  1. I have never used Beretta but I have used SIGs cust service and its IMO the best in the business.. They not only fixed my  P226 they gave me a free SRT trigger and a mag
  2. I heard someone say the grip safety and mag release might be cast but the hammer and ignition parts are tool steel as well as the rest..even the sales guy does not know..LOL   Without a doubt,,,,,,Its a GI DW ...    FYI they are only making 1000 units ......after that  its over .. I am considering not even shooting mine now  LOL
  3.   of course...  Id never buy an 80 series personally    USA ! USA ! USA ! Im pretty certain DW has some sorta hand it it,it does look very much like my Valor inside
  4. She has arrived ! I am not sure what these guys were thinking when they came up with this GI model idea, forged frame,no MIM.hand fitted slick looking ww2 copy for low $700s? A super tight well machined classic that has the looks of a boring GI pistol with the engine of a turbo vette under the hood,....This thing is a sleeper ! Quality is amazing and talk about tight, this thing is tighter than any 1911 I have ever picked up . Going to hit the range today and try this baby out !
  5. The author of this article  really is a nobody with no history but FOX deems is worthy of mention makes me wonder about FOX. There is plenty of more news worthy storys out there that need attention ,bring up some lemonaid stand level writer up from the sidewalk just gave him a big boost...
  6. When I got my DanWesson I stripped one of the slim bushings, sadly .. The removal was a nightmare and I had to buy 50 bucks worth of special tools to  remove it but ended up drilling it out  . MFGs feel the need to locktite them in ,over kill IMO   I added new bushings and put them in dry and so far they have not loosened up really but  Id rather snug mine down after a range session then worry about them being so tight I cant get them out
  7. I own a DW Valor.  It rocks...   DW is better than some bigger name custom guns,in accuracy tests and  build quality DW has ranked up there with some big names.. If you are thinking of trying one you will not regret it..They are super tight, have sweet triggers and all tool steel    Mine is not for sale
  8. the research and development by bullet mfgs on hollowpoint human stoppers can not be reproduced at home,so why bother?   I want a bullet that has been tested and proven deadly....   but for plinking my reloads work fine
  9. Palmetto puts up a deal sometimes its hard to refuse I grabbed a 'Sale" gun a few weeks ago and it was in my greasy palms in  less than a week......good deals !
  10.     Glocks are easy to beat, other than the huge aftermarket parts available for glocks there really is not much about them that makes them superior IMO..FN does everything a glock  does but better for me. Better trigger, way nicer sights, grip and angle,USA made, bigger rails, extra mag FN sadly has no aftermarket...No bling,no tricked out sights,no 33 round mags etc etc....
  11. whats your 45ACP loads fellas?   I have tried a few but landed on the ole reliable   230G FMJ,6.0 G unique,1.25OAL
  12. check out the FNS ....    PPQ looks awesome def IMo the best in class
  13. I have a TRP and it come with a FLGR ,swapped it out before I even hit the range with a Wilson GI style   But you have a nice 1911 and it will shoot great regardless of which style you go with   good luck
  14. at the  range today i  ran 150 rounds and I must say recoil was low for a 40,sights and controls were very simple and easy to use gun run and fed all my bullets...great gun ,would highly recommend..esp if your looking for something glock like but without the G name ...FN is impressive
  15. Finally Memphis has something that is #1 in class besides crime We now have the biggest sportsman's store in America    all I can say is WOW this place is HUGE    http://gizmodo.com/a-bass-pro-shop-in-a-pyramid-is-surely-a-sign-that-the-1701005438     http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CFPageC?storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&appID=94&storeID=61&tab=3&cm_sp=Store061Feb2015_RD&cm_ven=redirect&cm_cat=mktg&cm_pla=bps&cm_ite=memphispyramid
  16. Why are these not more popular ,does not our military buy and use FN products ? FNs striker fired pistol is everything a handgun owner would want and then some ! Comes in nice case made and with 3 14 round mags ! Excellent serrated big 3 dot sights dovetailed into the slide like a 1911 ,really well made and machines the gun has a trigger that rivals any of the big name striker fired brands you read about every day ,comes w optional features like night sights and safety's are available for those that prefer that kinda thing ..Gun has great ergos and stippling, this thing wont ever slip on you with a sweaty palm, comes with adj backstraps and best of all its MADE IN THE USA..... I cant tell you how tickled I was when I got the Daily deal on one from Palmetto for 369.00,I figured I would roll the dice on it and see how bad it really was but the case is this thing rivals them all...Glock,Sig,XD,M&P line them up and the FN will be at the top of the heap.. I field stripped the gun, dropped on some oil and headed to the range with this thing and the results were nothing short of perfect.. 17. Dan Wesson is worth a look better gun overall but a few bucks more because its all tool steel and will be tighter fitting than the kimbers or the sigs ..   Pick up a sig or a kimber then try a DW you will know where your money was spent
  18. I was not too impressed by Para's 1911s,loosest slide to frame I ever felt and a trigger that stunk plus its series 80s....No offence but there was much better 45s worth owning    Older Paras were great however
  19. 10MM is a small pistol.should be very snappy, hard to get on back on target with ..
  20. i tried an ATI 1911 and it was a mess and would not run  I fixed it myself, things it needed were as follows   Polished Feedramp, this should be SOP for all 1911s New recoil spring from Wilson, ATI uses some junk from China ? MSH spring from Wilson.   It fed pretty well after this and the trigger went from like 9 pounds to 5 lbs3. It ran like a champ and even ate hollwpoints   but it was so loose and un accurate I ended up sellin it off
  21. side by side with a G26 Im not knocking the gun but side by side they are the same, the width is JUST an 8th" difference and a loss of 4 rounds...I am not understanding the fanfare ..plus its 100 more than most others in its class (XDs,Shield,CM9 etc)
  22.     Hickock never in years has ever panned any gun,he just shoots and says life is good..I enjoys his point of view but he is never critical ..   The Decocker is plain stupid on this gun ,,,
  23. I heard the removed the decocker on the upcoming mid size model however.......   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2TJh--Oztk
