discussing the subject. TBI,and TDOS;not sure why I'm worried about what they think about OC Traffic stops;I could care less if a cop sees a bumper sticker, and has his hand on his gun Question! If a cop sees a rainbow bumper sticker, does he keep his hand over his rear?
  6. Id like to see the stats too please There is allot of proof of what you're saying being false.Just look at all the pro-gun bills moving forth in TN right now. One could also look at it as all the OCers in the past 15 years has opened the minds eyes of our reps, and has encouraged all the pro-gun bills.Thats beneficial, not hurtful! I'm sorry dude, but until I see some proof of this actually hurting TN,its just an opinion on what you like, and doesn't have much merit Who's pushing an envelope?I thought we were talking about open carry here! Great.......now I'm going to have to dig up stats on paper cuts
  7. GM,in the past 15 years has TN enacted more gun control in reference to permits? I'm sorry, but I just do not buy that argument one bit.Its like saying an HK sticker will get my car broken into If someone is going to cause a problem, they're going to cause a problem, regardless of where their gun is
  8. Just found another one doing the same http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/19207-can-anyone-verify-kel-tek-rumor-2.html Is this happening to anybody else?
  9. Ive found two threads that will not advance when you click on the last page. This says there are three pages, but when you click on the 3 it just goes back to page 2. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/19583-look-what-followed-me-home-today-2.html Same here only 11,and 12 http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handgun-carry-self-defense/19304-how-many-open-carrys-11.html
  10. Welcome aboard Chad
  11. Guys, its all a matter of opinion here.If not then show some proof of how open carry will result to concealed carry,or how,or how,or how it makes you look fat. GM,when I open carry,I'm not making a statement.I'm not trying to be a cop.I'm not trying to intimidate someone. It because I'm restricted to either pocket carry,or OWB carry. Oh,wait....maybe that does make me a wanna be Fall,David,I saw the correlation between OC,and earrings. Look,if you wanna wear piercings openly then go right ahead, but dont give me flak for wearing mine concealed...or something like that!
  12. His answer was questioned, and I just added a little to it is all! Jeez, lighten up Humor
  13. The biggest bust come from little stuff like an out light,or a low tire....right? Personally I have no reason not to tell a cop he cant search my vehicle, but in your sons case where it was either that or a ticket,I would have gone with a ticket! I cant imagine it costing much, and I also imagine it would have been dropped after showing proof the bulb was replaced
  14. The answer to that is simple. Go to the post office and get a new Passport. Take that new Passport to the Department of Safety in Nashville(must be done in person) and request a Temporary Amended Ownership Accusation Form 4. Or TAOAF4 for short. Make sure its not a form 3! I know,I know it looks the same, and has exactly all the same questions, and the same check boxes but its very different. Fill that out(make sure your serial number is clearly readable!) and send it to your nearest BATF office in care of Selective Crime Reports on Explosives and Weapons for Mediation Enforcement. Or SCREWME for short. Once they approve your request you can then, and only then, commence to take ownership. But only after you take the guns in question to your nearest FFL dealer to transfer it.
  15. So where are the topless pics?
  16. Mediabuster,no one here thinks they are a lawyer (well one of us does, but thats only because he is one ) or a weekend warrior. And even though you said that, and called me a "nimrod" I still wont ask you to leave.I will however strongly suggest (since you said you were a security guard) that you read, and understand these laws for your protection! You seem to have an interpretation problem here, and you are in for a big awaking when you use the wrong force to subdue someone,or use deadly force to protect property, etc. Ill also remind you that the Castle Doc(and yes TN has one) will not protect you if you shoot someone thats fleeing. Go watch Pearl Harbor to man up enough to know that you need to inform yourself here. If you leave, its been nice.If you stay, dont ever call me a nimrod.......you monkey! No,not usually! Only when a "knowitall" doesn't really know it all Welcome to the forum btw!
  17. Not to nitpick here, but just de-fact`oing your facts. Its late,I cant sleep, and just reread your post Incorrect. Laws concerning handgun carry permits do not apply to armed security guards(and even cops) so therefore the 11pm curfew would not apply. Are you a security guard? If so then you should know that! Also incorrect, security guards do not have to wear a badge,or identifying patches. Security guards can wear any type of clothing they so chose(plain clothes)
  18. Hmm.... I may be drunk, but I'm not dyslexic! Ill invite you to read it again. Yes,it is an offense to carry as stated here: But keep reading onto ©! I outlined subsection (a) in red for you above. What part of"shall not apply to" are you having problems with? and it shall not apply to: It does not say one must be a security guard. It says that anyone whom owns, manages,or is employed there. Maybe you're getting caught up on this: Now let me explain part further. Are you MB responsible for protecting yourself/others,and your property? I am responsible for my safety(person),and can also be responsible for a third parties safety(persons) at any time, and protection of my property the same as you,or anybody else. That does not make me a security guard under this law.I may also protect the property of my employer. However I may not protect property using lethal force under this,or any other law in TN.It does not state lethal force here now does it? It seems to me you're having problems understanding not only this law,but also the laws regarding the Castle Doc,and you are also saying its a grey area if you use lethal force when someone is fleeing. That tells me that you're the one spewing non-sense especially for someone who just said this: Also seems that if you have really done more then anybody else here then you would not only know these laws, but would at least understand how to read them. And since you're saying that I dont know what I'm talking about,Ill refer you to someone else's post verifying this. Now maybe you can offer some proof other then just saying "you're wrong" because thats not much of a rebuttal!
  19. No,you can not protect property with lethal force in TN. No,it is not a grey area if you can shoot someone from running away.Thats a nono. Yes,you can carry where alcohol is severed without being a security guard. It does not say anywhere in 39-17-1305 you must be a security guard. (A security guard is employed to protect. A regular employee is employed to work, but is carrying to protect themselves,or a third party.) Yes,the Castle Doc will protect you from criminal, and civil as long as the shot was justified regardless of location in TN
  20. Fall, yes thats what I was after but I just scanned it looking for "business" MB,yes TN does have a Castle Doctrine. You do not have to be a security guard to protect yourself,or a third party. I have no idea what the TN AG opinion is on the matter though....maybe Fallguy has that stashed away?
  21. I agree on that! Although I do have, and use a nylon quite often, but I only use it in the car to clip on the back of the passenger seat though.Dont think Id ever suggest one as a carry rig. Id love to have a comp-tac,etc but IWBs will not work for me. the other nice holsters all have the same problem for me,and thats not enough cant adjustment. My Roto will allow me to change the cant on the fly so I can reposition my XD as it gets in my way of getting in/out of the car and whatnot without removing screws. My Blackhawk Infinity which is more expensive(still not 100 bucks though) will only allow cant adjustment after a screw removal, and velcro but since the Sig isn't as big,it isn't a huge problem. As soon as a better named holster manufacture makes a holster with a complete, and total cant adjustment I will change, but for now these two holsters work very well, and I would recommend them.
  22. I can agree with that, however whats an average decent holster cost? 30-60 bucks? Like I said,I only have experience with the Rotos, and can vouch for them after all the abuse Ive put mine through.Maybe the regular ones are cheaper made,or can break off easy, but I can guarantee you that Ive had all of my weight of 200 lbs on mine without incident a few times
  23. Not speaking about security guards here http://www.michie.com/tennessee/lpext.dll/tncode/11660/1207c/123ce/12418?f=templates&fn=document-frame.htm&q=business%20carry%20firearms&x=Advanced&2.0#LPHit1
  24. If you work there,I do believe you can carry with the owners consent without a permit. Someone correct that if need be. Ill also ask this again: What all have you done for gun rights thats more then everyone here?Thats a pretty big statement to make.
  25. EMTs are not of my concern. They are on their job,and must follow the rules of their company. Now let me ask you wouldnt it be nice if he could atleast carry in that bar at 10:45? I never said it was a good plan to end it at 11pm,however I know that its still better then nothing. If we dont get it passed with the 11pm added on,it will not pass this year, period. Id much rather carry till 11,then not carry at all,and maybe next year when they see no blood shed they will make better changes to the law
