    Bazooka!

Pshaw! It is a redneck with something that shoots a larger than average projectile that creates a larger than average boom. I am fine with it being called a bazooka. And I would buy a shirt that read "What Would Boyd Crowder Do?" Or Daryl Dixon for that matter.

    Ants!

This is what I wound up doing. When we moved into our new apartment we had ants waiting for us. I went out, bought a bunch of cans of spray, and basically sprayed the entire exterior of my apartment. I haven't seen an ant since.
  3. Well if you decide that you don't like the rail, I am certain you won't have a hard time finding a new home for it. I am fascinated with the railed RIA, and if and when I decide to get a 1911, I am certain, that will be the one. If you don't mind my asking, how much did it set you back?

    Arsenal ak

I had an SGL61 with the MI railed hand guards, I thoroughly enjoyed it, sold it for more than I paid for it and bought a WASR to beat around with. The Arsenal was a much nicer fit and finish gun than the WASR. However they were both accurate. I got out of the AKs and into the ARs.
  5. I am a huge fan of ACDs, it is the breed we will be getting our daughter when we buy our own home. Articles like this, not just the dog part, but the police showing up at the wrong home, what was the one a few years ago, a soldier returned home, the police raided the wrong home, wound up shooting and killing him? The issue I have is the more and more commonplace this becomes, the more and more we become a policestate, and no one seems to mind.
  6. Can't say I really care for the style of pinstriping, and that is coming from a person with a background in hot rodding. But, I will have to give a big chunk of respect to the guys and gals that do it, it takes some skill.
  7. Wow. Just... Wow.
  8. I am chuckling. Despite the haters, and the political differences, I liked Bill.
  9. That looks like a fair bit of awesome.
  10. Pretty easy actually. Anyone that has operated a tow motor longer than a month knows those tricks. >10 years experience here.
  11. I have always been very happy with how I was treated at Bill's.

    Justified

In Raylan's defense, the arm did have the .32ACP pistol still attached to it.

That was a great last episode. Lots of good things in it. The piggy bank line was great too. I liked Limehouse's character. At least they didn't kill him off the way they did Mags.
  14. Yeah, I have a handful of them. I have to buy one every time I go through SMKW.

Pretty heavy ending. I didn't see that last line, but the final scenes painted a vivid picture for me.
  16. Yeah, the 7.62 CETME thing is a myth. These guns were rechambered from 7x57 to 7.62x51 NATO. The 1916 is a small ring 1893 Mauser that has been updated, odds are good it is a Civil Guardia. These were rechambered Mausers for the Spanish version of the National Guard. Yes, .308 Winchester shoots at a higher pressure than 7.62 NATO. I have heard great things about these rifles with hand loads and cast bullits. That is eventually where mine will be. Yes, I own one of the Civil Guardia Mausers.
  17. So I have been here a week. Not a half bad place. A little colder here than it was when I left Knoxville. I have found a couple of decent gun stores. One just down the street with a nice fellow behind the counter. He had a Jericho 941 behind the counter, with a nice price. I have a feeling he and I are going to become well acquainted. Found another shop across the street from where my wife works, lots of milsurp and they had just gotten a shipment of Ruger's new take down 10/22s in. Those are kinda sweet. My commute is a fair bit longer, and the drivers are a bit more aggressive here, but overall I think I will make it just fine. Work is great, I am so pleased with my decision to take the job, it is less stress, more time to do what I need to do, less of a rush. Plus I met with the two heads of our new department and was told why I was cherry picked for the position. I miss Tennessee, but I think Kentucky is going to be good for me and my family.
  18. I am very fond of my PSA carbine. I could have built it a lot cheaper, without all the Magpul parts, but I didn't want to. I still came in well under the $900 mark of the aforementioned Bushmaster. You can buy a complete PSA and have it shipped to your FFL dealer, have a top notch rifle and spend a fair amount less that what Walmart wants. It is also possible to get a Colt from Walmart for only a few dollars more than the Bushmaster. However, as has been mentioned, the S&W MP-15 Sport is considered the best bang for the buck right now. It is short on features that most black rifles have, however it is full of nifty things that most don't have. While some parts might not be mil-spec, that doesn't exactly mean they are crap either. Search Dolomite's posts, or wait for him to find this, he has laid out all the benefits of the Sport and explained them. I built my carbine from a stripped lower. I bought the parts I wanted, as I built it, to avoid swapping or having extras laying around. That was the way I wanted to do it. For a person that wants to buy and not build for whatever reason, the Sport looks to be the way to go. Now, don't take that to think that everyone is down on buying as opposed to building. Different strokes for different folks. I like to tinker. Nothing I own stays the way it came out of the box for long. That is why I built. If I were to buy, I don't think I would pass up the Sport.
  19. Makes an odd amount of sense.
  20. Rumor has it that Armscor bought the machinery or something. I am not sure completely and it was disputed. It has been generally agreed upon that it is a Colt clone, and a fair one at that. I have yet to find a fact laden report, or even a review from an owner. I am highly interested in them, but being as how you can get a S&W Model 10 turn in for a few bucks more, I haven't really made my mind up one way or the other.
  21. It is interesting. They have a piece at the end of it about Zombie Squad, an S&P website. Decent place once you wade past the mall ninjas and fanbois. There are a few folks there that are serious and know their stuff.
  22. I won't lie, I don't think I have cleaned my Glock in a year or so. However, I inspect it after every range trip and do a quick strip and oil. Just because I have this morbid fascination with seeing how dirty it is getting.
  23. Wasn't she the same one that was hearing unconfirmed voices the entire time?
  24. And?That still doesn't take the fun out of it.
