Gas `em. I grew up in the hills, we would sled all the time, without snow. You just sled down the mountain in a plastic sled. Lots of fun for young kids. One day my cousin, his little sister and I were sledding down the mountain behind his house, in that order on the sled. We started going too fast, so I reached out and grabbed a small tree to get off the sled. Jennie, in the middle, grabbed my legs and Mark just kept going. Turns out that tree was about six foot above a rather large yeller jacket nest. I got stung once or twice, but poor Jennie, she must have been hit a few dozen times. Mark made it to the bottom of the mountain safely. We gassed them bastards off of our mountain.

That sounds like a blast.

Dobermans make great family members.

I love working in restaurants, until I went to college all I knew how to do was swing a hammer or turn a wrench. When times got lean, or the weather got cold, I would get a job washing dishes, flipping a burger or delivering pizza. Hands down some of the most fun I have ever had. Then when I was somewhere in my mid twenties I realized that there wasn't really much hope of a future in it, so I went to school for something that I haven't used sense. But I have a nice office and I get to tell a lot of folks what to do all day. I still miss goofing off in a kitchen.

Rednecks on TV making fools of themselves is considered good television now. I guess they think we are too stupid to realize we are being made fun of, so no one gets offended. My wife loves watching stupid stuff like that, The Gypsy Sisters, the trailer park show, whatever. To be honest, that kinda stuff deeply offends me cause I spent a good chunk of my life getting away from that. When I see that crap on TV I feel sorry for them because they are too stupid to realize they are being taken advantage of, they honestly think someone cares about what they are saying and doing, not that they are being watched and folks are going "Wow, folks really live like that, those poor stupid inbred white trash bastards..."

I found this place and Zombie Squad because of Glocktalk.com. The only good thing I have found there.

I have several acquaintances that use a dash cam and swear by it. They have nearly all purchased the same one due to price and usability. Myself I have thought of grabbing one. http://www.amazon.com/Vehicle-Recorder-Camera-Traffic-Dashboard/dp/B00ABW6L5K/ref=pd_sbs_e_30

It was said mostly in jest. To be honest, she doesn't know how to use fix-a-flat either. Which is why I have already taught my seven year old to change oil, do a tune-up and change tires. We start on engine rebuilding this summer.

I have a fullsize spare (on a matching factory wheel) on the wife's truck. I have a full size spare (of custom size to match my current wheels) in my hotrod. I have a a full size spare of matching size and wheel for my classic. My brand new Mustang has a space saver spare. I haven't had the time to get a matching spare. I take nothing for granted. Before I drove off as the new owner of ANY of my vehicles I took an immediate inventory of the condition, location and usefulness of the spare tire, battery location, jack location and storage room for a small toolbox and jumpercables. All of my cars have these at a minimum. Edited to add: My wife would be thrilled with a can of fix-a-flat and an aircompressor. It is faster, less effort AND she would know how to use it. I am nearly certain that cars are required to carry this if they aren't equipped with a spare tire from the factory.

I thought this might be something that could be appreciated here. I have a forum dedicated to a make and model of automobile that I have been running for just shy of ten years. What and where isn't important. The who and how is. Through this forum for an obscure and discontinued nameplate I have made a close group of friends. Friends from all over the world. It is amazing how friends from a website can become friends through life. I have been hosting a small event for the last dozen years at Deal's Gap. We all get together, spends some time on the roads, get some cabins at Fontana and have a great weekend. Through this event and the activity on forum many of the folks I have met I have come to call friends, some, family. Officer Bruce Daniel Jacob of the Jackson Mississippi Police Dept. was one I considered family. I have known Bruce for several years through my forum. He became staff, eventually getting to be an administrator of the site within the last year. Bruce was an honest, giving man, and a damn fine mechanic. Several years ago I blew the engine in my car. Bruce happened to have a replacement engine sitting in his shop. It didn't take much and I wound up loading my car onto a trailer and driving from Knoxville, Tennessee to Jackson, Mississippi to spend the week with he and his wife and swap the engine in my car. That was the kind of man Bruce was. If you needed it and he had it, it was yours. That was why he became a police officer. He wanted to make a difference in the world. Even if it was one person. Bruce made a difference to a lot of people. Saturday afternoon Bruce was responding to a call of debris in the lanes of I-55 through Jackson. As Bruce was putting the barbecue grill someone had dropped into the trunk of his cruiser, he was struck and killed by a car. He was 35 years old. I just arrived home from attending his private family and friends only service on Tuesday. It was a small private ceremony, sans media attention or the fanfare of the pubic service that will be held Friday for a fallen hero. I was very emotionally moved to have been invited. Bruce was a dedicated public servant, a dedicated mechanic and a dedicated husband. The memorial reflected on all of these. However the moment that moved me the most was one photograph. It was of myself and Bruce taken those years ago in his shop, working on my car. It was then that I realized that not only had I considered Officer Bruce Jacob family, but he had considered me the same. Myself and a dozen other members of our internet family based on a forum dedicated to a nearly forgotten car came from all over the country to pay our respects to a man who was family in a way that only this modern technological age can define. I would like to end this with a plea to all that see anyone stopped on the side of the road, please, move over as much as you can. To our officers on the site, thank you for the risks you take on a daily basis to protect and serve. To any who have met someone on the internet and come to call them a friend, I think you can understand this. I have been on this site only a few years, but I have met several of you in person, and consider you friends. I know that some of you are very close. I think you would understand this. I will now put the picture that means the world to me. Rest in Peace Officer Bruce Daniel Jacob.

I have a Lynksis and a Netgear. Both have been good. The Lynksis is currently flashed to DD-WRT and set up as a repeater to extend range though.

1911 9MM Mags/1911 38 Super Mags--Interchangeable?
Murgatroy replied to hipower's topic in General Chat
And how does that prove they do or don't work? I thought that is what 1911s do normally? Sorry, I am a Glock guy, I couldn't resist. -
But SYG and Castle Doctrines are just reasons to murder folks without being held accountable for it.
-
South Africa and Puerto Rico do not have 100% gun bans either.
-
Not guilty.
-
That is what concerns me. Not guilt is not guilty. Throwing the Manslaughter charge at him the last instant was bogus.
-
They are asking for clarification on the Manslaughter charge. Clearly they aren't going to find him guilty of second degree murder.

I still have some fake wallets left over from the Home Depot scam. What time are we all getting together?

I went through Penske for my last move. I had a business relationship with the location and paid for insurance and fuel only. Was pretty pain free.

I thought it was obvious there was a real suppressor under the LEGOs, but I guess not.

I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy that. My favorite one so far.

I have been eating Mountain House foods for around 30 years. Good stuff. Beef Stroganoff is the best. Of course I am odd. I like the taste of MREs too...
