This is why i love this place. I guess the reason i have never noticed before, i dont think i've ever finished shooting and had a partial mag left. :woohoo:  The spring i was refering to was an aftermarket kit that added it, but now i cant find any links or info for so maybe i am getting my part kits mixed up. Thanks guys i feel better about it now.

I was out sooting my S&W m&P 15 this morning. One of my friends called to go fishing so i pulled the mag. and ejected the round in the chamber to put back in the mag. i noticed the primer had a indent from the firing pin when the bolt went home. I have never noticed this before, but i remember seeing a spring that goes on the firing pin to prevent this from happening and causing a slamfire.

I am planing to start reloading this winter when i have more time. and then i will probably start casting loading my own lead. but during the summer months I'm not home enough.

it costs about 75 bucks for 20 rounds. i have been saving my brass to start reloading but haven got started yet.

so on a whim i bought a H&R handi rifle chamberd in 500 s&W to go with my 500 pistol. finally got a chance to put some round down range. The first problem i had was with the sights they are tru glo fiber but the houseing for the front and rear are all plastic. I am planing on useing this one at 100 yards or less so i wasnt going to put a scope on it, but with the stock sights i had to do something so i bought a weaver base and stuck my Eotech on top. I had read some reviews on line and was disheartend by some of the problems i had read. But what the heck if its on the internet it has to be true. The good stuff now bore sighted it at 25yd and then put some lead down the pipe. wow 400gr. winchester hollow points what fun. It has about the same kick as a shotgun shooting 3 1/2 mag. shells as far as accurcy goes its not a tack driver but lobing 400 grains of lead down range tacks are not a problem. but all in all i would have to say it was a great buy and would buy it again.

Just had a bunch of rain some heavy. Thunder and lighting this morning but no damage other than low areas holding water.

when i got home i found out why the 5lb seemed small. had two extra packets of catalyst that didint get mixed in. Next time we will get it right :-)

love that hitch. look like it would tow better than a standard ball coupler and less play with the same manuvibility as a pintle hook.

I was looking at a black bear hunt this year and having never hunted TN bears figured i would go with an outfitter for my first time. Does anyone have any experience good or bad with this outfitter. Thanks Greg

qrz.com has a free online tests for the different classes of licences They are a good way to find out if you are ready for the test. You can do the tech,gen,and extra all in one shot but you have to pass them in order. 73, KI4LCH

when i carry w/croosbreed and kimber 1911 i do it the same way. found it makes it easier to filp the safety if needed. nice to know that others do the same.

alot of the gander mountains are carrying it. i dont remember how the price compares to getting online.
