  1. Leave earlier or resign yourself to getting there late.     I drive five mile an hour under the speed limit everywhere I go.   It is less stressful. I don't have to worry about idiots that can't drive and hold up traffic if the are all in front of me.
  2. Still sounds like some good service.

    RUSH

I saw them at Starwood ages ago, for their 30th anniversary tour or what not.   Best concert I have ever been too.   They took the stage at 7 or so and played till after midnight. No opening act, no filler. Just pure awesomeness.   I am a huge Rush fan.
  4. It has to hit me right after vacation. I am still half tempted to run down to Lex and pick one up.

    Trikes in TN

That is the first time I have seen something like that. That is pretty nifty.

If price is a concern, you could always just add a Voyager Kit to an existing bike.   There is the issue of hand controls as well.
  7. They can add the box and antenna. It is often a dealer installed option. If you don't have the antenna, you don't have the box.     My car is the basest model, but the radio has the buttons for Sirius and Phone. Neither work. For something like $400 I could get the factory box, install it and have Bluetooth and Sat radio.   If you have the antenna, the dealership just doesn't know how to turn it on.

    STG 44 22 LR

I am eagerly awaiting the .22LR MP40.   I think rifles like that in .22LR are the bees knees. They are fun to shoot and you don't have to worry about damaging a rare or costly original. 22LR is cheaper to shoot than some obscure intermediate or rifle cartridge. If the prices get back to normal it is cheaper than 9mm too.   The same concept for the .22LR ARs, training aids that are cheaper to shoot.
  9. If you can find Preacher, who inked at Mountain Tattoo for years, he was pretty much regarded as the best in Knoxville for more than twenty years.
  10. I loved to watch him play. He was always smiling. He was always having fun, so joyful when he told you what he was going to do. Five clays, a balloon and then two more clays, not a problem...   It was a rough weekend. Two greats were lost.
  11. A hacksaw could remedy that...
  12. It is amazing how far calm, cool and collected can get you.
  13. I am not gonna lie, anything with an AR mag is a better rifle. They are easy to find, many different flavors and sizes, simplifies logistics...
  14. I hate to say this, but I kinda like those, they give it a nice futuristic look, unique. I don't think I would ever own one, as the functionality baffles me, but they sure do look neat. If it were me, I would just buy a lever gun and get really good with it. But, thanks to the grace of god, I live in a free state.
  15. You didn't throw any pizzas at them did you?                             Seriously though, there are several positions open at my facility in Goodlettsville, good benefits, but the hours suck. A lot. It is hard work and pays crap, but it is steady.  PM me if you would like some more information.
  16. Depending on how short you go with a pump you won't hold that many more rounds. I think the Serbu only holds two?   I am biased, so take this with a grain of salt, but I personally think I can touch off and reload the SxS faster than I could touch off and reload two in a pump. It is an accepted fact that a double trigger will always allow you to get your second shot off faster than any other action. Of course, you have to get back on target.   Several years ago I had to deal with a predator at my property in Monroe county. Had a very antisocial and wounded dog come up and start eating my mother's chickens. Her dogs were all small and the final straw was somewhere around twenty stitches for her older chihuahua. I took two rounds of 00 and the dog and I had a rather short chat about apex predators and why humans are at the top. Pumps and semiautos are nice, they have a little added weight, the semiauto eats up a fair amount of recoil, and even the pumps have rubber pads built in.   A coach gun doesn't have any of that.   All the force of those barrels goes right back into your shoulder. And rib cage.   There is nothing I own that is nastier at full tilt boogie than that damn coach gun. But it is downright friendly with some low brass birdshot.
  17. I was never in a foster home growing up that had guns.           Now, with that out of the way. What infuriates me is when any piece of ghetto/hill trash can spit out as many kids as they like and use them for nothing more than a paycheck and a punching bag, and the state is fine with that, even stalling for years to remove the children from the home, and someone who is willing and capable to give a good home has to spend a small fortune and go through the wringer.   I can't think of a single home I was in as a child where I had 'loving' or 'caring' parents. I was a paycheck. I was to stay in my room. Not be out after dark. Even in my teen years when I was working, I was required to handle everything by myself, from clothing to food. It was not something I enjoyed, nor something I would wish on any other child.   I wish you luck, and I wish there were more like you.
  18. Rural King and Tractor Supply both usually have plenty of several breeds, and can take larger orders.
  19. See if you can find a Rossi Overland.   It would be the last gun I ever parted with.   My family has been using a 20" SxS for as long as I can remember for HD. It was the first shotgun I ever shot. And probably the gun I own that I have shot and carried the most. It is like an old friend.   It has the external hammers and double triggers, and is built like a tank. They are very popular, and those that have them don't like to come up off of them, but if yo ucan find one, I honestly don't think you could do better.   Mine was imported in the early 70's best I can tell.
  20. My daughter and our cat have been nonviolently cohabiting the same domicile for nearly seven years without major injury or fatality.   Sometimes you just have to accept the little things as miracles.   Moeko WAS NOT thrilled when the new bundle came home. She still isn't. They two of them will acknowledge that cohabitation must occur, but they have yet to get past the evil glare phase.   The funniest part is bed time. They have to be in the same room together, or neither of them can sleep. I honestly think it is the fear that one or the other could possibly get treats or attention unfairly as opposed to any form of affection.
  21. Congratulations!
  22. Nope, but a talk with the manager probably would have ensured that she never did it again.
  23. Well, that was a mature way to handle the problem.
  24. I still remember the first time I tried to feed my Yankee wife a slaw dawg.   Ten years later and she still gets bent out of shape about it.
  25. If they look at me goofy when I order Sweet Tea, I leave.   If they ain't got biscuits and gravy on the menu, ain't no need in me a being there.
