I remember when you started this, but I too forgot about it.I like how it turned out.

It is a round that makes me think about leaving the .355" fold. I have been toying around with the idea of an SP101 in .327 for a while now.

It depends on how much and what I shoot. I actually broke down and cleaned my Glock the other night. First time in a year/1000+ rounds. Cleaned my AR too, I think it had 500 rounds through it. I haven't cleaned my single action .22LRs in a while, maybe 1000 rounds combined. I don't think I have cleaned my AK in a year or so. When I shoot milsurp, I clean them, even if I know the ammo to be non corrosive, I still clean them. I don't let the sun set on them dirty. I guess I get lazy about it, but as they all still function and have been proven to function dirty, I don't sit up and night and stress out over it. However, as for the cleaning being a religious moment... I am not immune. It normally requires the right multimedia on. Normally Red Dawn or similar. Falling Skies has become a favorite as well. I normally shoot on Sundays, so I clean on Sunday night, which just happens to be the night Falling Skies is on...

Man shoots self in face at Coal Creek Armory

That sucks. -
I wish all LPKs came with an extra detent and spring... I have a bag full of them I ordered because of their evil nature to become projectiles.

She has had a significant amount of plastic surgery. Most of it is fine, but she has had some plumping and stretching done around her lips and mouth that just make her seem a little unnatural lately.I still find her attractive, I just found her more attractive before her cosmetic surgery.

My wife watches it. I don't. There are too many issues as pointed out above that keep my from being entertained. Though I must admit, Catherine Bell before she messed her face up was a good reason to watch.

Now here is where I am confused, how are you not allowed to vote, yet I see illegal immigrants being pursued by the local democrats to register to vote, complete with massive billboards in Spanish?

Pictures of the lightweight AR I just built
Murgatroy replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Long Guns
Awesome. How much extra weight do you think could be trimmed using a 16" barrel, a poly lower and an upper without a forward assist/dustcover. I see you left the dustcover off the upper. -
A little known fact about blackberries

Hell, next you will tell her there is no such thing as a snipe... -
Damn dirty tree hugging hippies. I guess I do have to hand it to the few 'honest' ones among the throngs, they are happy. As long as they are self sufficient and aren't hurting anything, I could care less.

Depends on the importer. I think Uzi Eagles are Mossberg, They came after the Jericho, which was KBI. Magnum Research (and now Kahr/Magnum Research) called them Baby Desert Eagles. I am not certain about the pedigree or the order them came in, I know Charles Daly imported them for a while as well. Is the safety frame mounted or slide mounted? The frame mounted ones are a little more popular. Then there is also the fact that since it is an 'Uzi' Eagle it is banned by name in several places. If it were a KBI Import Jericho 941 with the kit, I would be all over it like white on rice. However, as it is 'just' a .40S&W there isn't really anything special about it. I just bought a brand new Magnum Research/Kahr imported Baby Eagle for $530. Buds has all flavors of them at that price as well. If you could jew them down to $400ish, it would be worthwhile. Hehe, I made a pun on an Israeli pistol...

Hey now! My toe shoes are very comfortable.

Yeah the headline was misleading. This has nothing to do with the Pledge of Allegiance, this has to do with reciting the school's alma mater. They will still recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States of America. They are not required to recite either. I think it is being blown out of proportion, and I didn't see a problem with either pledge. When I was a child I attended over a dozen schools being in a military family. Some schools were different. At one school I attended every morning we said the Pledge, and then sang half a dozen patriotic songs. As a youth, I found it bothersome, but I did it. I don't have an issue with it, and they don't make it mandatory. Damn straight, that is why I am proud to be an American, we don't force our patriotic beliefs down the throats of those that refuse them. However, I feel that if they can't show love for their country, they need to get their damn hands out of the purse so to speak. I also think this would be a good time for someone to post the video of Red Skelton's version of the Pledge of Allegiance.

I bought one from Gander Mountain a few years ago, got the extra magazines instead of the $50 rebate. I think it cost me $400 even out the door or something like that. Maybe a little under. I have semi-perm loaned it to my mother, but I put a box of ammo through it before I did. Shot fine, took down and cleaned just like my Glock 19. If I were in the market for something like it again, I wouldn't hesitate to grab one. The reason we went with the Sigma over the Glock was the price factor. I didn't feel like paying $500 for a gun to give to my mother. $350 sounded a lot better. My mother was comfortable with my Glock, and she could work the action on the Sigma, she couldn't operate anything else in the case, including the double action revolvers. If I recall correctly, Glock successfully sued S&W over the Sigma. Owning and shooting both, I understand why.

Using that dedicated lower like that removes all the benefit I see of an 7.62x39mm AR I see. Sure, you get the better magazine design for shooting that caliber, but you are limited to that caliber. There was a maker out there that used a modular lower that could use several magazine types. That would be more interesting...

Picked up two cap and ball revolvers
Murgatroy replied to Spots's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
In a brass frame I would be hesitant to go over 20gr, but that is just me. I would prefer to shoot it for years as opposed to a year big booms. The brass frames will stretch. So while you could theoretically put 30 gr into one without a catastrophic failure, you wouldn't do it a whole lot. That is just my two cents. Brass guns are for looking at in my opinion, they are prettier than the steel guns. Steel guns are for shooting. If you got them used, the first thing I would do is start checking gaps. A lot of folks get brass guns because they are cheaper, but they don't realize that they are weaker. If they are used, odds are good someone loaded them like they were steel, and they could already be stretched. -

Those are both brass framed, be sure to load them light. -
I bought a plain canvas messenger bag. I carry both my laptop and netbook in it. It has plenty of spare room as well. However, it isn't padded which for some is a definite downer. Mine basically carries a computers from home to car, car to work and the reverse.

Being as how I am not shotgun poor having only break actions I have been thinking of adding another scattergun to the mix. I am fond of my old coach gun, and to be honest I don't think anything could replace it in it's role of home defender, but I keep thinking that I am doing myself a disservice in not having something with a little higher capacity. I don't hunt, I just slaughter vicious paper. I sold my last pump, a NEF Pardner Protector as someone needed it more than I did. It was a good gun and I liked it, and selling it had nothing to do with the gun, it had to do with a friend who didn't have anything for him and his wife. I have been going back and forth between the traditional 500 and 870 and I honestly haven't found a clear winner among either. Then I see the new 887 Tactical. I can't stop thinking about it. I don't see me changing it or hanging a bunch of things off of it, and I prefer a traditional stock over a pistol grip, so the lack of aftermarket for it doesn't bother me. Does anyone have any experience with the 887? Good, bad, indifferent?

My wife uses this tactic for fuel. Buy the Shell Gift Card get double the points and then use the Kroger points (since Shell honors them) after shopping to get something like $1.00 off a gallon for a fill-up. Makes a difference.

Same here.I shoot it as well as I do my G19, given that they are almost the same size.

We held our breath for the FR-S, some of us are happy enough with that for right now. There is the Lexus LF-A too, if your pockets are deep enough.
