  1. That was some good television right there.     "People underestimate Bob."
  2. You know, I came into this thread to mention a Marlin Guide Gun in .45/70 Gov't and/or a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan in .454 Casull. However, I will be in my bunk. I am a sucker for a wheel gun, and holy smokes, is that a wheel gun. I have followed Bowen's work for years, but somehow, that has escaped me. I am in pure lust.
  3. My brother bought a brand new one in `03. It was one time I really wish the bugger had called me. I don't like it. I have done most of the work on it over the years, but I still don't like it. Granted, the only major issue it had was warrantied. But it did toast the tranny at 20k. They have come leaps and bounds in ten years though. Our local Kia dealer is running a special right now, two Kias (Rio or Soul, mix or match) for $222 a month. I haven't read the fine print, but thankfully it happened a couple months after I bought my Mustang. I would hate myself for driving a Kia...
  4. That is still East Knoxville, remember North on a map is called East. East on a Map is South. South on a Map is West, and West on a map is North. Confusing, but you get used to it.
  5. I like it. I have wanted a Deuce and a Half for years.
  6. Two completely different cars in the same class. The Integra is more upscale than the Civic.       Op,   You can't really go wrong with a Honda or Toyota if you find one in your price range.    However, that is a pretty steep bet looking for something with less than 120k and only $3,500. I am not saying it is an unrealistic pipe dream, but I am saying Good Luck.   By crossing the Fords off your list you are cutting out the Focii, which are a decent breed of commuter car.   I am a Fordyota man. I have a highly modified Celica, I daily drive a Mustang (>30MPG HWY) and my wife drives and Explorer, so I am slightly biased.
  7. I am on a board with Joerg as well, and the things he does in insane. He has partnered with a slingshot manufacturer and does have a small handheld laminate model available. I don't think it is cheap. I can't recall the name off the top of me head, but in the underground world of slingshots, he is the undisputed king.
  8. You won't find a house in West Knox for under $1000 a month.   Look to North Knox, Powell, Emory Road area, Oak Ridge Highway, Karns. Part of that is technically West, but Knoxville likes to rotate the compass 90*. East is really North, South is really West, etc...
  9. Gosh, I should be sorry for climbing my way out of poverty and making something of my life? I feel so cheated, this whole time I thought it was because I busted my ass. Now I find out it is just because I am white?   Man, I am pissed.
  10. I always wanted one of those for a dedicated .22LR build.
  11. They don't replace the motors, they junk the cars. It is a tax liability to own a car older than around ten years. Stimulates the economy. This creates a large secondary market for Japanese Domestic Market engines for export to other countries.   Before shipping became absurd, the preferred method was to buy a 'front clip;' which is the front half of the car from the dashboard forward. This ensured you got the wiring harness and all related components, something you are't guaranteed with an engine set.   Most JDM engines have ~100k kilometers on them, which is around 60k miles. Still low mileage for imports.
  12. To be honest, after working in fiberglass, once you build the framework, something like that wouldn't be absurd to build. Just... difficult.   Kinda looks like an upside down boat.   I assume it is for Paintball?
  13. The Glock 19 is almost the perfect first gun, or carry gun.   I love mine. It is the right size, the right capacity, plenty of goodies for it, it is one of the most popular guns in the USofA for a reason. You will be able to find any kind of holster your mind can imagine.    And... 9mm is cheaper, higher capacity in the same size, less recoil and for most intents and purposes, with modern bullets, just as effective as .40S&W.
  14. I would be down for that.          Realistically though:   They have several Zombie Themed Paintball Parks throughout the year. I keep wanting to go to one, but they are stupid expensive. Part of being a zombie prepper is the whole cheapass aspect, y'know?   I like the Left4Dead idea, buy and old abandoned mall or something. I think it could be a lucrative idea right now, with the way zombies have become mainstream. Paintball would be the cheapest and easiest option.
  15. Congrats. I wish I had a dream to follow. I just keep to the grind it is working so far.
  16. That is cool, we can teach you to Snipe Hunt, I am sure there are members near you that would be willing to take you out and show you the ropes.
  17. My thoughts are with you.
  18. Been a while since I have taken anyone snipe hunting. Good times. They can be pesky little buggers, it helps to make noise with the bag and call them. "Ear Snipe, Snipe, Snipe!" has always worked for me.
  19. Same as cutting the barrel.
  20. Good episode. I was pleased with how it went down.   Gonna be a shame about Shelby. I liked his character, I was hoping he would stick around.
  21. I always liked the Raptor, but right now I am really digging the Super Carry line.   My dream pistol this week is a Super Carry Ultra+.
  22. You have to be a Benefactor to post in the for sale forum, not to PM the seller to buy it.
  23. Top Gear did this.
  24. It was interesting, but I haven't made my mind up about it yet.
  25. Anyone else going to watch this tonight?
