For the Libertarians Planning to write in Ron Paul
Murgatroy replied to plank white's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Any vote that isn't for Romney is a vote for Obama. Regardless of your opinion, what you have to ask is, are you so willing to prove your unhappiness that you would squander your vote and allow Obama to be the president for another four years. I really don't see what is so hard to understand about this, it is simple math. 4 votes. 2 for Obama, 1 for Romney, 1 for Mickey Mouse. You voted Mickey Mouse to show your displeasure of the system, and Obama just won by 25% of the vote. -
There I helped to set it right.

I don't see why not. I moved out of state several months ago, no one ran me off.

I always like me some Ray Stevens.

I have been using the hand held steamer method, my favorite so far. -
I really like the large skull on the stock. How did you do it if you don't mind sharing? Freehand or pattern?

Welcome aboard. Good group of folks here.

Welcome, I grew up in your neck of the woods. It was a lot nicer back then. I miss it on occasion, but not that much.

I might also add, that the beard has a calming effect on my daughter, to the point that she will not go near a man without a beard. That one took us a few years to figure out. I have a friend who the first time he meets the family, my daughter will talk to him. After a year or two, she has no problems with him, ever. My brother on the other hand, whom she has seen weekly her entire life, she still gets shy around. Finally one day my buddy leaves and I come back in the house and she asks "Where did Matt go, with the beard?" It all clicked after that.

I have worn a beard since before I could grow one. Until I was somewhere in my mid twenties it grew patchy and looked bad. I still wore it. I wear a beard more because I hate to shave. Or at least that is how it started. Now, after wearing a beard for as long as I have, well, I can't imagine life without it. I am also one of those cats that has brown hair and a red beard. My family is of Irish Descent, so I guess that makes sense. My mother and brother are both bright redheads. My daughter has red/brown hair that is getting darker as she gets older. I keep mine trimmed, although I have been known to let it grow out. This picture is a couple of years old, but it shows the red clear as day for me and my daughter:

Where does the R come from then? I am talking about 7.62x39mm being called 7.62 Russian or .30 Commie. No R anywhere in there. I am not talking about 7.62x54mmR being called that. Never heard that round called anything other than that. Protip, if you are gonna be an ass, be right about it.

Also, go to their website after you become a member, they have A LOT more shows available for streaming, what is shown on your device is a small selection. You can add them to your Instant Queue and they become easier to find. They have something like 100,000+ shows available last time I checked, like last year.

We have had Netflix for years. It was a better bargain when you got streaming and rentals, but after they changed their plans we went to streaming only. Better than any pay channel by far. It has enough series and the like to keep the whole family busy. We have good broadband at home, and we have several capable machines. My daughter will watch Spongebob on her computer, my wife can watch Armywives in the bedroom and I can watch Jericho on the big tv. Be hard to imagine life without it now that we are soft and spoiled.
-
My Jericho drops the hammer if the safety/decocker is on when you rack the slide.
-
What he said.I think you are kinda overlooking the fact that with a SA/DA pistol, it is impossible to get a round into the chamber without working the slide, and thus cocking it. Unlike your break action 20ga you had as a kid, or a SA/DA Revolver with a swing out cylinder.

I am not a big fan of television, but with SoA and Justified FX is at the top of the heap right now, right there with AMC. Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy and Justified are hands down some of the best television in history in my opinion.

I keep meaning to pick one up, but I haven't yet. I will stop procrastinating one day.

Same. When I saw that Chuck Norris and Van Damme were gonna be in it I was stoked.

Yup.There is a lot of speculation about this, but all of my research on the matter says the same thing. Commercial loads are not safe in surplus NATO chambered weapons. This of course is the opposite of the .223 vs 5.56 rule, which is what I think confuses a lot of folks.

Incorrect. Taken from here: http://www.tn.gov/revenue/faqs/salesandusefaq.shtml#16 Are sales made on the Internet subject to sales or use tax? Yes. Even if a seller does not collect Tennessee sales tax from you, when you ask a dealer to deliver an item to you in Tennessee, you are responsible for paying use tax at the same rate as sales tax. Click here to download the return. Why does a catalog company or an online seller located in another state charge Tennessee sales or use tax? If an out-of-state business, such as a catalog company, has a physical presence, or nexus, in Tennessee (a business, warehouse, sales representative or agency relationship), then that business is required to register to collect sales or use tax on merchandise delivered to a Tennessee customer. If the out-of-state business does not have nexus in Tennessee, the business is not required to collect Tennessee taxes. Many Tennessee businesses and consumers are unaware that use tax is owed on items they have imported into this state without paying sales tax to the seller. The use tax has been in effect since 1947 and is the counterpart to the sales tax. When someone buys merchandise online or through a catalog and the seller of the merchandise does not collect sales tax, the consumer who bought the item has a legal obligation to file and pay use tax on the merchandise. The use tax is levied at the same rate as the sales tax. Some businesses located in other states voluntarily register to collect Tennessee sales or use tax to eliminate the customers obligation to file a consumer use tax return. Consumer use tax returns are available on the department's Web site, www.Tennessee.gov/revenue. I really wasn't trying to make a huge issue out of this, I was just trying to originally point out that it is normally the same cost to have it shipped as it is to buy locally. If I however must play devil's advocate for the brick and mortar store inventory I will. With that said, I search for the deal. I buy my ammo wherever it is cheapest. I will admit that I have been paying 20% more at my LGS for ammo because I like him, and he has regular stock that Walmart doesn't. I still buy from Walmart, but I go in weekly and buy $30 in ammo from my LGS. This has built a good relationship to the point where he has offered to beat Bud's by $10 per firearm transaction. Which since I now live in Kentucky and Buds is only an hour away, works out really well for me. It worked out well for me on my latest purchase from him. I am not trying to champion the cause, or call anyone out for tax evasion. I am trying to point out an often overlooked law that folks use as their main reason to shop online. Reasonably so, but that 'savings' from not paying tax isn't really what you think it is.

There are chamber adapters that will allow you to shoot x39 out of a x51 gun. It is done often enough. A lot of old surplus rifles (small ring Mausers converted to x51 comes to mind) are converted, there is quite a following behind it. I myself have been looking into a conversion. I don't know how old you are, and I don't mean this in a slight at all, but 7.62 Russian is a commonly accepted term for 7.62x39mm as well as .30 Commie. I grew up using both terms and I still do.

When Kahr bought Magnum Research they started importing them again. They have six variants now (not including three calibers.) Steel and polymer, full size, semi-compact and compact. I know that the polymers have a good reputation from those that have bought them, but I think they are ugly, especially compared the beauty of the full steel models. I get a kick out of a lot of reviews I read on these, folks claiming they are ugly. I guess there is something for everyone, because I firmly believe this is the best looking pistol out there. And it shoots well to boot.

Bac's collection is no joke. And that is just his 1911s. He also has wheel guns and some other rare pistols.

A quick google search shows that this happened seven years ago, and the judge is not facing charges. The video is almost a year old. It does however make me sick.
