1. had to show off a little ! After acquiring and shooting the ROC I thought there was much about it I liked and plenty I did not. So I shipped it back to Springfield ATT: Custom Shop and for a few bucks made it the way I would have Better coating, better trigger and then some better grips, small investment paid off with a much better CCO type 1911
2. If you dont need a rail Gen 2s imo are just as good as any glock out there and if you get one on a police trade in for about 20 bucks you can add a fresh set of springs and be good to go
3. I own a CT9,paid 275 for it plus got the free mag also I got it mostly for the wife, she prefers that style of trigger and seems to shoot it well   KAHR has been making waves lately with its C series line up,the price is tough to beat and the  guns really work well plus they are made in the USA which is always a plus for me   I also own the CW45 and PM9 from Kahr, all 3 of my Kahrs have been perfect  If you were thinking of trying one that CT9 is an excellent value
4. I had this AK held up in my safe as a novelty and now with a few ad on's she is a now no longer a mild mannered gimmick but a SBR wannabe ,legal too.. my M92 with added Centry Arms hand brace and after market flashider/booster looking forward to trying this baby out with some of Russias finest 7.62 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYQpsuEnpOk
5. I have not seen the Ruger in person yet but I have seen the S&W and IMO its less than stellar... Looking for a great 300.00 pistol......KAHRs CT series is a bargain and under 300,Canik's has a Stingray that looks amazing for 300 bucks
6. Sounds like they used better than stock parts for some reason when they tore you down Makes me wonder.....   Nice job
7.   Ill sell you mine,im in bartlett too....I think I want something fancier....only 150 rounds old...Holla
8.   Direct Hit in Jackson has one in stock
9.     All springer 1911s are USA made now,the forged frames shipped in as raw forgigs  may be imported from Brazil but im not 100% certain on that as fact or not.
10.     Yes its a bull barrel ,my first actually and it uses a silly spacer tool to preload the spring so you can get it apart/assembled but it works great once you figure it all out
11. so do i,I am not sure why they called the RO compact and RO at all they share zero commonalitys.....The frame is alum, the sights are different ,the serrations on the slide are different and so is the trigger But hey its still a cool 1911
12. Picked on up this week and ran 150 rounds through it already, good working CCO 1911 ,6+1 w 4" barrel alum frame, light and easy to shoot ,ate everything with no issues.3 more mags on the way as part of Springs rebate plan which is nice. If your looking for a real US made 1911 for CCW that wont break the bank at 750-800 bucks you may like this model, also comes with high viz front sight, paddle holster and mag pouch... I am a fan of Springers 1911s and this one did not disappoint... :)
13. just say NO to Locks
14. I finally got to handle a VP9,im not knocking it but its a whole lot of hype for a Glock copy The grip was great so were the sights and I liked the odd mag release  the trigger felt no better than any glock I own with a Ghost rocket 15.00 trigger bar.. I will get to shoot one soon,I hope its as accurate as my  CZ75..we shall see
15. KAHR CW45,shoots better than my XDs 45 ever could and cost less too plus it  was made in the USA...They also make an CM45 5+1 but I opted for 6 rounds..   Get off the bandwagons and you can find some better gear out there
16. you get what you pay for..
17. I got a KAHR CT9 for 275 bucks at my LGS comes w one mag and another on the way via rebate and shoots every bit as good as guns I own triple the price
18. I had one,IMO one of the best in the 600.00 price range and a great value could use a little trigger work but the gun shoots well
19. Obama has been coming for out stuff since 2008 not ONE single thing they said he was taken or banning or whatever has come true...   I call BS on thew whole story........Last month they banned 5.45 ammo.?  Well my guy has loads of it
20. i dont consider that a `1911 but I do like it overall
21.   Good info..I looked them up,looks cheap and easy......Im on it but I guess the question I would have is how can I measure mine to see how loose it is?
22.     at the end of the day it all worked out and this was my first 1911 I had to learn to tear into and make work, now I need to make it more accurate, its no where near as accurate as my Springfield's
23. oh its missing coating too...I never seen a gun come with some of its coating missed... But it ran like a champ today at the range after my mods...gun is now 100% reliable
